The Town is recruiting for its next Administrative Services Director.
The Director must be a versatile public administration professional with a strong municipal finance background, an understanding of human resources and information technology, and a commitment to excellence in public service.
THE POSITION: Report directly to the Financial Services Manager. Performs a wide range of paraprofessional work in performing business license processing, revenues transactions, transacting and keeping official records, providing support to assigned departmental or divisional staff, and assisting in the administration of the standard operating policies and procedures of the department or division; and, performs related duties as required.
The City of San Jose Finance Department currently has one vacant Principal Accountant position in the Accounting Division. Under general supervision from the Deputy Director, the Principal Accountant directs and manages the Specialized Accounting section in the Accounting Division. The Principal Accountant has two direct reports (1 Supervising Accountant and 1 Senior Accountant) and five (5) indirect reports (1 Senior Accountant, 3 Accountants, 1 Accounting Technician.)
This is a Level I Peace Officer designation that performs a wide variety of duties in the enforcement of law and order; and to carry out special assignments in the protection of life and property within the City of Ceres. Receives general supervision from a police sergeant or other designated authority.

Degree: 5% - BA or BS, 7.5% - MA or MS.
5% - Holiday Pay
$0.40 per hour – Uniform Allowance
$0.75 per hour – Bi-Lingual pay
The City of Sunnyvale invites applications for the Public Safety Officer - In Training. The position of Public Safety Officer-In Training is a non-sworn, training classification while incumbents are attending the police and fire academies. Upon successful completion of the police academy, incumbents will be promoted to the sworn, training position of Public Safety Officer I. Upon successful completion of all required training, incumbents will be promoted to the sworn position of Public Safety Officer II.
