The District has one regular, full-time opening for the position of Automotive Mechanic II in the Facilities & Watershed Division. Interested persons must submit a completed District application and Supplemental Questionnaire to the Human Resources Department no later than the filing deadline.
Under general supervision, performs service and repair work on a variety of District vehicles and gasoline and diesel-powered equipment; and to do related work as required.

Monday – Friday, 2:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of a broad range of maintenance-related operations and activities. Assist the Maintenance Services Director with staff reports, commission packets, contracts and representation of the Maintenance Department at various community-based meetings. Provide support to other maintenance staff.

Maintenance Worker I – Buildings & Streets
The Public Works Department is looking to fill two (2) Air Conditioning Mechanic vacancies. The Air Conditioning Mechanic position is responsible for performing HVAC duties at more than 200 civic building sites across San Jose. The position will be responsible for performing the operational support, adjustment, troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems and auxiliary equipment.
