THE POSITION / JOB DUTIES
The Police Public Service Assistant I (PSA I) is assigned to the Police Department’s Animal Services Unit and provides basic care for animals. Examples of job duties include:
· Provide care of animals including feeding, grooming, cleaning, walking, behavioral assessments, enrichment, and exercise.
· Clean, disinfect, and maintain kennels and kennel area.
· Perform dishwashing and laundering.
· Help maintains a computerized record of animals at the shelter.
THE POSITION / JOB DUTIES
The Police Public Service Assistant (PSA) III is assigned to the Police Department’s Animal Services Unit and provides daily support with the customer service and animal shelter operations. Examples of job duties include:
· Assist with animal behavioral assessments.
· Assist potential adopters through the adoption process by completing forms and accurately entering adoption information into the database.

We offer flexible hours between 5:30am-9:00pm Monday-Sunday; limited to 999 hours in a fiscal year (July 1-June 30). Will be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Actual work schedule to be determined through agreement with supervisor.
