We’re looking for individuals to serve as Crossing Guards—a rewarding role that makes a direct impact in our neighborhoods by helping children cross busy intersections safely.
What You’ll Do:
Assist school children in safely crossing streets using hand-held stop signs or mechanical signals
Maintain order among children at designated crossing points
Ensure crossings occur only when safe
The City of Newark is seeking an experienced skateboarding instructor who can connect with participants of all ages, especially youth and teens. The Recreation Instructor will be responsible for the planning and implementation of skateboarding classes to be held at Mel Nunes Skatepark in Newark.
