The City of Menlo Park is currently accepting applications to fill a Mechanic vacancy in the Fleet Services Section of the Public Works Department. A Mechanic performs diagnostic, maintenance and repair services on light and heavy city vehicles and equipment, such as automobiles, storm/sewer trucks, aerial bucket trucks, dump trucks shuttle buses, construction equipment, lawn mowers, small equipment and stationary generators; and performs other duties as assigned.
The Vehicle and Equipment Manager, under the direction of the Road Services Deputy Director, plan, organize, direct, coordinate and evaluate the activities and operations of the Vehicle and Equipment Services section of the Public Works Department, including all aspects of automotive and equipment operations, such as preventative maintenance programs, accounting and equipment management systems, and Capital Improvement plans related to plant renovations and fleet replacement; and perform related duties as assigned.
The San Mateo County Public Works Department is seeking an experienced Road Maintenance Manager with increasingly responsible experience in supervising the work of road maintenance or road construction crews. The Road Maintenance Manager plans, organizes, coordinates and supervises, through subordinate supervisors, the activities of several crews involved in the maintenance, repair and construction of County roads in an assigned area; and performs a variety of technical tasks related to assigned areas of responsibility.
