The City of Seal Beach is recruiting Volunteer Reserve Police Officers. The Reserve Police Officer performs responsible part-time work in the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances, crime prevention and investigation. The Reserve Police Officer is appointed by and serves at the will of the Chief of Police.
Under general supervision, the Community Service Officer assists Police Officers in their work, performs a variety of duties involved with enforcement of laws and ordinances and animal control, conducts crime prevention activities, and assists in dispatching, property control and other clerical support activities. Performs selected police services to the community and/or related duties as assigned.

The Police Public Service Assistant III will assist the Court Liaison Sergeant in a variety of clerical functions in support of the Police Department’s Court Liaison unit. This part-time, temporary position will work twenty (20) hours per week. Work hours will either be Monday thru Friday from 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. or Monday thru Thursday from 6:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
