The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Building Maintenance Technician II in the Administrative Services Department. This class is flexibly staffed up to the II-level. Under general supervision, the II-level performs the full range of semi-skilled and skilled construction, remodeling and building maintenance duties in an assigned area of responsibility with considerable independence. This is the journey-level in the building and grounds maintenance series.
DEPUTY OPERATING OFFICER-WATERSHEDS DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
$168,708-$240,448; placement within this range will be dependent upon qualifications
Duties will include: performing skilled inspections of varied public works, development and related projects; reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, specifications and public works construction contracts; overseeing a variety of tests performed by contractors to verify compliance with City Standard Specifications and Details; scheduling and conducting preconstruction meetings that include contractors, project engineers, utility company representatives.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Inspect playing field and team equipment before the start of each game.
- Set up equipment, supplies, etc.
- Prep the field for play (drag chalk, set up bases, etc).
- Complete game reports.
- Help solve problems encountered by coaches and participants.
- Officiate assigned girls softball games.
- Perform all other related work as required.
- Provide cheerful, helpful service to the public.
Under the direction of assigned Site Supervisor, assists in the provision of recreational activities for small or large groups of children. Job duties will take place in a recreational setting to plan and implement recreational activities such as sports, arts and crafts, and special events. Performs a variety of clerical duties as assigned.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Under general supervision candidates selected for this position will perform a variety of duties but are not limited to enforcing policies and procedures, which ensure efficient and effective operation of pool facilities including personnel management and training.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
PWII: $15.92 to $20.33 per hour.
PWI: $15.20 to $19.40 per hour.
Contracted Pay Rate Increase effective July 9, 2018:
PWII: $16.40 to $20.93 per hour.
PWI: $15.66 to $19.98 per hour.
This is a regular, full time position with full benefits.
