The Legislative and Regulatory Manager is responsible for organizing, assigning, reviewing and participating in the performance of a wide range of professional duties related to Pioneer Community Energy regulatory and legislative matters, with particular emphasis on representation of Pioneer’s interests at the California Public Utilities; develops Pioneer’s positions on complex issues; and develops analyses, written reports, and presentation materials to support Pioneer’s position. • Overseeing the preparation of data requests, testimony, and hearing exhibits and participating in administrative hearings.
• Tracking, reviewing, analyzing and summarizing filings prepared by utilities and other entities that could impact Pioneer and its customers.
• Coordinating and working closely with technical experts and external regulatory counsel to develop effective and persuasive communications before the CPUC, CA Energy Commission, CA Legislature and any other legal or regulatory body as may be needed.

Position Duties  

The Department of Public Works is recruiting to fill two (2) Building Inspector-Electrical Specialty, Combination/Certified I/II/III/Senior positions within the Engineering Services Division, Code Inspection Section.   

The Building Inspector Combination/Certified I/II/III/Senior position will be located subject to business need. This position will provide inspection support at a variety of City of San José facilities, including the Airport, Regional Wastewater Facility and Central Service Yard.  

Key responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to the following:  

• Conduct inspections of industrial, commercial, manufacturing, and facilities to ensure compliance with codes, regulations, ordinances, standards, and contract agreements which includes setting up inspection schedules; gathering information and evidence; and, ensuring conformance to plans, specifications, and safety regulations.   

• Investigate building, construction, and land use changes in the field by gathering factual data to ascertain present use of land and location of structures; conducting background investigations and research; and preparing reports to use as evidence.   

• Provide technical assistance for development of codes and policies.   

• Generate written reports and enforcement orders which includes noting deficiencies in standards and submitting final documentation.   

• Review plans and specifications for compliance with codes which includes assisting in projects in complying with regulations, prioritizing deficiencies, and preparing timetables.   

• Provide technical support for agencies and the public which includes inputting data into system for general public access.   

• Meet with architects, engineers, City officials, and building contractors to discuss construction projects.

Salary Range

The Assistant Director salary range is currently $178, 713.34 - $288, 700.62. Placement within this range will be dependent upon the qualifications and experience of the individual selected. The Position

Reporting to the Director, the Assistant Director serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Environmental Services Department (ESD), overseeing a budget of approximately $550 million and seven direct reports. TOWN MANAGER - TOWN OF LOOMIS

The Town Council of the Town of Loomis, California (population 6,800) is seeking an energetic and engaging individual with a commitment to public service to become its new Town Manager. The Town Manager directs, coordinates, and manages the overall administrative   activities and operations of the Town and advises and assists the Town Council while exercising significant independent judgment and initiative. The City of Dixon is actively recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Department of Engineering/Utilities. The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and reviewing engineering work related to the design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of public works projects. The role also includes the dynamic responsibilities of transportation planning, supervisions of contracts/projects, and management for the successful operation of the City’s wet utilities (water, sewer, and drainage).
