The City of Simi Valley is seeking a qualified Senior Engineer to join its team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for civil engineers looking for variety, challenge, and meaningful work in public infrastructure.

The Senior Engineer will be responsible for managing complex capital improvement projects, conducting hydraulic studies, and performing advanced technical engineering tasks related to the planning, design, and construction of waterworks facilities. Key responsibilities include preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a range of water infrastructure and public works projects, such as:

• Water main line replacements

• Water tank rehabilitation and replacement

• Pump station upgrades

The Senior Engineer works under the general supervision of a higher-level professional engineer and provides lead supervision to assigned engineering staff, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery of projects.

• Work/Life balance with 5.2 weeks of AL (Annual Leave) per year to start (AL combines vacation and sick time).
