School Sustainability Associates (SSAs) lead educational field trips at StopWaste’ s two Education Centers, support school-based programs, and help elementary, middle, and high school teachers and students take action to reduce waste.
SSAs also contribute to agency initiatives such as school infrastructure, trainings, and community outreach campaigns.
POLICE ASSISTANT

DEFINITION
The Police Assistant is a civilian, non-sworn, uniformed position that is responsible for a variety of customer service-based interactions with the community. Duties include non-hazardous enforcement of municipal parking laws and regulations as well as clerical front counter tasks related to phone and walk-in contacts at the police department.

THE POSITION:
The City of Dixon is excited to announce the recruitment for a Public Works Director. The Public Works Director will play a critical leadership role during a period of elevated development activity and organizational transition. This position requires a hands-on leader who can maintain momentum on existing initiatives while advancing new priorities across Public Works, Engineering, and land development functions.
This is an exempt, "at-will" senior management position directly responsible to the City Manager. Salary is negotiated within salary range depending on qualifications.
*Effective the first full pay period following 1/1/2025, a 3% Cost of Living increase and up to 4% equity adjustments will be applied to the hourly wage for the Police Officer Lateral position (totaling 14% in two years). *The listed salary does not include an additional 17.5% in potential incentive pay upon completion of FTO or a projected 14% raise paid over the next two years*
