This position is housed in the Mental Health division of the Health and Human Services Agency. Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of para-professional and complex duties for eligible individuals, families, and groups. If they do not already have the knowledge, this person will have the ability to learn federal, state, and local policies, procedures, laws, and regulations. JOB DUTIES

 

• Plans, assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of employees performing journey level case management; selects, trains, evaluates, and disciplines subordinate staff.
• Assess client’s basic living requirements and assist in obtaining assistance as necessary; serve as an advocate for clients in court as necessary.
• Leads and/or participates in developing and implementing community service, outreach and client advocacy programs.
• Provide program information to the community.
• Attend meetings, training and workshops with other departments, government agencies and local agencies in matters regarding mental and public health services issues.

The City of Marysville seeks a multi-tasking, collaborative team player to work in a fast-paced environment which requires juggling a variety of duties and assignments, while supporting the Administration and Finance Department.  Specifically, tasks will include:

• Prepares and processes necessary forms for new hires, workers compensation claims; conducts interviews to obtain information for personnel processing and assists in completing forms; orients new employees.

• Actively participates in and may lead citywide training in human resource subject areas.
• Conducts research; compiles and prepares statistical information, charts and graphs, and periodic and special reports regarding personnel department activities including classification specification comparisons to determine if other agencies have classifications comparable with Yuba City; responds to salary surveys.
• Plans and participates in recruitment and selection processes; prepares job announcements, advertising materials, places media and internet ads.
• Screens applications to determine that qualifications are met.
• Assists in the preparation and administration of exams, arranges for oral appraisal panels, prepares letters and informational packages for oral boards and briefs members; schedules candidates for testing and interview processes.
• Maintains the applicant tracking system, notifies candidates of the selection procedure results, computes scores, and prepares eligibility lists and certifications.
• Assists in the Completion of annual reporting (ACA) and other benefit-based reporting e.g. Health Insurance based reporting, Deferred Compensation reporting, CalPERS reporting.
• Composing confidential correspondence, letters, and miscellaneous documents.
• Provides support to the City’s negotiations team by taking notes, conducting, and preparing research as directed, filing, and organizing bargaining related materials, formatting of bargaining unit contracts as well as initial contract edits.
• Provides support to a wide variety of City Boards including preparing correspondence, documents for personnel hearings, and setting up for the hearing and other Board functions.
• May provide administrative support to the City Clerk’s office.
• Promotes City wide wellness programs and organizational culture.
• Interprets, applies, and explains applicable City codes, policies and state and federal laws and regulations.
• May plan, organize, supervise, train, or coordinate the work of clerical staff.
• Maintain confidential City personnel files; maintains personnel office files.
• Assists in budget preparation and cost allocation; performs account support duties.
• Preparation of spreadsheets, data entry, processing mail and receiving and screening visitors and telephone calls.

Fiscal Analyst I  is the journey-level classification in the Fiscal Analyst series and is distinguished from the Fiscal Analyst I by the responsibility to perform the full range of duties typical of positions in the class series. The position is located at the Auditor-Controller Division at the Department of Finance and is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

JOB DUTIES

• Reconciles accounts.
• Prepares journal entries for programs, grants and related accounts; posts entries to general ledger; reconciles balances; transfers funds and closes accounts as appropriate.
• Compiles and analyzes data. Performs research and statistical analyses on administrative, fiscal, personnel, and/or programmatic issues.
• Prepares various financial statements including worksheets, balance sheets, income statements, statements of cash flow, adjusting and closing balance sheets, depreciation schedules, allocation schedules, and cost reports.

 

 

This position is located in the Drug & Alcohol/ Substance Use Disorder Services division in the Behavioral Health Department at the Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency. Under general direction this position plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities and staff for a variety of County Health and Human Services Agency programs. This position works under the direction of the Assistant Director or Director. This position is full-time and scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

 

JOB DUTIES

• Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives for department programs; establish schedules methods for services; implement department policies and procedures.
• Coordinate department activities with other departments, divisions, sections and outside agencies and organizations.
• Interpret laws and regulations, including new laws and proposed legislation, to determine relevancy to department operations and services, and assess program compliance with laws and regulations.

Experience: 

• Experience commensurate with each grade level of certification as required by the State of California, which includes some coursework in the area of assignment.

• Wastewater: Possession of a Grade I, II, or III Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certificate issued by the California State Water Resources Control Board.
• All Positions: Possession of a valid Class C California driver's license. Positions in Wastewater require a Class B driver's license within 12 months of employment.

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Analyst to assist with the overall planning, administration, and organizational needs of the Facilities Division services. Primary responsibilities:

• Serve as the main administrative point of contact for the division
• Assist with researching and obtaining quotes/proposals for vendors and suppliers

Summary: 
 Under general supervision, the Courier makes pickup and delivery of District inter-office mail, supplies, and equipment in accordance with District policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate a District vehicle to pick up and deliver items from all District facilities on a daily basis
• Pick up the daily deposit from community centers and ensure its safe delivery to accounting
• Move transportable equipment among district locations as requested
• Prepare outgoing mail, operate postage machine, and maintain records of postage used
• Maintain copy room supply inventory; submit office supply requisitions as needed
• Organize supplies and tidy copy room storage cabinets and workspaces
• Routinely inspect and maintain District vehicle driven, including checking fluid levels, replenishing fuel, and notifying supervisor of maintenance problems with vehicle or need for routine service

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Recreation Division (and some functions shared with Management Services)

Salary Range: Five (5) Steps: $32.79 - $39.86/ hour

Under general supervision, provides varied and complex office administrative assist­ance to a Director and associated division staff; creates and maintains division-specific publica­tions, contracts, tracking systems, reports, records and files required for work processes; acts as a liaison between the Director and other departments, customers and community/business groups; and performs other related duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to this class.

• Performs a variety of complex procedural and administrative duties in support of the division including coordinating office functions and processes.
• Provides information in response to inquiries and performs important public relations duties over the phone, in person and online; provides information and handles issues that may require sensitivity and use of tact and independent judgment; research requests or complaints and refers matters to appropriate staff and/or takes or recommends action to resolve issues.
• Creates and maintains spreadsheets and databases; calculates, invoices and tracks requests for payment for services, leases and fees; processes and records payments for fees.
• Coordinates the assembly, posting and tracking of requests for proposals (RFPs) for the procure­ment of equipment, goods and services; tracks certificates of insurance and vehicle insurance and ensures coverage meets District criteria.
• Assists with solicitation of and tracks donations, sponsorships and other sources of funding; may participate in grant administration functions including collecting program data and generating performance reports.
• Assists with processing special-event and encroachment permits; ensures all required documents are submitted and meet District requirements; notifies field staff.
• Designs, proofs, revises and distributes material for the Division, including flyers, sche­dules, news­letters, tickets and brochures; may assist with maintaining unit website page and with social media.
• Maintains inventory and orders operational and office supplies for the unit following established procedures.
• Processes monetary transactions, including collecting fees, issuing receipts, handling credit card transactions, reconciling cash journal sheets and receipts, and preparing bank deposits.
• Provides administrative assistance to District Boards and Ad Hoc Committees as assigned, preparing and posting agendas and taking minutes of meetings.
• Provides backup for the executive assistant and other support staff and performs reception duties.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• May be required to drive District or personal vehicle.
• May notarize District contracts, agreements, leases, memos and other documents.
• May provide work guidance to staff and volunteers including assisting with training and over­seeing front desk activity; provides infor­mation, instruction and training on work processes, proper uses of equipment and safe work practices.
• Participates during disasters or when emergency response is needed.
• Non-exempt employees may be required to work overtime.
• Performs related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability listed below is qualifying.

Education/Experience: 
A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: completion of at least one year of college-level coursework or a technical certification program and three years of administrative support experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experi­ence.

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as District policies, procedures, government regulations, leases and contracts. Ability to use correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence. Ability to respond to inquiries and complaints, orally and in writing.

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to perform basic bookkeeping functions.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to use common-sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to research and analyze administrative, operational and procedural problems. Ability to effectively interact with the public.

Certificates and Licenses:

• A valid California driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under the District’s vehicle insurance program.
• California Notary License within six months of hire.
• All full-time candidates require satisfactory completion of a pre-employment functional capacity examination.  
• Department of Justice fingerprint clearance.

Other Required Skills:
Use of word processing, spreadsheets and database programs including utilizing infor­mation systems to extract data from databases for interpreting and communicating data. Knowledge of the principles, tools and techniques of project planning and management. Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive and complex issues. Maintain confidentiality of information and work products.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities relating to District employees; training and supervision of volunteers may be required.

• Written Test/Practical Exercise:  A written test and a practical exercise may be used, in addition to the appraisal interview. 
• Appraisal Interview:  A job related appraisal interview will be conducted to evaluate and compare participating candidates’ knowledge, skills, and abilities in relation to those factors which job analysis has determined to be essential for successful performance of the job.
• After the Appraisal Interview, the top candidates will be invited to a staff interview.

License or Certificate:

  • Must possess good hearing ability across a frequency range from 500 Hz to 3,000 Hz. Hearing levels meeting these requirements in the better ear, either with or without a hearing aid, will be acceptable. If an individual meets the criteria by using a hearing aid, then he/she must wear that hearing aid and have a spare power source for the hearing aid.
  • Must possess corrected vision of20/40 minimum, with no color blindness.
