The Legislative and Regulatory Manager is responsible for organizing, assigning, reviewing and participating in the performance of a wide range of professional duties related to Pioneer Community Energy regulatory and legislative matters, with particular emphasis on representation of Pioneer’s interests at the California Public Utilities; develops Pioneer’s positions on complex issues; and develops analyses, written reports, and presentation materials to support Pioneer’s position. Duties include:

• Planning, prioritizing, and reviewing the performance of professional staff involved in the research and analysis of legislation and regulatory issues.
• Developing methods and schedules to accomplish assignments, ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Tracking complex legislation and regulations through multiple amendments and preparing drafts of legislative and regulatory updates on policy issues and programs.

• Representing Pioneer in regulatory proceedings through preparation of data requests, written responses, position papers, analytical models, testimony, and exhibits.
• Reviewing and drafting comments and briefs, providing high level technical and/or analytic input on regulatory and legislative matters.
• Overseeing the preparation of data requests, testimony, and hearing exhibits and participating in administrative hearings.
• Tracking, reviewing, analyzing and summarizing filings prepared by utilities and other entities that could impact Pioneer and its customers.
• Coordinating and working closely with technical experts and external regulatory counsel to develop effective and persuasive communications before the CPUC, CA Energy Commission, CA Legislature and any other legal or regulatory body as may be needed.

Qualified candidates will possess knowledge of California electric utility regulatory issues, CPUC regulatory practices, protocols and procedures; California utility rate design, electric resource planning, demand resources solutions and regulatory relations; and procedures, operations, and functions of legislative and regulatory agencies, including processes for the promulgation of regulations.

The Skywalker Fire Brigade Fire Chief (FC) position will supervise, lead, and train the Skywalker Fire Brigade (Department). This is a management position for 9 employees that staffs one private fire station and has the opportunity to build and direct a motivated staff of firefighters. The Fire Chief will oversee three duty Captains and their projects, providing guidance and leadership for the organization. The Fire Chief will oversee daily schedules with regard to standard prevention activities, training, and special events. Oversee fire prevention inspections, lead vegetation management projects including pile burning, shaded fuel breaks, and interact with the property insurance agent and facilities manager for future projects. The Chief will represent the Skywalker Fire Brigade during county-wide meetings for Operations and Training. Skywalker Fire employees provide an extraordinary level of customer service and hospitality to Skywalker Properties' clientele. While this role operates within a Brigade fire department, the position itself is mostly comprised of prevention and training. Schedule:

Auburn Transit is looking for qualified individuals to join our transit team. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

The Bus Driver I is an entry-level classification responsible for routine tasks and operation of specific transit vehicles. The role is performed under direct supervision from the Transportation Supervisor or designee and does not involve supervision over other staff.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

The following duties are typical for this classification. Actual work may vary based on department needs or change due to evolving business practices.

• Operates a bus or other General Public Paratransit (GPPV) vehicles on City streets and highways in all weather conditions to transport passengers on established routes with designated stops, on-demand rideshare services, field trips and special events.
• Ensures passenger safety by observing passenger behavior, verifying safety belts are secured and rendering aid to passengers in an emergency.
• Assists passengers boarding and deboarding as needed or requested, including senior citizens, individuals with disabilities and care-dependent persons.
• Operates a smart device and two-radio to respond to transit dispatch and on-demand rideshare requests requiring adjustments to existing schedules and routes.
• Operates automatic wheelchair lifts, collects fares, issues passes, secures wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
• Promptly notifies management and completes reports regarding accidents and incidents involving vehicles and passengers.
• Conducts mandatory daily pre-trip vehicle inspections adhering to state and city regulations before each route, including reporting inspection results, daily trip logs, and required vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Performs minor maintenance, repair and cleaning of transit vehicles and fleet storage facility.
• Adheres to all public transit federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations.
• Maintains a valid California driver’s license and passenger certifications required by the state vehicle code, Department of Motor Vehicles, Department of Transportation and other applicable standards.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

The Town Council of the Town of Loomis, California (population 6,800) is seeking an energetic and engaging individual with a commitment to public service to become its new Town Manager. The Town Manager directs, coordinates, and manages the overall administrative   activities and operations of the Town and advises and assists the Town Council while exercising significant independent judgment and initiative. Your role involves receiving critical information, dispatching appropriate Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) resources, providing live-saving instructions, relaying facts, and ensuring effective communication throughout the incident. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals with no prior public safety dispatching experience. Advancement to Dispatcher II is expected within two years, and offers greater responsibility and higher pay.

This position requires the ability to work well under pressure, demonstrate exceptional communication skills, and think quickly during emergency situations. Shift work is required, and you must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
Dispatch Operations:

• Operate a Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) console with a multi-line telephone system, radio console, and office computer terminal.
• Answer incoming calls and gather necessary information to evaluate the nature and urgency of the situation, and triage the call appropriately.
• Following applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines, dispatch appropriate Fire and EMS units, ensuring a prompt and accurate response.
• Keep track of the location and status of fire apparatus, units, and investigators, updating as needed.

• Provide emergency medical self-help instructions to citizens while EMS units are en route.
