THE POSITION: As potential Police Sergeants, candidates in these roles will shoulder significant responsibility overseeing law enforcement and patrol duties during designated shifts. This is an entry level position in the Public Works department requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience in a semi-skilled maintenance occupation. Typical duties include: landscape maintenance, electrical and plumbing repairs, minor construction and light carpentry projects, cleaning public restrooms, keeping public streets and parks clean and in good repair. The employee will check storm drains, culverts and ditches; operate tools and equipment to patch and repair pavement, construct and maintain gutters, sidewalks and other incidental improvements. The ability to operate power tools and work safely, wearing appropriate PPE. Occasional maintenance will be required for the wastewater treatment plant and collection systems. What's the Role?

Distinguishing Characteristics

The Accounting Manager is the management-level class responsible for assisting the Director, or designee, in the day-to-day administrating, directing and managing of assigned divisions. This classification is distinguished from that in the lower classification of Principal Accountant by their responsibility for overall management of the accounting division.

Supervision Received/Exercised

Receives general direction from the Director of Finance or his/her designee. Exercises direct supervision over professional, technical, and clerical accounting staff.

Accountant - This classification is the entry level, mid-management position in the accounting series. THE POSITION

To monitor City facilities during programs and rentals; to open and close facilities; to set up and take down equipment; to provide information and assistance to the public in person and on the phone; to perform general administrative tasks when assigned; to perform certain custodial duties; to ensure user compliance with policies, regulations, and laws pertaining to facility use; and to perform other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

QUALIFICATIONS

Age Requirement:  At least 18 years of age

Education:  Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent

Experience:  At least one (1) year of experience in resource management, parks & recreation, or other relevant customer service positions.

License and Certificates:  Possession of a valid California Driver's License is required upon hire.

BENEFITS

All of these positions are temporary/part time. Temporary employees work no more than 130 hours per month AND 960 hours in a Fiscal Year.

The pay cycle is bi-weekly.  Except for worker's compensation coverage and sick leave accrual, no other benefits are provided. Employees must contribute 1.45% of salary to Medicare and 7.5% to a retirement plan in accordance with Federal Law.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Under the direction of the Town Manager, the Community Development
Director plans, organizes, directs, and manages all activities and operations of the Community Development Department, including planning, building, code enforcement, economic development, and related functions.
This executive-level management position is responsible for the overall administration and strategic direction
of the department and requires broad knowledge of community development principles, urban planning,
land use law, and local government operations, as well as strong leadership, communication, and
interpersonal skills. In a small town like Loomis, the Director is expected to be both a strategic leader and an active, hands-on manager who engages directly with community members, staff, and elected officials. 

This is a full-time, exempt position.  The Town of Loomis offers an attractive compensation and benefits program.  The Salary range $155,905—$189,504 annually; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.  

PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKER

Under general supervision, to perform a variety of assignments in the maintenance, repair, and construction of streets, landscaped areas, and drainage systems; and to do related work as required.   This is a full-time, non-exempt position.  The Town of Loomis offers an attractive compensation and benefits program. The current salary range for this position is $55,879.00– $67,921.00 annually; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and  experience.
