Summary: 
 Under supervision, performs duties in accordance with District policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Instruct official certification courses using guidelines established by the Southern California. Municipal Athletic Federation (SCMAF) and the CRPD Sports Office
•  Submit a list of individuals successfully completing official's course to SCMAF for certification.
•  Confirm certified officials have complied with SCMAF requirements
• Participate in league manager meetings
• Communicate with league managers, answer inquiries from players and managers
• Observe and evaluate officials at league games; compile written evaluations of all officials
• Review league rules and make recommendations for rule changes; provide rule interpretations
•  Organize athletic facility so programing may be conducted in a safe and fair manner
• Officiate with professionalism and fairness using approved officiating mechanics
• Enforce and administer decisions of the game in accordance with SCMAF and CRPD League Rules

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty* satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required:

Education/Experience: Minimum age of 18 years old with a High School Diploma (or GED). At least 1,000 hours of experience in officiating.

Certificates and Licenses:

• SCMAF and/or CIF Officials Certification
• Adult and Pediatric First Aid & CPR/AED within 90 days of hire
• California Driver’s License and proof of insurance
• Department of Justice fingerprint clearance
• Proof of negative TB skin test

Examination:

• Assist in the operation and maintenance of theatre sound, lighting, and/or rigging systems during rehearsals, performances, concerts, and meetings
• Assist in loading, unloading, fabrication, installation, and operation of lighting, sound, wardrobe and rigging systems and manipulation of props in theatrical settings

San Juan Water District Seeks an Electrical Instrumentation Technician

The Electrical Instrumentation Technician is part of the Operations team, performing specialized and technical duties associated with the troubleshooting, maintenance, installation and repair of electrical gear, breakers, electronic equipment, and instrumentation controls associated with surface water treatment plant, pump stations, distributions system facilities, wholesale meters, and medium voltage solar site component. 

Duties Include: 

• Performing corrective and preventative maintenance on electrical switchgear, breakers, transformers, process control systems, flowmeters, transmitters, gauges and other instrumentation and control equipment.
• Performing skilled duties related to the troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation, and testing of instrumentation, Programmable Logic Controller’s (PLC’s), telemetry, electrical and electronic components and instruments used in treatment plants, distribution systems and solar fields. 
• Recognizing, identifying and correcting problems with control and instrumentation equipment.
• Planning, installing and maintaining sophisticated electrical, instrumentation, and control systems; developing and using diagnostic problem solving techniques.
• Inspecting, adjusting, installing, calibrating, and repairing electrical and electronic equipment such as Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s), breakers, transformers, motors, transducers, motor control centers, switches, wiring, electronic circuits, meter transmitters, (Cl2) sensors, and related devices.
• Installing, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting control systems and water quality instruments, analyzers and electrical systems as they relate to water treatment, distribution, and solar systems.
• Working collaboratively with engineering to maintain and modify drawings of District’s Electrical Systems, PLC’s and SCADA systems.
• Assisting in new project design, inspection, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical 
• Systems, including but not limited to, submittals, RFIs, change orders, site layout and planning of specific drawings.

To be considered, candidates should be knowledgeable of principles and practices of electrical theory and electrical circuits, practices and techniques used in the design, installation, testing, calibration, maintenance and repair of radio telemetry, cellular communication, 4160V solar field, electrical and electronic equipment, instrumentation and controls as they relate to water treatment and distribution systems. 

The qualifications include:

• Graduation from high school or equivalent with additional supplementary course work in electrical, electronics, instrumentation, control systems, or equivalent material pertaining to the field of electronics AND
• Three years of journey level experience in the design, construction, installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of electrical/electronic equipment, instrument systems, and control devices common to an industrial facility, water treatment plant, and distribution systems. 
• Possession of a valid California motor vehicle operator's class C license.

The salary range is $55.81 - $66.97, depending on qualifications. In addition, the District offers competitive benefits which include District contribution to CalPERS retirement, medical (100% of premium for most offered plans), dental and vision for employee and dependents; District paid life insurance; 12 paid days of sick leave; 12 paid holidays; and paid vacation depending on length of service. In addition, the District provides retiree health benefits with 50% of the premium paid with 10 years of service and an additional 5% with each year of service up to 100% with 20 years of service in CalPERS participating agencies.

San Juan Water District Seeks a Customer Service Technician

The Customer Service Technician is responsible to provide customer service and support to the public, responding to inquiries and complaints, receiving and processing payments and fees, and assisting with new connection and permit applications.  The District can hire at the I or II level, depending on experience. 

Duties Include:

• Providing customer service in person, by phone, and electronically; responding to inquiries and complaints regarding utility services, rate structures, billing, payments, hydrant permits, and service orders.
• Receiving, processing, and documenting customer utility payments, fees, and reimbursements; processing payments received by mail, phone, in person, and electronically.
• Assisting in resolving water-related service complaints.
• Maintaining customer accounts by monitoring and ensuring the accuracy of account information.
• Providing estimates to title companies when properties are being sold.
• Preparing, tracking, and assigning work orders related to leaks, service line breaks, water quality concerns, pressure issues, meter replacements, and time-and-material tracked services.
• Notifying customers regarding delinquent accounts, non-payments, and returned checks; applying late fees and penalties; following up on payment arrangements.
• Researching and investigating billing and payment inquiries; applying adjustments as appropriate.
• Preparing Will Serve letters, assigning meters, and assisting applicants with the application process.

To be considered, candidates should be knowledgeable of principles and practices of customer service, methods for cash handling and reconciliation, and billing and account management procedures. 

The qualifications include:

I level:

• Graduation from high school or equivalent 

II level:

• Two semesters of college level coursework or two years of experience related to business or accounting 

AND

• One year of responsible experience equivalent to a Customer Service Technician I. 

Both levels:

• Possession of a valid California motor vehicle operator's class C license.

SRFECC is preparing for a Dispatcher Academy, beginning February 2026! As a Dispatcher I, you will be a key player in the public safety network, managing both emergency and non-emergency calls. Your role involves receiving critical information, dispatching appropriate Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) resources, providing live-saving instructions, relaying facts, and ensuring effective communication throughout the incident. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals with no prior public safety dispatching experience. Advancement to Dispatcher II is expected within two years, and offers greater responsibility and higher pay.

Key Responsibilities:
Dispatch Operations:

• Operate a Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) console with a multi-line telephone system, radio console, and office computer terminal.
• Answer incoming calls and gather necessary information to evaluate the nature and urgency of the situation, and triage the call appropriately.
• Following applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines, dispatch appropriate Fire and EMS units, ensuring a prompt and accurate response.
• Keep track of the location and status of fire apparatus, units, and investigators, updating as needed.

Communication and Coordination:

• Transmit critical messages to Fire/EMS units responding to emergencies.
• Provide emergency medical self-help instructions to citizens while EMS units are en route.
