The City Attorney’s Office provides legal advice to all City Departments, the City Council and all Boards and Commissions. In addition, the City Attorney’s Office provides risk management services through the Risk Management Division. 

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in safety and insurance, with hands-on experience in general liability claims, workers’ compensation, and claims investigation. The candidate is comfortable taking a deep dive into safety programs. This individual is highly collaborative, able to work effectively across departments, and skilled at clearly explaining processes, requirements, and projects to both technical and non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate is confident working directly with clients, internal staff, and executive leadership, balancing detail-oriented analysis with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• Assist with planning program curriculum and implementing daily recreation program operations
• Assign staff roles and support development and implementation of program activities

• Interact with participants and parents while modeling and enforcing program and facility safety rules
• Maintain attendance, activity logs, and related program documentation using recreation registration software

City of Half Moon Bay

The City of Half Moon Bay is a Bay Area coastal community of approximately 12,500 residents and is located 25 miles south of San Francisco. About the Position

The Public Works Department is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern with an interest in engineering, project management, and public service. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in local government operations and civil engineering under general supervision and mentorship from professional staff.

The selected intern will assist with a variety of projects and ongoing assignments, which may include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects, including design and construction

• Supporting engineering project managers with clerical, administrative, and technical tasks

• Researching and analyzing programs and initiatives

• Updating internal procedures and policies

• Creating and editing CAD maps, designs, and standards (AutoCAD)

• Participating in field data collection, investigations, and analysis

• Researching development, zoning, and land use-related issues

Minimum Qualifications

About the Position: The Library Activity Leader supports the Makerspace at the Downtown Library and potentially at the library branches and outreach events.
