PHCD is working closely with Stanford’s Center for Youth Mental Health and Well Being (CYMHWB) leadership who have been instrumental in defining the model for California and successfully influencing the State of California Mental Health Services & Oversight Accountability Commission (MHSOAC) to provide start up grants for five pilot centers around the State. The Role:

The City of Redwood City is seeking Firefighter/Engineers who are licensed paramedics. Under direction of the Fire Captain, the Firefighter/Engineer will perform firefighting and fire prevention duties aimed at protecting life and property, operate and maintain firefighting equipment, and provide basic medical assistance.  Firefighter/Engineers also provide Advanced Life Support first responder pre-hospital emergency medical care and emergency medical assistance, perform minor station maintenance, and participate in training to maintain skills.  Please see the Firefighter/Engineer job description for more details.

Required Qualifications:

Experience and Training Guidelines:
A typical way to demonstrate the applicant possesses the required knowledge and ability may be obtained through the following ways:

1. Two years (2) of full-time firefighting service.
2. Possession of a California State Fire Training Firefighter I certificate is required.
3. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license.

GENERAL INFO

Under general supervision, the Recreation Specialist provides essential support to recreation programs and services by performing custodial tasks, event setup and teardown, program support, and minor maintenance duties at various facilities, including parks and community centers. This temporary, parttime position requires working up to 20 hours per week. The role involves ensuring the facilities are clean, safe, and operational while delivering excellent customer service. Performs other duties as assigned.

THE POSITION

Tri-City looking to fill a unique opportunity for Clinical Supervisor I/II who oversees our Internship Program within our Wellness Center. The Clinical Supervisor I position will report to the Wellness Center Manager and will provide administrative and clinical supervision for 4-8 interns year-round.

Description

The Town of Colma Recreation Services Department is currently accepting applications for Recreation Leaders for Summer 2025.  The Recreation Department provides programs and activities for Colma residents of all ages ranging from infants to seniors. Program elements include fitness, enrichment, cultural events, special events, sporting events, trips, and community events. It is the goal of the Recreation Department to offer a balanced program ensuring all elements are offered to all age groups throughout the year. This is a part-time position. Hours will range from 20-37 hours per week.

This position is under direct supervision of the Recreation Coordinator. Leaders will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing the Summer Day Camp at Sterling Park.

Plan, lead, and implement recreational activities for children 4-17 (primarily 5-12) years of age in recreational programs. Supervise program participants in indoors and outdoors settings

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES (This is a general description of duties and is not all-inclusive)

• Plan, implement and lead age appropriate activities for children which may include: arts and crafts, dance, drama, games, sports, songleading, storytelling, field trips and special events

For Children's Services:

This position includes working nights and weekends, as needed.  Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

• Providing reference and reader’s advisory to children, teens, and parents at the Children's Desk, which requires extensive knowledge of children's literature.
• Planning and conducting programs for children including story telling, book talks, and films to encourage reading, viewing and listening and use of library materials and facilities.
• Compiling lists of materials of interest to children.
• Organizing and conducting class visits for preschool and elementary age children to encourage reading and use of library materials and facilities.
• Planning and preparing exhibits, book lists and displays using creative marketing techniques to promote the library’s collections and services.

Education and Experience
Education: A Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program required.

Successful public contact experience in a library setting; knowledge of automated systems; basic library reference materials including on-line databases and the Internet; reference interview and research methods; and knowledge of library systems.
