Minimum Qualifications for consideration: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: 

Education/Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by college level course work in chemistry, biology, environmental science or a related field.

Experience: Two years of increasingly responsible environmental inspection, sampling, and enforcement experience including some experience with industrial wastewater pretreatment programs.

License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver’s license. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Grade I Environmental Compliance Inspector certificate. Possession of a Grade II Environmental Compliance Inspector certificate is desirable

This is one of newer programs within the Marysville Fire Department.  The Marysville Fire Department is hiring continuously for three (3) Seasonal Firefighters.  

For this position, each hour worked will be paid at $16.50, that will be paid monthly in accordance with the City of Marysville's established pay schedule, with a maximum of 960 hours per appointment.

The Police Officer Trainee position is the entry-level role for those who have not yet attended the Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified academy.

The academy lasts six months and is the first step in your law enforcement career. Upon successful completion, officers perform a variety of law enforcement duties to protect life and property in accordance with applicable laws.

Starting salary for trainees is $30.68 per hour while attending the academy, plus excellent benefits.

After successfully completing the Police Academy, trainees are promoted to Police Officer with a salary increase to $35.06 per hour. Officers also receive additional pay incentives such as educational pay and POST Intermediate or Advanced Certification pay. There are many opportunities for advancement.

Our Minimum Qualifications for consideration are:

• Possession of a valid California Class C driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Testing process:

• Upon passing a written examination, candidates will be contacted through email to complete a Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ). 
• Candidates who complete PHQ's in an appropriate and timely manner will be invited for an oral interview with Background Detectives and placed on an eligibility list based on interview ranking.
• Top Candidates will undergo a thorough background investigation including a medical, psychological, polygraph, and drug/alcohol screening.
• A Physical Agility testing will include:
  • One Mile Run (time limit 10 minutes).
  • Solid Fence (time limit 13.5 seconds).
  • Chain Link Fence (time limit 10 seconds).
  • Body Drag (165 pounds) (time limit 14 seconds).
  • 99 Yard Obstacle Course (time limit 25 seconds).
• Chief's Final Oral Interview.

This is the non-sworn, entry-level classification in the Police Officer series. We are seeking a hands-on, mechanics and electronics savvy Instrumentation Technician to join our Public Works Sanitation division. This position maintains, repairs, inspects, plans, modifies, designs, installs and calibrates instrumentation, electrical, and SCADA control systems for wastewater treatment facilities; maintains a spare parts inventory; and trains operations staff in the understanding of instrumentation and control systems related to the process operation.

Details:

• Full-time regular position, 9/80 schedule with every other Monday or Friday off.
• Salary range $35.80 to $45.70 hourly with Excellent Benefits.

Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by college level course work in electronics or a related field.

Experience: Two years of increasingly responsible experience in the maintenance, repair, fabrication and installation of instrumentation systems in a wastewater treatment system, water distribution, water processing, or other industrial process control environment.

The City of Simi Valley is looking for a dedicated, service-oriented, collaborative team leader in the Sanitation Services Division of the Public Works Department. Summary:
Under general supervision, plan, conduct, and participate in recreational program activities according to established programs, schedules, and standards, in accordance with District policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Develop, conduct, and participate in various athletic, craft, social, cultural, and instructional activities
• Prepare facilities for programming, special events, or rental group usage
• Greet visitors, direct participants to the appropriate location, and respond to general inquiries
• Ensure safety of environment and equipment for staff, volunteers, participants, and visitors
• May open or close and secure facilities in compliance with District policies and procedures
• Issue and collect recreation equipment and supplies used by instructors, participants, or visitors

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Minimum age of 18 years old with a High School Diploma (or GED). At least 500 hours of experience in recreation with 15 units completed in recreation or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• First Aid & CPR/AED within 90 days of employment with ability to maintain certifications thereafter as a condition of employment.
• Valid California driver’s license with a good driving record and current automobile insurance.
• Department of Justice fingerprint clearance.
• Proof of a negative TB skin test.

The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department is currently accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for the classification of Correctional Officer.  Under continuing supervision incumbents perform a wide variety of support in two areas: corrections, in which incumbents ensure the security, safety and care of individuals in custody; and bailiff, in which incumbents ensure the safety and security of the courts and their personnel during court proceedings; and perform related work as assigned. The county prisoner population is made up of those who are sentenced to county jail, those serving state prison sentences in the county jail under AB109, and those who are pre-trial and who have not yet been sentenced. The jail provides a necessary link in the criminal justice system.
