San Mateo Medical Center is currently seeking a professional, goal-oriented full-time, regular (benefited) Clinical Services Manager I who will plan, organize, direct, and supervise the operations of our Medical-Surgical (ADC of 35), Intensive Care Unit (ADC 4), and Infusion Center. As Clinical Services Manager I, you will have the opportunity to manage patient care while ensuring appropriate quality of care and compliance with regulations. In addition, you will participate in training, coaching, and counseling activities and perform other assigned duties.

The Clinical Services Manager I will receive direction from the Chief Nursing Officer/Deputy Director and will exercise direct and indirect supervision over professional, clinical, technical, and clerical staff, including consultants and contract service providers. You will join a dynamic team of professionals committed to the mission of our safety net hospital.

This role oversees a large, complex span of control across multiple service lines and requires the ability to manage high-volume operations, competing priorities, and diverse clinical environments simultaneously. The Clinical Services Manager I is expected to operate with a high level of autonomy, making sound operational and staffing decisions while balancing quality, patient safety, and fiscal stewardship. The position requires strong experience in managing large teams, coordinating across departments, and ensuring alignment of day-to-day operations with organizational goals.

The ideal candidate will:

• Possess a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing with certification in a specialty
• Have three years of progressive management/supervisory experience in an accredited hospital or clinic

• Bring strong clinical and operational leadership experience in acute care settings, with the ability to manage across multiple service lines, including Medical-Surgical, ICU, and infusion services

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification: Possession of a valid California license as a Registered Nurse (R.N.).  Must possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificates approved by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. 

Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is;

• Three years of professional nursing experience in an accredited hospital or clinic, of which at least one year included responsible supervisory experience, unless otherwise specified below in the additional qualifications.
• Two years of the required experience must have been in acute care and surgical nursing and includes experience in infusion, including chemotherapy, telemetry, antibiotics, blood transfusions and pediatrics.

Knowledge of:

• Nurse Practice Act.
• Principles and practices of nursing and clinical systems, including safety and infection control practices.
• Principles and practices of community health care including current trends in research, treatment, prevention, education and related services.
• Principles and practices of program management, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Principles of budget preparation and monitoring.

• State and other regulatory requirements for assigned unit or program.

Summary:

Employees receive moderate supervision within a framework of standard policies and procedures and may be assigned to work in different areas throughout the District, including grounds, custodial and open space.

The Senior Civil Engineer (CE) plans, manages, and coordinates the engineering program. Using broad parameters of departmental policy guidelines, this position exercises substantial initiative, judgment, and expertise to meet program and project outcomes. The Senior Civil Engineer creates the scope on large civil engineering projects with complex budgets and timelines, integrating numerous elements that significant stakeholder involvement and sensitivity. This position provides direction and mentorship to more junior staff and oversees both technical and administrative work performed by their staff and ensures that projects are completed efficiently and effectively for the public good. Informing the public and Board of Supervisors, selecting consultants, preparing contract documents, reviewing project plans and specifications prepared by consultants, and administering contracts during construction are performed by the Senior Civil Engineer.

Signing bonus:

In addition to a competitive compensations package, new, full-time, regular hire Senior Civil Engineer are eligible to receive a $10,000.00 signing bonus which will be split into two equal payments: 50% at time of hire (i.e. first paycheck) and the remaining 50% after successful completion of their probationary period.

Hybrid schedule:

The Department of Public Works has embraced a hybrid work schedule that considers that some duties of this position may be performed remotely. The Skywalker Fire Brigade Fire Chief (FC) position will supervise, lead, and train the Skywalker Fire Brigade (Department). This is a management position for 9 employees that staffs one private fire station and has the opportunity to build and direct a motivated staff of firefighters. The Fire Chief will oversee three duty Captains and their projects, providing guidance and leadership for the organization. The Fire Chief will oversee daily schedules with regard to standard prevention activities, training, and special events. Oversee fire prevention inspections, lead vegetation management projects including pile burning, shaded fuel breaks, and interact with the property insurance agent and facilities manager for future projects. The Chief will represent the Skywalker Fire Brigade during county-wide meetings for Operations and Training. While this role operates within a Brigade fire department, the position itself is mostly comprised of prevention and training. DEFINITION: Under general supervision, provide personal fitness training to clients requesting service; maintain personal schedule at the front desk; enforce all rules and regulations pertaining to the safety and well being of all patrons; keep fitness floor tidy and clean. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

• Train clients safely according to current industry standards and training.
• Offer and conduct free fitness floor orientations to new customers during Fitness Floor shifts.

There is one (1) full-time, regular hire vacant position in the Capital Projects Division.

The County of Marin seeks an experienced, motivated leader to manage the Facilities Capital Projects Division and partner with stakeholders in the delivery of high-profile projects at County buildings. This position oversees a major division within the Public Works Department with management responsibilities over facilities capital improvement planning and programming, project development, and preparation and oversight of the division’s operating and capital budgets. The Facilities Capital Projects Division is comprised of ten accomplished project managers, architects, and support staff that develop a wide variety of facilities projects from the planning phase through design, permitting and construction.

The Facilities Capital Projects Division Manager will join the County during an exciting time of growth and development. Overview:

Are you an experienced Vegetation Maintenance professional with five or more years of experience and a valid Class A driver’s license? If so, we encourage you to consider this opportunity with Valley Water.

Maintenance Worker III is an advanced journey-level position responsible for operating a variety of light construction equipment in support of Valley Water’s maintenance and construction projects. This role provides agency-wide support for work on creeks, ponds, reservoirs, and other flood control facilities throughout the county.

Assigned to the Vegetation Field Operations Unit, this position performs a broad range of duties supporting Valley Water’s vegetation management programs. Responsibilities include vegetation control, integrated vegetation management, arboriculture, native plant revegetation, invasive plant management, and biotechnical erosion control on Valley Water properties.

This is primarily an outdoor position requiring work in varying and sometimes challenging environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and rain. Incumbents may also be required to respond to after-hours flood control emergencies, including nighttime callouts.

As a light equipment operator, the Maintenance Worker III must possess a valid Class A driver’s license to operate Valley Water commercial vehicles and to transport light equipment used in vegetation management and flood control projects. Daily equipment operation may include a compactor, water truck, tree truck and chipper, dump truck, and wheel loader. Equipment is used to haul vegetative debris, maintain native plant mitigation sites, support invasive plant management efforts, and assist with Valley Water’s sandbag operations.

This position also ultimately requires a Qualified Applicator’s Certificate (QAC) in Category C (Right-of-Way) and Category F (Aquatics) to mix and apply herbicides and calibrate spray equipment for vegetation control on Valley Water managed properties.

• Prepare soil and install native plant revegetation per established plans; maintain mitigation areas to achieve success criteria and meet monitoring requirements. 
• Install, adjust, and repair irrigation systems, including heads, lines, and controllers.
• Operate a variety of small power tools and light equipment, including spray equipment, mowers, chain saws, weed eaters, pole saw, hydro seeder, small trenchers, loader, compactors, water trucks, forklift, straw mulcher, auger, sandbag machine, and chipper; clean, adjust, and perform minor maintenance on light equipment to ensure proper operating condition. 
• Mix and apply herbicides, and calibration of spray equipment to control the growth of vegetation on and around flood control and water distribution facilities and rights of way. 
• Build or remove browse cages or other devices to keep wildlife from damaging native plant revegetation sites. 
• Build phytosanitary benches, fences, irrigation, etc. in support of native plant holding facility. 
• Participate in Valley Water’s sandbag program as needed. 
• Perform calculations of required work materials; document daily application of chemical use; photo documentation of work, complete work order dailies, best management practices checklists, surveys, forms, and time data entries. Maintain paper and electronic records of work performed.

Possession of a Qualified Applicator’s Certificate or Qualified Applicator License in Category C issued by the State of California’s Department of Pesticide Regulation at the time of hire.

Possession of a Qualified Applicator’s Certificate or Qualified Applicator License in Category F issued by the State of California’s Department of Pesticide Regulation within 6 months of hire.
