JOB ANNOUNCEMENT SECTION:

JOB DESCRIPTION 

Under general supervision of the Parks or Public Works Lead, performs a variety of duties in maintaining and repairing parks facilities, city buildings, city grounds, swimming pool. 

• This is a part-time temporary, non-benefitted position. 
• Flexible schedule; not-to-exceed 1,000 hours per calendar year. 

Part-Time Maintenance Worker - Employee will be assigned 40 hours a week until the 1,000 hours are completed or season has concluded. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES 

Essential duties are inclusive of, but not limited to the following:  

• Mowing, weed-eating, edges, trimming. 
• Cleaning facilities, playgrounds, swimming pool, restrooms and buildings. 
• Up keeping fields, courts and other facilities. 
• Performing basic maintenance work.
• Up keeping equipment, tools and other supplies in proper condition. 
• Maintaining proper tree pruning and trimming on trees.
• Operating all hand tools required for work including: shovels, rakes, picks, hoes, wrenches, drills.
• All other duties assigned.

Glenn County is seeking a Human Resources (Personnel) Analyst I/II to support a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, leave administration, benefits, recruitment, and more. This is a hands­-on, generalist role offering broad exposure to HR operations and the opportunity to make a direct impact on County employees and services. The official job class title for this position is currently the Personnel Analyst I/II. This position is scheduled for 40 hours per week. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

•    Assisting with employee benefits and health plan administration, employee inquiries, enrollment support, and new employee orientation
•    Supporting leave administration processes and maintaining confidential personnel records and documentation
•    Preparing, proofreading, and coordinating reports, agendas, contracts, correspondence, notices, and other professional documents
•    Responding to employee and department inquiries and assisting in interpreting policies, procedures, and personnel-related requirements

The Van Driver, Senior position is located at Health and Human Services Agency. This position operates a light vehicle to transport clients to and from designated locations within the county. The Senior Van Driver will prioritize and coordinate client transportation. This position is scheduled for up to twenty five (25) hours per week.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Operate and drive a light motor vehicle to pick up and deliver clients and children to a designated location within the county or various sites out of Glenn County. 
• Oversee the scheduling of clients’ transportation, coordinate, and assign clients’ transportation to van drivers. 
• May include on-call for driving after hours and on weekend crisis calls, both in and out of Glenn County.
• Adhere to time and transportation schedules to ensure clients are able to meet their scheduled appointments.
• Pick up and deliver paperwork, charts, equipment, materials, and supplies at various locations as assigned.
• May use assigned vehicle to move clients’ belongings from one location to another as directed.
• Check oil, gas, tires, etc. of assigned vehicle regularly to ensure safety and good mechanical condition.

The Deputy Probation Officer I/II/III position in the Probation Department will investigate cases of juvenile delinquency or dependency and adult applicants for probation; supervise and counsel juveniles and adults on probation; prepares reports and recommendations for court. Provides professional casework services to adult and juvenile offenders involving the referral, supervision and rehabilitation of juveniles and adults on probation; and provides advocacy and related services to victims of crimes. The Deputy Probation Officer III is the advanced journey level position in the class. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Prepares and presents reports and recommendations regarding juveniles and adults for the Superior Court.
• Investigates violations of the law by juveniles and adults, and prepares a variety of reports to the court on individuals under the jurisdiction of the court.
• Analyzes and uses information gathered by interviewing the accused and others involved in a case to assess client needs; develops a supervision plan designed to achieve desired behavioral changes; prepares progress reports.
• Arrests juvenile/adult probationers, or makes arrangements through law enforcement agencies for the arrest of juvenile/adult probationers who violate the law or terms of probation; physically restrains juvenile/adult probationers when necessary.
• Makes financial arrangements for the collection and distribution of fines, restitution and other payments.

The Skywalker Fire Brigade Fire Chief (FC) position will supervise, lead, and train the Skywalker Fire Brigade (Department). This is a management position for 9 employees that staffs one private fire station and has the opportunity to build and direct a motivated staff of firefighters. The Fire Chief will oversee three duty Captains and their projects, providing guidance and leadership for the organization. The Fire Chief will oversee daily schedules with regard to standard prevention activities, training, and special events. Oversee fire prevention inspections, lead vegetation management projects including pile burning, shaded fuel breaks, and interact with the property insurance agent and facilities manager for future projects. The Chief will represent the Skywalker Fire Brigade during county-wide meetings for Operations and Training. Skywalker Fire employees provide an extraordinary level of customer service and hospitality to Skywalker Properties' clientele. While this role operates within a Brigade fire department, the position itself is mostly comprised of prevention and training. This is a great opportunity to train and develop individuals in a unique, private environment with a dedicated and passionate team to support our mission.

Skywalker is a private organization that operates 5,000 acres of wildland urban interface land with various types of infrastructure within it. Schedule:

This position will work a semi-flexible 40hr work week as to oversee and manage 3 shifts who are on a 48/96 work schedule. Flexibility is determined by the President and subject to department need as well attending any critical meetings with leadership teams. Remote work hours may be included in the flexibility.

Although rare, there are times when the Chief might have to back-fill staffing and/or provide staffing on apparatus due to non-fillable vacancies or training needs.

Share your passion by teaching students! Enrichment instructors lead a one hour class on-site after school. Enjoy the freedom to plan a curriculum on your area of expertise and share that knowledge with a class size of 5-15 students.

Must be 18 years of age or older to apply for this position.

DEFINITION: Plan, organize and execute personal curriculum for elementary age children for a one hour onsite outdoor enrichment program. Program hours could include Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 2pm – 4pm and Wednesday 1:15pm – 3:15pm, preparation hours can be discussed.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Any combination of education, training, and experience, which likely provides the required knowledge and abilities.
