The Las Gallinas Sanitary District has an opening for one full time position of an entry level Collection System Operator, either as a Collection System Operator or Collection System Operator Grade I, depending on qualifications. 

Under immediate and general supervision of the Collection System/Maintenance/Safety Manager and Lead Collection System Operator, inspects, performs preventative and corrective maintenance and repairs District gravity wastewater collection system, sewage pump stations and sewage force mains; performs underground televised wastewater line inspection and hydro cleaning and rodding of sewer lines; inspects and performs preventive maintenance, servicing and mechanical repair of stationary and mobile equipment; and performs related work as required. 

Class Characteristics
Collection System Operator: This is the trainee-level classification in the collection system operator series. Initially under immediate supervision, incumbents learn to inspect, maintain and repair District collection system infrastructure, pump stations and related facilities and equipment. Incumbents learn to perform tasks according to District practices and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations. Since this class is often used as a training class, incumbents may have only limited or no directly related work experience. 

Collection System Operator Grade I: This is the first working classification in the collection system operator series. Positions at this level usually perform most of the collection systems infrastructure, pump station and related facilities and equipment inspection, maintenance and repair duties required of the positions at the II-level but are not expected to function at the same skill level and usually exercise less independent discretion and judgment in matters related to work procedures and methods. Work is usually supervised while in progress and fits an established structure or pattern. Exceptions or changes in procedures are explained in detail as they arise. Since this class is often used as a training class, incumbents may have only limited or no directly related work experience. 

The base salary range, dependent on qualifications, is:

Collection System Operator: $6,422-$8,196 per month
Collection System Operator Grade I: $6,747-$8,611 per month

TOWN MANAGER - TOWN OF LOOMIS

The Town Council of the Town of Loomis, California (population 6,800) is seeking an energetic and engaging individual with a commitment to public service to become its new Town Manager. The Town Manager directs, coordinates, and manages the overall administrative   activities and operations of the Town and advises and assists the Town Council while exercising significant independent judgment and initiative. In this smaller-sized entity, the Town Manager will need to be comfortable with a hands-on and collaborative approach to day-to-day  management. This will include providing strong leadership and frequent interaction with the small team (Finance, Community Development, Engineering and Public Works), fostering a    collaborative, open dialogue, and teamwork. POSITION DESCRIPTION, DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Under immediate supervision, the Customer Service Technician performs a variety of customer service and billing support duties, including processing payments, maintaining customer accounts, responding to billing inquiries, and coordinating service orders. The position also provides administrative support to an assigned supervisor and performs related work as required.

This is the entry-level class in the Customer Service series. Employees in this class typically have little or no directly related work experience but demonstrate the ability to perform the full scope of duties and meet performance standards. Incumbents work under close supervision while learning job tasks, progressing to general supervision as procedures and processes are learned.

• Two (2) years of responsible experience similar to Customer Service Technician is desirable

The Legislative and Regulatory Manager is responsible for organizing, assigning, reviewing and participating in the performance of a wide range of professional duties related to Pioneer Community Energy regulatory and legislative matters, with particular emphasis on representation of Pioneer’s interests at the California Public Utilities; develops Pioneer’s positions on complex issues; and develops analyses, written reports, and presentation materials to support Pioneer’s position. • Planning, prioritizing, and reviewing the performance of professional staff involved in the research and analysis of legislation and regulatory issues.

Course Instructors have the opportunity plan curriculum in your area of expertise and share that knowledge with a class size of 5-15 students. We need instructors for all types of programs and classes at the Community Center, with a focus on adult/senior education. We are looking for instructors with skill levels able to teach their craft to others with multiple years of experience. Class interests include everything from fitness, balance, card games, arts and crafts, music, and special interests.  At Mill Valley Arts and Recreation, we embrace a culture of diversity and invite instructors to deliver the highest quality inclusive recreation programs to our community.

DEFINITION: Plan, organize and execute personal curriculum program classes. Program hours based on class date, time, location with your direct supervisor.  Preparation hours can be discussed.
