The City of Live Oak is looking to hire a Part-Time Assistant Planner. 

Definition 

Under direction of the Community Development Director, to provide basic professional level planning services in the areas of current planning and advanced planning, and to do other related work as required. 

Class Characteristics 

This is the entry-level class in the professional Planner series. This class is distinguished from the Associate Planner by the performance of the more routine tasks and duties assigned. These positions receive general supervision from higher level professional and managerial staff.

Examples of Duties 

1. Review and route planning documents. petitions, permits, packets and records; analyze environmental checklists and environmental information forms and make specific recommendations following department procedures;
2. Review business license applications and development projects for zoning compliance; Coordinate the logging, data entry and distribution of a variety of planning and zoning documents;
3. Assist and represent planning staff at meetings;
4. Assist professional and technical staff with special projects including surveying, data gathering and reporting, analyses and computerized report presentations;
5. Compile spreadsheets and tables used in planning and zoning studies and reports;
6. Develop and update database records; coordinate program and archive files.
7. Respond to basic inquiries from the general public and resolve issues related to the City's planning and zoning procedures and specific permits; research and provide information to City staff and the general public regarding land use issues and standard environmental documentation;
8. Process zoning entitlements and prepare staff reports;
9. Confer with and advise architects, builders. attorneys, contractors, engineers, realtors, appraisers and the general public regarding standard City planning and zoning procedures.
10. Assist in drafting of ordinances;
11. Prepare a variety of reports and draft ordinances for City staff, the City Council, and the Planning Commission; prepare correspondence to fulfill policy and legal requirements and other similar documents.

The City of Live Oak is looking to hire a Part-Time Code Enforcement Officer I or II DOE. 

Salary Range

Code Enforcement Officer I: $24.638 - $32.106 per hour

Code Enforcement Officer II : $27.375 - $35.673 per hour 

Definition 

Under general supervision, the Code Enforcement Officer I/II position primarily performs residential, commercial, and industrial site inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with City Municipal Codes and regulations in the areas of housing, zoning, development, and signage codes; investigates citizen complaints of public nuisances, quality of life, and health and safety issues; seeks voluntary compliance or issues citations; and performs related duties as assigned.

Class Characteristics 

Code Enforcement Officer I: This is the entry-level classification in the Code Enforcement Officer series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn and perform routine and less complex assignments, while learning City policies and procedures. As experience is gained, assignments become more varied, complex, and difficult; there is greater independence and less supervision within the established guidelines. Positions at this level usually perform most of the duties required of the Code Enforcement Officer II – level but are not expected to function at the same skill level and usually exercise less independent discretion and judgement in matters related to work procedures and methods. Work is usually supervised while in progress and fits an established structure or pattern. Exceptions or changes in procedures are explained in detail as they arise. This classification is alternatively staffed with Code Enforcement II and incumbents may advance to the higher level after gaining experience and demonstrating a level of proficiency that meets the qualifications of the higher-level class.

Code Enforcement Officer II: This is the journey-level classification in the Code Enforcement Officer series. Positions at this level are distinguished from the Code Enforcement Officer I – level by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned, working independently, and exercising judgment and initiative. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.

Examples of Duties: Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Receives and responds to complaints regarding violations of zoning, housing, dangerous building and property maintenance codes, abandoned or inoperative vehicles, debris, unsanitary conditions, overgrown vegetation, signage, and other municipal code violations.
• Investigates possible violations, photographs evidence, and communicates with responsible persons via telephone, in person, or in writing; interprets codes and regulations and explains inspection procedures and regulations to involved parties.
• Prepares investigates reports and initiates procedures to obtain compliance with City codes by meeting with citizens and property owners, providing recommendations for compliance, issuing citations for violations as necessary, and conducting follow-up investigations.
• Prepares non-compliance cases for legal action; presents testimony at hearings.
• Coordinates with property with property owners and/or other City staff on abatement of hazardous items and/or abandoned property on vacant lots and other premises.
• Maintains records and prepares reports of inspections and related code enforcement files.
• Performs a variety of public relations and outreach work related to assigned activities by providing information on City codes and related regulations.
• Develops and maintains positive public relations with emphasis on customer services; maintains communication among the parties and responds to and resolves issues and complaints or refers them to the proper staff for resolution.
• Administers grants related to code enforcement activities, participates in grant application activities.
• Conducts special studies, surveys and analyses, and prepares reports as assigned.
• Observes and complies with all City mandated safety rules, regulations, and protocols.
• Flexible availability required; must be able to work varying hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill two (2) full-time vacancies for the position of Peer Support Specialist I/II (PSS) within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP). This position requires individuals to work on-site 5 days a week from 9:00am to 5:30pm, until training is successfully completed. Once fully trained, your schedule may adjust based on team needs and role requirements. 

Tri-City is looking for individuals to serve as a Peer Support Specialist I/II on a full-time basis for the MCCP. The MCCP Peer Support Specialist will be part of a team that provides crisis intervention and stabilization, linkage and referral, consultation, and education within the scope of practice. The MCCP Peer Support Specialist will report to the Mobile Crisis Care Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

• Respond to client's (Full-Service Partnership and Adult and Children’s Outpatient Programs & other specialty mental health services) crisis calls with or without law enforcement;

• Perform field-based & telephone emergency mental health evaluations & crisis stabilization in accordance with agency procedure;

• Provide crisis intervention & stabilization services to individuals, groups, and families;

• Identify treatment needs & make appropriate referrals for necessary services;

• Perform triage & linkages to non-client community members in the Tri-City catchment areas. Provides peer-to-peer support services in the office and/or in the field including, but not limited to outreach, support, encouragement, guidance, advocacy, & referrals to external resources & services for clients & their families; builds rapport with clients & their families through sharing stories of lived experience and recovery.

The City of Live Oak (Public Works Department) is recruiting to fill ONE vacancy as as a Maintenance Worker I, II, or III. Classification will depend on qualifications and experience.

Description 

Under varying levels of supervision, performs maintenance and repair of City facilities, roads, streets, water and sewer maintenance activities and performs other duties essential to the maintenance of the City. Current and valid  water distribution certifications and Class A/B commercial drivers license are highly desirable. 

Classifications 

Maintenance Worker I: This is the entry-level class in the maintenance series. Under immediate supervision the applicant will perform semi-skilled labor and maintenance and repair. Salary $40,333.75 - $52,125.54 per year ($19.393 - $25.063 per hour) DOQ

Maintenance Worker II: This is the journey level class in the maintenance series. Under general supervision the applicant will perform semi-skilled and skilled labor and maintenance repair. Salary $44,680.45 - $57,743.03 per year ($21.484 - $27.758 per hour) DOQ

Maintenance Worker III: This is the senior level class in the maintenance series. Under limited supervision the applicant will organize, assign, review, and participate in the work of assigned personnel engaged in maintenance equipment operation work pertaining to building, maintenance and repair. Salary $48,664.92 - $62,892.37 per year ($23.399 - $30.234 per hour) DOQ

THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill vacancies for the position of Psychiatric Technician I/II (Licensed) within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP) for the night shift. 

Tri-City’s MCCP operates 24/7 to provide crucial support in mobile crises. As such, the schedule will involve a 3/12 shift pattern, consisting of three twelve-hour days per workweek and one alternating eight-hour day every other week. Shifts may include weekends, daytime hours, and holidays.

This position will first work a 5/40 schedule for approximately 3-6 months of training before transitioning into the night shift schedule.

Examples of night shifts are included below:

• Night Shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 7:00 PM - 3:00 AM, 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM, or 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM

Weekend and night shifts will be entitled to Shift Differential Pay of $2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday shifts will be entitled to Holiday Pay.

Tri-City is looking for individuals to serve as a Psychiatric Technician I/II (Licensed) on a full-time basis for the MCCP. This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but are not limited to, the following:

Positions at the Psychiatric Technician I level may perform some of these duties and responsibilities in a learning capacity.

• Under the direction of clinical staff, provides medication management services to a caseload of clients in the office and in the field; ensures the proper acquisition and administration of medication.
   
• Provides education and training to clients, their families, and/or staff on the proper care and use of medications, including symptoms of, reactions to, or side effects of, specific medications; informs clients of the impact of abuse and/or misuse of medications.
   
• Conducts home/field visits to evaluate client’s physical environment and behavior such as anxiety, withdrawals, and behavioral health progression/regression.
   
• Takes and records measures of clients’ vital signs, physical condition, and behaviors; assists and observes clients self-dispense medication as prescribed by a psychiatrist and administers scheduled injections.
   
• Conducts medication checks on clients to assess their overall medication management capabilities; takes appropriate action if client poses danger with respect to the use or abuse of medication; observes, evaluates, records, and reports to professional staff changes in client’s condition.
   
• Motivates clients to develop self-reliance in daily living; encourages clients to participate in group and/or individual therapy/program activities.

Tri-City is now actively recruiting for a Clinical Supervisor I or II for the School Based Services Program within the Child & Family Clinic. The Clinical Supervisor I/II position will report to the Clinical Program Manager and will supervise Clinical Therapists.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Collaborate with Program Manager to provide appropriate staff placement based on the clinical needs of the patients and ensure delivery of quality patient care; monitor, maintain, and adjust staffing levels according to unit productivity and staffing goals; participate in data collection for unit based on quality assurance indicators

• Provide guidance to subordinates on Agency philosophy, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures through casework conferences, staff meetings, and work review; assist and participate in the development and coordination of in-service training and staff development programs.

• Coordinate, supervise, and direct the clinical, operational and program activities, inclusive of unit personnel, on a day-to-day basis to meet unit objectives.

• Provide direct services to clients under appropriate scope of practice.
