The Behavioral Health Clinician I/II performs a variety of professional duties in the provision of outpatient and crisis behavioral health services to individuals and groups. This person will work with complex casework which may include clinics, criminal justice, adult services, youth and family services, and other mental health settings where they may be asked to  respond to crisis situations, work with case managers and psychiatrists in treatment teams and be familiar with various treatment modalities to ensure clients are in appropriate treatment services. The position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

JOB DUTIES

• Provides individual, group, and family counseling on a variety of mental health problems and substance use disorders; develops treatment plans; provides follow-up counseling and assists patients with the resolution of problems.
• Observes patients on-site at schools, etc., as necessary; conducts home visits as necessary. Participates in outreach activities, providing information to the community regarding prevention, intervention, and education.
• Provides psychotherapy to children and adult clients or their relatives through individual or group therapy methods.
• Receives referrals from the courts or other individuals or organizations regarding individuals requiring treatment services; develops and implements treatment programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:  Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. Additional specialized training in communications or a related field is desirable. 

Experience: Some emergency or non-emergency dispatch experience is desirable. 

License/Certificates: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Terminal Operator Certificate within one year of employment.

The County of Yuba is recruiting for both Extra-Help and Full-Time Juvenile Corrections Officers I/II, in an effort to fill current vacancies and expand staffing levels. These positions are located on the Tri-County Youth Rehabilitation Campus which falls under the Juvenile Institutions Division of the Yuba County Probation Department.  The primary responsibilities of this flexibly staffed position are to: provide care, custody, supervision, and control of youth housed in the secured detention facilities while they are pending legal action or serving a post adjudication commitment; ensure and sustain a safe and secure environment for youth; and coordinate counseling and behavior modification activities associated with the operation of the facilities.

Our Campus provides youth detention services to the communities of Yuba, Sutter, and Colusa Counties as well as several contract counties through our Camp Singer program.  We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, and includes the Tri-County Juvenile Hall, Secure Housing Unit, and Maxine Singer Youth Guidance Center (Camp Singer), under a Joint Powers Agreement between the three counties. The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Civil Engineer in the Public Works Division of the Community Development and Services Agency. Under limited supervision, the Senior Civil Engineer will perform the more difficult professional engineering work including the preparation of civil design plans for various Public Works projects, conducting research studies, performing field inspections and testing, analyzing reports, maps, drawings, or geological data, and procuring permits; act as a resource to staff, contracts, consultants, other agencies and the public regarding areas of assignment; provide lead direction and technical assistance to assigned staff and/or project management; and perform related work as assigned. Associate Engineer: is the journey level in the civil engineer series. Responsibilities may also include providing work direction to technical support staff.

Associate Civil Engineer: is the advanced journey level in the civil engineering series. Under general direction, incumbents perform professional engineer work and prepare civil design plans for various Public Works projects; independently conduct engineering feasibility cost, research and design studies and construction project work; analyses for varied department and agency projects and functions; signing off designs and as-built changes related to roads, bridges, culverts and other County infrastructure and perform related duties as assigned.

This rewarding and impactful position safely assists school children in crossing busy intersections by halting vehicles through the use of mechanical signals and/or hand-held stop signs; maintains order among children waiting to cross the street at street crossing points; permits street crossing only when safe to do so; reports the license numbers of vehicles violating school crosswalk-related traffic laws to Community Services management personnel or the Simi Valley Police Department; and, instills an awareness in school children of safety measures necessary for safe street crossing. 

Pay rate for this position is $16.50 hourly
