GENERAL INFO  

Under general supervision, the Recreation Leader I/II positions provide essential support to recreation programs and services by performing custodial tasks, event setup and teardown, program and administration support, and minor maintenance duties at various facilities, including parks and community centers. Lifeguard Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure Patron Safety: The primary responsibility of a lifeguard is to protect lives by preventing injuries and accidents. The Judicial Council of California is accepting applications for the position of Senior Fiscal Analyst for the Budget Services office.  

The Senior Fiscal Analyst serves as the lead staff for the Trial Court Budget Advisory Committee and its three subcommittees: Funding Methodology, Revenue & Expenditure, and Fiscal Planning, providing comprehensive support for all committee operations. This role manages the Funds Held on Behalf of the Trial Courts program, a fiscal process that assists courts in managing their operational budgets. The analyst also provides budgetary support for the Court Interpreter Program and acts as a key backup to the Senior Fiscal Analyst responsible for the trial court allocations and Workload Formula policy implementation. This position requires advanced, journey-level analytical expertise to manage complex projects and programs, conduct in-depth research, develop fiscal policies and procedures, compose official comprehensive written reports, and serve as a subject matter expert in trial court finance and planning.

• Provide high-level professional support in a backup capacity to the Senior Fiscal Analyst position that oversees the trial court budget allocations of $3 billion annually and the Workload Formula policy. This role collaborates extensively with Judicial Council leadership and trial court representatives to ensure effective governance of trial court funding and policy execution. 
• Provide advanced-level analytical and budgetary support to the Court Interpreter Program. This includes technical assistance to the Language Access Program for annual court interpreter allocations to the trial courts, implementation of budget proposals, and review of reports to the Legislature and other documents. 
• Provide support for the development and implementation of the annual trial court budget. Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that support trial court operations, ensure fiscal integrity, and support the goals of the Judicial Council. 
• Document and maintain detailed records of operational processes, procedures, and related backup information to ensure clarity and consistency for key budgetary processes that support the trial courts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, finance, accounting, or a directly related field, and four (4) years of professional experience in accounting, financial analysis, budgetary, or contract administration/procurement. 

Possession of a bachelor’s degree in a directly related field such as accounting, finance, business, etc., may be substituted for one (1) of the years of required experience. An additional four (4) years of professional experience in the assigned function as noted above may substitute for the bachelor’s degree. Or, additional directly related experience and/or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Juris doctor, Master of Business Administration, or master’s degree in a directly related field for the assigned discipline such as finance, contract administration or accountancy, and one year of experience as identified above.

One (1) year as a Fiscal Analyst in the assigned field with the Judicial Council of California or one (1) year of experience performing the duties of a class comparable in the level of responsibility to that of a Fiscal Analyst in a California superior court or California state-level government entity.

The Position

• Install, maintain, repair and research a variety of supervisory controls and replacement electrical components that are part of advanced wastewater treatment processes such as aeration, filtration, disinfection and dichlorination, sludge dewatering, odor control, and an environmental laboratory.
• Perform wiring required for the installation of electronic equipment; electrical conductors in conduits; splice high and low voltage cables utilizing hand taping and pre- molded splice kits.
• Design, install, maintain, repair, test and construct electrical assemblies.

What You’ll Do

The Senior Engineer supervises and participates in the conduct of complicated engineering planning, design, and investigation activities.

Some duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Supervise and participate in the development of designs, plans, specifications, and estimates for the construction of public works projects related to the WWTP.
• Coordinate with contractors, construction managers, construction inspectors, and the design engineers to resolve issues during construction.

Definition

Under general supervision of the Economic and Housing Development Manager, assists in organizing and implementing an Economic Development Workplan that promotes the growth and development of the City’s economic base, including the facilitation of housing production and new building permits, the retention and expansion of existing businesses, and, sourcing new businesses for the City. This position will also support the Economic and Housing Development Manager’s staffing of the City’s Economic and Community Development Committee.

Distinguishing Characteristics

This is the journey level class within the Housing and Economic and Housing Development Specialist series. Employees perform the full range of duties as assigned. To perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work involving the trimming, removal, installation and general maintenance of trees.  The purpose of this recruitment is to fill a current vacancy in the Community Services Department, as well as establish an eligibility list for future vacancies.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The Ideal Candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of practices and procedures identified by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) as they relate to a municipal setting. The Ideal Candidate will also possess good communication, customer service and writing skills, as well as demonstrate competence working with computers and related software, e.g., maintenance management and MS Outlook. Additionally, they will have a strong work ethic, ability to climb trees, work out of an aerial truck, be available to work overtime and perform standby duty as needed. The Ideal Candidate should have knowledge in operating chain and hand saws, operating a chipper, a background in landscaping with planting trees, and experience with setting-up and tearing-down of traffic control. Tree Trimmer I:
This is the entry level class in the Tree Trimmer series.  Positions in this class will usually perform most of the duties required of Tree Trimmers I and II; however, as compared to the Tree Trimmer II, is not expected to function at the same skill level and will usually exercise less independent discretion and judgment on matters related to work procedures and methods.

Tree Trimmer II:
This is the journey level class in the Tree Trimmer series.  This class differs from Tree Trimmer I in that incumbent performs more complex duties.  This incumbent Tree Trimmer II may also be expected to assist in the oversight and training of less experienced personnel.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Prune trees and shrubbery to provide clearance of streets, sidewalks, signs, and lights, and as necessary to ensure continued health of the plant.  Remove fallen trees, dead limbs, and other debris resulting from storm damage and general conditions.  Participate in the large-scale application of herbicides and pesticides.  Clean and maintain trimming equipment.  Work both independently and as a crew member in removing trees and stumps.  Plant, stake, spray and inject trees.  Operate a chipper, aerial truck, mist sprayer and miscellaneous equipment which could include routers, loaders, forklifts, and dump trucks.  Use a variety of hand tools including hand saws, pole saws, chain saws, and pole loppers.  Regular and consistent attendance.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
May perform street drainage maintenance or other public works maintenance work when not assigned to tree trimming duties.  Respond to emergency situations after regular working hours.   Perform related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Tree Trimmer I
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Six (6) months of work experience involving tree maintenance or landscaping work including some tree trimming.

License and Certificate: Required upon hire, possession of a valid California driver's license.  Must obtain a valid Class B California driver’s license, Work Zone Safety I certificate from the International Municipal Signal Association (or Department approved equivalent), First Aid and CPR certification prior to permanent appointment.

Tree Trimmer II
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Eighteen (18) months of work experience involving tree maintenance work including pruning, trimming and caring for trees.

License and Certificate: Required upon hire, possession of a valid Class B California Driver's License.  Possession of a Work Zone Safety I certificate from the International Municipal Signal Association (or Department approved equivalent), First Aid and CPR certification prior to permanent appointment.  Possession of a Certified Commercial Applicator license from the State of California and Certification as an Arborist by the International Society of Arboriculture is highly desirable.

GENERAL INFO
