Under general supervision, the Swim Instructor’s Aide assists in teaching swim lessons to persons of all ages. Some evening and weekend hours may be required. Mandatory pre-season in-service training sessions will be held in June.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The City of Dixon is recruiting qualified Lifeguard/Swim Instructor I/II applicants for the 2026 Aquatic season.
Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor and Senior Lifeguard/Swim Instructor, Lifeguard/Swim Instructor performs a variety of duties to ensure the City of Dixon swimming pool is a safe and enjoyable aquatic facility. Supervises pool patrons, enforces pool rules, performs first aid and emergency rescues, instructs swim lessons, performs cashiering duties, leads recreational activities; performs related and other work as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Pool Manager (20703480)
Under the direct supervision of the Aquatic Supervisor and Aquatic Coordinator, the Pool Manager is responsible for overseeing pool activities and staff and managing the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program. This position involves assigning work schedules to the staff. Some evening and weekend hours will be required. Additionally, training, pre-season preparation, and post-season evaluations will require extra time. Mandatory pre-season manager training and all staff in-service training sessions will be conducted before the season begins.
