SRFECC is preparing for a Dispatcher Academy, beginning September 2025! As a Dispatcher I, you will be a key player in the public safety network, managing both emergency and non-emergency calls. Your role involves receiving critical information, dispatching appropriate Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) resources, providing live-saving instructions, relaying facts, and ensuring effective communication throughout the incident. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals with no prior public safety dispatching experience. Advancement to Dispatcher II is expected within two years, and offers greater responsibility and higher pay.

This position requires the ability to work well under pressure, demonstrate exceptional communication skills, and think quickly during emergency situations. Shift work is required, and you must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays.

What's the Role?

The ideal candidate for this position must be an effective finance professional, creative problem solver and adaptable to change.  Under general direction, performs complex work of considerable difficulty in governmental accounting and financial analysis. Plans, organizes, manages and directs the activities of the Accountants, Accounts Payable, and Payroll within the Finance Department, provides highly complex staff assistance to the Director of Finance within the Finance Department; performs other related duties as required. Experience in government accounting is a plus!

Distinguishing Characteristics

The Accounting Manager is the management-level class responsible for assisting the Director, or designee, in the day-to-day administrating, directing and managing of assigned divisions. This classification is distinguished from that in the lower classification of Principal Accountant by their responsibility for overall management of the accounting division.

Supervision Received/Exercised

Receives general direction from the Director of Finance or his/her designee. Exercises direct supervision over professional, technical, and clerical accounting staff.

The Position
Special Events Attendants work behind the scenes making all Recreation and Community Services excel! This job entails interacting with the public and vendors participating in recreation and community activities, facilitating arts, crafts, games, and sports; performing participant check-in, reception duties and cash handling duties; assisting with large equipment (stage and booth) set-up, take down and housekeeping; opening and closing facilities. As experience is gained, may provide administrative and onsite program support; assisting with training, leading, scheduling and directing staff; organizing and directing event activities; preparing written and verbal reports and correspondence which may include drafting advertisements and social media posts. The Dixon Fire Department is looking to fill one, full-time regular position of Fire Administrative Analyst. This position provides administrative support in the fire department environment including management of records; office management; reception; research; budget preparation; document preparation; project management; and supervision.

This is the primary administrative managerial position in the fire department environment, reporting directly to the Fire Chief. It requires a considerable degree of initiative, independent judgement and tact in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters. Exercises full supervisor responsibility for the work of technical and clerical positions.
