THE POSITION: The Dixon Police Department is recruiting to fill full-time Police Officer positions at either the Academy Graduate Level or Lateral Level, as well as establish an employment eligibility list for future possible use. Dixon Police Officers are responsible for a wide variety of generalist police services. Opportunities for specialization and advancement are also available. The Dixon Police Department operates on a 12-hour shift schedule.

• POST Intermediate Certificate: 2.5% of base salary

• Completion of 120 college semester units or BA/BS degree: 2.5% of base salary

-Bilingual Pay: 5% of base salary

THE POSITION: As potential Police Sergeants, candidates in these roles will shoulder significant responsibility overseeing law enforcement and patrol duties during designated shifts. Responsibilities extend beyond field supervision, including the enforcement of departmental rules, fostering discipline, resolving subordinate issues, and conducting team performance evaluations. This role requires collaboration with armed personnel, possibly in uniform or plain clothes, requiring a balance of field and office tasks. Regular public engagement, often in high-stress situations, is a key element, necessitating strong interpersonal skills and emotional resilience. The City is currently accepting applications to fill several part-time, hourly positions to work in the theatres at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center.  Under the direction of the Technical Supervisors and the theatre department leads, the Stagehands assist with a variety of tasks related to theatre operations and maintenance.  The schedule will involve working up to 19 hours per week, depending on assignment.  The schedule includes working nights, weekends, and holidays.  On occasion, the position may involve working additional hours in a week.

Primary responsibilities:  

• Assist in the operation and maintenance of theatre sound, lighting, and/or rigging systems during rehearsals, performances, concerts, and meetings
• Assist in loading, unloading, fabrication, installation, and operation of lighting, sound, wardrobe and rigging systems and manipulation of props in theatrical settings
• Perform heavy manual labor

Pay rate: starting at $18.79 hourly 

Locations: Thousand Oaks, CA; Hiring Part-time, flexible hours for:

Summary:
Under general supervision, plan, conduct, and participate in recreational program activities according to established programs, schedules, and standards, in accordance with District policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Develop, conduct, and participate in various athletic, craft, social, cultural, and instructional activities
• Prepare facilities for programming, special events, or rental group usage
• Greet visitors, direct participants to the appropriate location, and respond to general inquiries
• Ensure safety of environment and equipment for staff, volunteers, participants, and visitors
• May open or close and secure facilities in compliance with District policies and procedures
• Issue and collect recreation equipment and supplies used by instructors, participants, or visitors
• Supervise special events, field trips, and other group activities

• Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and community events
• Modify and adapt activities specific to specialized programs or populations, as appropriate
• May assist with transportation in specialized programs

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Minimum age of 18 years old with a High School Diploma (or GED). At least 500 hours of experience in recreation with 15 units completed in recreation or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Certificates and Licenses:

• First Aid & CPR/AED within 90 days of employment with ability to maintain certifications thereafter as a condition of employment.
• Valid California driver’s license with a good driving record and current automobile insurance.
• Department of Justice fingerprint clearance.
• Proof of a negative TB skin test.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively in English in both written and oral form. Ability to write routine correspondence using correct spelling and grammar. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense and exercise good judgement in solving problems.
