MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

• Completion of 30 semester units from an accredited college or university (60 units or more is preferred). REQUIRED: Attach a copy of college transcripts to application.

License or Certificate:

Other Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in or have successfully graduated from an accredited California P.O.S.T. approved basic academy (or California P.O.S.T. approved equivalent).

The Process Control Technician performs a variety of technical and professional engineering duties related to the design, installation, set-up, programming, troubleshooting and maintenance of hardware, software and instrumentation associated with the District’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

They support Operations and Maintenance by troubleshooting, researching, designing, purchasing, and installing field instrumentation, programmable logic controller (PLC), operator interface terminals (OIT), variable speed drives, electrical systems, and other appurtenances. The Process Control Technician provides PLC and OIT programming and installation support making programming changes as required for the efficient operation of new and existing District facilities.

Qualifications

Experience and Education

• Graduation from high school or equivalent, supplemented by college or equivalent course work in engineering, electronics, instrumentation, control systems, and/or computer systems.
• Two years of increasingly responsible experience involving the configuration and programming of process control, instrumentation and operator interface terminals.
• A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field from an accredited college or university is desirable.

Licenses and Certification

• Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver License with a satisfactory driving record to maintain insurability.
• Possession of a State Water Resources Control Board Distribution Operator Certification for Grade D1 is desirable.

The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Advanced Practice Provider in the Health, Housing & Community Services Department! In this role, you will make assessments, provide treatment based on a patient's physical and psychosocial condition, provide patient counseling and guidance in the maintenance of health and the prevention of illness; and perform other related work as required.

In the Public Health Division, the Advanced Practice Provider provides health care at the Berkeley High School Health Center (BHSHC) and the City of Berkeley's Public Health Clinic. This position has overall responsibility for the delivery of clinical care and supports other clinical staff.

This is an hourly, part-time position working up to 19 hours per week. It is not a benefited position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is:

• Equivalent to graduation from a Physician Assistant program from an accredited institution approved by the Physician Assistant Board of California (PAB) and one year of clinical experience in a health-related occupation; OR
• Equivalent to completion of a graduate-level Nurse Practitioner program from an accredited institution approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN). Completion of an approved preceptorship and appropriate academic training in an area of specialization covering extended roles in traditional nursing and must meet all other requirements as an advanced practice registered nurse as specified in standards by the California Board of Registered Nursing.

Education and training in specialty area appropriate to the clinical assignment are desirable.

Other requirements include:

The Agency has an opening for an intermittent Schools Outreach Educator. Under general supervision of the Schools Outreach Project Lead, this position is primarily responsible for coordinating and supporting educational and operational activities at Davis Street Transfer Station Educational Center, the Fremont BLT Enterprises Transfer Station Educational Center and student waste and climate change reduction action projects. Village Park Preschool Program

Village Park Preschool is a play-based preschool program offered by the City of Burlingame Parks and Recreation Department. Definition: Preschool Site Coordinator

The City of Burlingame is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, creative, and responsible Preschool Site Coordinator. Under direction of a Recreation Supervisor, the Preschool Site Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Village Park Preschool ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This role involves managing staff, coordinating programs, communicating with parents, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties

• Program Oversite
  • Coordinate with teachers and staff to ensure lesson plans, schedules, and classroom activities align with educational standards and goals.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of programs and make adjustments as needed to meet the needs of children and families.
  • Manage supply lists and shop for required materials.

ABOUT THE ROLE ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Superintendent of Institutions, the Assistant Superintendent plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the care, custody, and rehabilitation of youth in juvenile hall. You’ll manage core operations and supervise staff across functional areas while fostering a culture rooted in accountability, respect, and positive transformation. Inside the hallways of the Youth Services Center School Department. This role requires sound judgment, strong administrative skills, and a deep understanding of juvenile justice practices. You’ll work closely with medical and mental health professionals, court representatives, and community partners to ensure comprehensive support for youth in custody.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Directly supervise and support Institution Services Managers and facility staff
• Ensure safe and effective operation of juvenile facilities in compliance with state and local policies
• Interpret court orders and oversee appropriate case execution
• Collaborate with law enforcement, health providers, and educational institutions
• Guide staff development, training, and performance evaluation
• Analyze data, prepare reports, and drive operational improvements
• Represent the Probation Department at meetings, hearings, and public forums
• Promote a rehabilitative environment focused on growth, accountability, and future success for detained youth

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN DEMONSTRATE:

• Knowledge of human behavior, justice systems, or rehabilitation, gained through education, training, or experience
• Ability to perform probation-related duties like case management, report writing, and collaboration with partners
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse populations
• Sound judgment in applying policies and procedures fairly
• Experience handling complex casework in a public agency, nonprofit, or justice-related setting
• Experience promoting a rehabilitative milieu focused on future success for detained youth

A typical way to gain these skills may include a bachelor’s degree in a related field such as sociology, psychology, or justice studies, or two years of relevant experience in probation or community-based work.

Individuals must be able to officiate and control games, events, and competitions in a confident, appropriate manner. Ensure all participants understand and comply with game rules and assess penalties when needed. Make game calls with confidence and knowledge of league rules. Keep track of event start times, and start or stop play as necessary.
