MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

• Completion of 30 semester units from an accredited college or university (60 units or more is preferred). REQUIRED: Attach a copy of college transcripts to application.

License or Certificate: 

• Valid California driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Other Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in or have successfully graduated from an accredited California P.O.S.T. approved basic academy (or California P.O.S.T. approved equivalent).
• Physically capable of passing the California P.O.S.T. medical examination job requirements.
• Meet all regulatory requirements for becoming a Peace Officer with a California P.O.S.T. agency.

The Greater Vallejo Recreation District is a Special Service District that has been serving area residents for over sixty years. As a Special Service District, GVRD operates as a separate government agency from the City of Vallejo. GVRD manages 407 acres of public park space including 20 neighborhood parks, 10 community parks, 6 special purpose parks, and Olympic-size swimming pool and 4 community centers.  GVRD maintains over 1,000 acres of public land.

GENERAL SUMMARY

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising staff in landscape activities, defining and adhering to fertilization requirements, conducting inspections of grounds, and responding to resident concerns.

Supervise and participate in the preparation, application and use of chemicals fertilizers and pesticides; prepare and maintain records for monthly pesticides report; inspect pesticide storage facilities for compliance with state and local laws and regulations.

The Department

The Human Services Department (HSD) delivers and supports services by forging long-term community partnerships; engaging with and building the capacity of the community to do its own problem-solving; and leveraging financial and volunteer resources.

The Position

The Multipurpose Senior Service Program (MSSP) Case Manager will perform professional and clinical social work tasks and duties for older adults living with complex medical conditions to assist them to obtain optimum health, financial, and/or social services. As a member of the Human Services Department, this position reports to a Clinical Supervisor in the Aging and Family Services Division.

This is a regular, part-time position (32 hours/week) and will receive pro-rated benefits.

Examples of Job Duties

• Manage a caseload of 28-32 clients comprised of older individuals with complex medical conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive client assessments and develop and monitor service plan.
• Collaborate with team members, Human Services programs, and community agencies.
• Conduct home visits and provide other community interventions.
• Conduct inter-agency and/or family conferences.
• Advocate for clients in accessing services.
• Monitor services provided for each client.
• Maintain timely electronic documentation of services, reporting, and billing.
• Participate in peer chart audits and outside audit preparation.

Wastewater System Supervisor

$37.73 - $48.30 Hourly

THE POSITION

The City of Chowchilla is seeking a full-time Wastewater System Supervisor who, under general direction, supervises, develops, and directs the work of staff performing difficult and complex technical and administrative support related to all programs and activities of the City’s Treatment Operations and Collection System Maintenance Operations; assists with long- and short-term project planning and overseeing the design, construction, maintenance, and operations of the wastewater collection system and wastewater treatment plant, facilities, and related appurtenances and other programs; works with technical and engineering staff to monitor and maintain water quality in accordance with State requirements; coordinates assigned activities with other City departments and outside agencies for services such as meter reading and repair; provides complex and responsible support to the Public Works Director and others in areas of expertise; and performs other duties as assigned.

Incumbent serves as the Division Manager of the City’s Treatment Operations and Collection System Maintenance Operations system. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, supervising, reviewing, and evaluating the work of wastewater operations, maintenance, and operations staff either directly or through lead workers. Incumbents are expected to independently perform the full range of wastewater treatment and collection, maintenance, and operations duties. Performance of the work requires the use of considerable independence, initiative, and discretion within established guidelines. This classification is distinguished from the water worker series in that it has direct supervisory responsibilities. 

The Central County Fire Department (CCFD) is seeking a highly organized and dedicated part-time Coordinator to lead and support the activities of our local Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). This vital position plays a key role in planning, organizing, and overseeing CERT training, coordinating volunteer engagement, and promoting disaster preparedness in the community.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Lead and coordinate CERT training programs in collaboration with CCFD personnel and instructors.
• Manage CERT membership records and submit timely quarterly reports to the CCFD CERT Manager.
• Oversee CERT meetings, deployments, and events, ensuring safety protocols and PPE guidelines are followed.
• Review and manage CERT communications for accuracy and appropriateness prior to distribution.

Support community preparedness efforts and maintain program equipment.

After School Program Technician I's work in the formal Suisun City classification of Recreation Specialist II. Starting hourly rate will depend on qualifications. This position works on average 19-29 hours per week.

The Position: Under general supervision, this position involves organizing, leading, and coordinating a variety of indoor and outdoor recreational and educational activities for an Afterschool Program. This role is classified as Temporary Part-Time to support both seasonal and year-round recreational programs.

On April 29, 2025, Suisun City Council approved a new contract between the Suisun City RPM Department and the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD). This agreement expands after school programming to include to grades TK-5 at Dan O. Root Elementary and Crescent Elementary Schools, making the Suisun City RPM Department the sole provider of after school services at both locations. This is a significant milestone for the RPM department and a reflection of the quality and dedication of our team.  We are excited to continue providing high-quality programs for our community's youth.

THE POSITION:

The City of San Rafael Police Department is recruiting for a full-time, Police Communications Dispatcher.  This is a specialized police civilian classification and performs all duties required to effectively dispatch police services including operating police radio communication equipment to communicate with the public and police.  Receives, interprets, and transmits information essential to the delivery of emergency and non-emergency police services.

• Monitors local emergency services radio transmissions; maintains contact and monitors status of field units; monitors the county mutual aid channel.
• Responds to emergency phone lines, including calls to and from fire department, alarm companies, and tow companies.
• Prioritizes needs of difficult callers, including hysterical victims, incoherent persons and suicidal subjects; assesses and evaluates emergency situations.
• Enters calls for service information into the CAD system, including type, location, nature and description of event; enters all field unit transmissions.
• Enters information into automated systems, including temporary warrants, missing persons, property, stolen vehicles, domestic violence restraining orders and firearms; searches various databases and automated systems in response to information requests.
• Performs a variety of clerical duties, including photocopying, completing forms and maintaining records; receives and responds to document requests for warrants and DMV printouts.
• Operates a variety of specialized equipment related to dispatch work.
• Answers front office non-emergency lines after hours.
• Informs on-duty shift Sergeant of street activity and pending calls for service.
• May train and evaluate new employees.
• Performs related duties as required.

To be eligible for this position you must have knowledge of:

• CAD procedures
