Accounting & General Services Specialist III (20687292)
The Accounting and General Services Specialist III position is in the Public Works Department. This position performs a variety of highly complex technical para-professional administrative duties in support of fiscal and accounting procedures, including budget preparation and auditing a variety of financial records under limited supervision. This position will require thorough knowledge of accounting terminology and procedures. The position is full-time, and scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

DEFINITION To plan, coordinate, supervise and review the activities and operations of the Building Inspection division; to enforce the laws, codes and ordinances dealing with the construction of new buildings and the alteration and safety of existing buildings; coordinate and manager the Permit Center; personally perform the more complex project assignments; and to do related work as required.

Fiscal Analyst I is the journey-level classification in the Fiscal Analyst series and is distinguished from the Fiscal Analyst I by the responsibility to perform the full range of duties typical of positions in the class series. The County of San Mateo's Sheriff's Office Forensic Laboratory, which is accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board in both Testing and Calibration, is seeking to fill a Criminalist I/II position within its Forensic Biology and DNA Section, which includes participation in crime scene examination.
