POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Wheatland Police Department is responsible for providing public safety for the city. Services provided by the Police department include uniformed patrol, investigative services, traffic enforcement and administration. Dispatch services are provided under a contract with the Yuba County Sheriff. The Police Department is staffed with 11.5 FTE positions, of which 9 are authorized sworn positions. The authorized department staffing includes 1 Police Chief, 1 Sergeant, 6 Officers, 3 part-time Reserves and 2 non-sworn positions.

Under general supervision from the Police Sergeant, to perform a variety of duties in law enforcement and crime prevention programs; to maintain order and a safe environment for the citizens of Wheatland; to participate in criminal investigations and crime prevention programs; and to provide a variety of duties relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

The City of Marysville seeks a multi-tasking, collaborative team player to work in a fast-paced environment which requires juggling a variety of duties and assignments, while supporting the Administration and Finance Department.  Specifically, tasks will include:

• Prepares and processes necessary forms for new hires, workers compensation claims; conducts interviews to obtain information for personnel processing and assists in completing forms; orients new employees.
• Prepares payroll documents for employees and benefit changes; acts a liaison between employees, insurance carriers or retirement system to solve problems and answer questions; refers employees to the proper source for information.
• Reviews payroll documents and tracks performance management by following the City’s procedures.
• Prepares, maintains, or monitors various personnel and risk management programs including worker's compensation, safety, random drug testing and insurance.
• Prepares and processes benefit administration documents, including vendor premium invoices and employee enrollment forms.
• Audits benefit systems for both retired and active employees to ensure accuracy and promptly corrects any errors.
• Provides personnel and risk management information related to procedures, policy, rules, regulations and laws to employees, other organizations, and the public.
• Actively participates in and may lead citywide training in human resource subject areas.
• Conducts research; compiles and prepares statistical information, charts and graphs, and periodic and special reports regarding personnel department activities including classification specification comparisons to determine if other agencies have classifications comparable with Yuba City; responds to salary surveys.
• Plans and participates in recruitment and selection processes; prepares job announcements, advertising materials, places media and internet ads.
• Screens applications to determine that qualifications are met.
• Assists in the preparation and administration of exams, arranges for oral appraisal panels, prepares letters and informational packages for oral boards and briefs members; schedules candidates for testing and interview processes.
• Maintains the applicant tracking system, notifies candidates of the selection procedure results, computes scores, and prepares eligibility lists and certifications.
• Assists in the Completion of annual reporting (ACA) and other benefit-based reporting e.g. Health Insurance based reporting, Deferred Compensation reporting, CalPERS reporting.
• Composing confidential correspondence, letters, and miscellaneous documents.
• Provides support to the City’s negotiations team by taking notes, conducting, and preparing research as directed, filing, and organizing bargaining related materials, formatting of bargaining unit contracts as well as initial contract edits.
• Provides support to a wide variety of City Boards including preparing correspondence, documents for personnel hearings, and setting up for the hearing and other Board functions.
• May provide administrative support to the City Clerk’s office.
• Promotes City wide wellness programs and organizational culture.
• Interprets, applies, and explains applicable City codes, policies and state and federal laws and regulations.
• May plan, organize, supervise, train, or coordinate the work of clerical staff.
• Maintain confidential City personnel files; maintains personnel office files.
• Assists in budget preparation and cost allocation; performs account support duties.
• Preparation of spreadsheets, data entry, processing mail and receiving and screening visitors and telephone calls.

Fiscal Analyst I  is the journey-level classification in the Fiscal Analyst series and is distinguished from the Fiscal Analyst I by the responsibility to perform the full range of duties typical of positions in the class series. The position is located at the Auditor-Controller Division at the Department of Finance and is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

JOB DUTIES

• Reconciles accounts.
• Prepares journal entries for programs, grants and related accounts; posts entries to general ledger; reconciles balances; transfers funds and closes accounts as appropriate.
• Compiles and analyzes data. Performs research and statistical analyses on administrative, fiscal, personnel, and/or programmatic issues.
• Prepares various financial statements including worksheets, balance sheets, income statements, statements of cash flow, adjusting and closing balance sheets, depreciation schedules, allocation schedules, and cost reports.

This position is located in the Drug & Alcohol/ Substance Use Disorder Services division in the Behavioral Health Department at the Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency. Under general direction this position plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities and staff for a variety of County Health and Human Services Agency programs. This position works under the direction of the Assistant Director or Director. This position is full-time and scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

JOB DUTIES

• Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives for department programs; establish schedules methods for services; implement department policies and procedures.
• Coordinate department activities with other departments, divisions, sections and outside agencies and organizations.
• Interpret laws and regulations, including new laws and proposed legislation, to determine relevancy to department operations and services, and assess program compliance with laws and regulations.
• Serve as an internal technical expert regarding program matters by providing consultation and guidance to staff regarding problems with complex social service cases and delivery of services, and taking corrective actions to improve the quality and efficiency of social services.

San Mateo County Health, Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) division is seeking well-qualified individuals for the position of Clinical Services Manager II – Behavioral Health Housing Interventions.  
 
This full-time permanent Clinical Services Manager II will serve as a strategic and technical subject matter expert responsible for overseeing a key emerging priority area for BHRS. The position will be responsible for successful implementation of Proposition 1 Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) Housing Interventions requirements and other housing-related strategies for individuals living with serious mental illness and substance use disorders. This role will lead and support BHRS teams with mapping and documenting the current state of behavioral health housing workflows, systems and processes to inform changes and decision making required to support improvement of client outcomes and increased access to permanent supportive housing. The Clinical Services Manager II will collaborate with clinical and operational leadership, data analysts, consultants, community-based providers, managed care plans, housing and homeless service providers, and other key stakeholders to ensure that implementation solutions lead to a seamless experience for the most vulnerable behavioral health clients. 

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Demonstrated expertise in implementing Housing First principles and evidence-based housing interventions to support behavioral health clients.
• A proven record of success in behavioral health program supervision and oversight
• Collaborative, hands-on leadership abilities, with capability of guiding change management, implementing new and innovative solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving clinical efficiency and client care.
• Experience collaborating effectively for system-level coordination with other county departments, housing developers, service providers, health jurisdictions, and other stakeholders.
• At least five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in behavioral health systems, clinical operations and stakeholder engagement and coordination, including two (2) years in a supervisory or lead capacity.
• Knowledge of public sector behavioral health systems, Medi-Cal billing, and state regulatory reporting requirements is preferred.

About Canyon Vista

Canyon Vista is one of several housing projects that supports behavioral health clients.   Canyon Vista is located on the Cordilleras Health and Healing Center Campus in Redwood City.  Telecare provides onsite support for the residents, and Abode oversees property management.   Canyon Vista consists of 57 co-housing units, 27 permanent units and 28 transitional units.  The transitional units includes 15 dedicated Behavioral Health Bridge Housing units.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification: 

• Requires possession of a clinical license in psychology, social work, nursing, marriage and family therapy or the equivalent.

Education and Experience: 

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying.  A typical way to qualify is:

Clinical Services Manager II – Mental Health: Three years of increasingly responsible experience in a mental health or related health services program, including at least two years of significant responsibility for one or more of the following:  program and budget development, funding, utilization, coordination of community resources or program evaluation.

About The Department

The Department of Public Works plans, designs, constructs, operates and maintains facilities and equipment that are safe and accessible to the clients of County agencies, the general public, and County employees. The Position

Locksmiths work in the Facilities Maintenance and Operations Division of the Public Works Department and install, maintain, repair, and service all the locking devices in County Facilities/Buildings, San Mateo Medical Center, Maple Street Correctional Center, Hall of Justice, Maguire Correctional Facility, Youth Services Center, homeless shelters etc.

 

Duties of the Locksmith include but are not limited to: servicing, repairing, and maintaining locks, door closers, and related hardware; maintaining stock for replacement of lock units and parts; maintaining repair and maintenance records, key issues, and duplicate key schedules; picking jammed locks using special tools; devising and adjusting master key systems; and planning lock security systems for County facilities.

 

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience as a locksmith in a commercial, governmental, or industrial setting, with preferred experience in jail locks and electronic lock systems. Familiarity with ADA compliance related to door operators and sliding door mechanics is also preferred. We are seeking individuals from the local Bay Area who have an interest in working for local government and bring relevant government experience to the role. 

 

IMPORTANT: Candidates will be required to complete an extensive security clearance package and undergo a thorough background check conducted by the County of San Mateo Sheriff's Office prior to hire. The selected candidate MUST BE cleared to work around detainees in a locked facility.
