The Position

The Multipurpose Senior Service Program (MSSP) Case Manager will perform professional and clinical social work tasks and duties for older adults living with complex medical conditions to assist them to obtain optimum health, financial, and/or social services. As a member of the Human Services Department, this position reports to a Clinical Supervisor in the Aging and Family Services Division.

This is a regular, part-time position (32 hours/week) and will receive pro-rated benefits.

Examples of Job Duties

• Manage a caseload of 28-32 clients comprised of older individuals with complex medical conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive client assessments and develop and monitor service plan.
• Collaborate with team members, Human Services programs, and community agencies.
• Conduct home visits and provide other community interventions.
• Conduct inter-agency and/or family conferences.
• Advocate for clients in accessing services.
• Monitor services provided for each client.
• Maintain timely electronic documentation of services, reporting, and billing.
• Participate in peer chart audits and outside audit preparation.

THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Public Works (PW) is committed to providing the highest standards of service delivery to its citizens as it works to build, maintain, and update the City’s civic infrastructure. Public Works is comprised of approximately 50 employees with a general budget of $33 million and a Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget that ranges between $15–$30 million depending on the City’s annual infrastructure needs.

Its mission is to ensure San Rafael’s infrastructure meets the needs of a vibrant and growing city through careful management of major improvements and the maintenance of the City’s assets. IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in completing projects, particularly in capital and municipal construction. They must manage all phases of multiple capital programs effectively, keeping contractors, collaborators, and partners on schedule. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to - view the full job spec HERE)

• Plans, organizes, directs and controls all parts of projects from concept through design, permitting, bidding, and construction to the closeout for a portfolio of complex capital improvement projects.
• Prepares and monitors project budgets, including support for obtaining funding.
• Coordinates work of a multi-disciplinary development team across organizational boundaries, including design architects and construction professionals.  
• Develops and maintains detailed project schedules and budgets, tracks expenditures, and recommends cost control strategies.
• Reviews and processes change orders, ensures quality control, and oversees contractor compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Prepares reports, presentations, and communications to inform internal and external stakeholders, including City Council.
• Ensures that contractors are maintaining safe work sites and that the needs of the staff at each project are being protected.
• Coordinates final project closeout including punch list items, documentation, and transfer to operations.
• Manages consultant contracts and coordinates with engineers, architects, construction managers, and inspectors.
• Facilitates cross-departmental coordination and public outreach related to project scope, impacts, and progress. 
• Supports grant application processes and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal funding requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Any combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge and abilities listed. 

• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in construction management, project management, civil, structural or mechanical engineering, facilities planning, design management, architecture, business, economics, planning or a related field

AND

• Five years of progressively responsible experience in project management related to the area of assignment.

The required education is interchangeable with project management experience related to the area of assignment on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two years.

Possession of a master's degree in a field noted above, professional registration or licensure, or Project Management Institute (PMI) / Construction Management Institute (CMI). Either may be substituted for one year of required experience 

• Valid CA driver’s license required.  
• Registration as a licensed architect or engineer in the State of California is desirable.  
• Project Management Institute (PMI) / Construction Management Institute (CMI) certification is desired.

• In the absence of the City Clerk, functions as the City Clerk, attends City Council meetings and perform all of the duties of holding a public meeting, including facilitating public comment, calling roll for Council votes, etc.
• Ensures adherence to established Council meeting procedures and rules; processes Council actions in the form of resolutions and ordinances; performs research, data gathering and analysis for written reports to the City Clerk.
• Prepares Council Chambers or other rooms for meetings.
• Generates Action Agendas and finalizes official minutes. • Processes and responds to Public Records Act (PRA) requests.
• Plans, organizes, develops, implements and administers the City-wide records management system.
• Assists in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for the department.
• Participates in the development and administration of the department's budget.
• Maintains current knowledge of new trends and innovations in the field of records management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Deputy City Clerk I: Equivalent to AA degree and three years of progressively responsible experience using state of the art technology in a local government agency, preferably in a City Clerk’s Office.

Deputy City Clerk II: in addition to the requirements for the Deputy City Clerk I, this level requires at least 4 years of experience as a Deputy City Clerk I or demonstrated ability to successfully complete the essential duties and responsibilities at the full journey level with a high degree of autonomy. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Certified Municipal Clerk designation preferred. 

Both levels: Commission as a Notary Public in the State of California within six months of appointment

The Novato Sanitary District is seeking a highly motivated, and goal-driven individual to join our Collection System team as a Collection System Worker (CSW). The District will hire at the level of CSW I or CSW II depending on skills, certifications and licenses held by candidates in the pool of qualified applicants. 

The CSW performs a wide variety of tasks associated with the maintenance of wastewater collection and reclamation systems, including inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and repairs on lines, pump stations, and treatment facilities. The successful CSW I candidate will possess experience in general maintenance tasks, including the safe and effective operation of a variety of hand and power tools and equipment. Possession of a commercial driver's license is highly desirable. Experience working with sewer cleaning trucks and equipment is also a plus. The successful CSW II candidate will have three or more years of experience in collection system maintenance. Experience in pump station maintenance is highly desirable.

Under general supervision, the Senior Planner performs a variety of professional planning responsibilities and tasks associated with the coordination and implementation of highly complex planning projects; performs a variety of duties relating to the collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of technical land use, environmental, zoning, and other City planning data; and performs other duties as required.

After School Program Technician I's work in the formal Suisun City classification of Recreation Specialist II. Starting hourly rate will depend on qualifications. This position works on average 19-29 hours per week.

The Position: Under general supervision, this position involves organizing, leading, and coordinating a variety of indoor and outdoor recreational and educational activities for an Afterschool Program. This role is classified as Temporary Part-Time to support both seasonal and year-round recreational programs.

On April 29, 2025, Suisun City Council approved a new contract between the Suisun City RPM Department and the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD). This agreement expands after school programming to include to grades TK-5 at Dan O. Root Elementary and Crescent Elementary Schools, making the Suisun City RPM Department the sole provider of after school services at both locations. The Position

The City of Fremont is seeking applicants to fill full-time, temporary positions within the Fremont Urban Forestry Service Corps. These positions are paid and have a five-month duration, starting February 3, 2025, and ending June 27, 2025. These positions work five days a week in small cohorts completing a combination of in-class learning and in-the-field service projects.

The Position

The City of Fremont is seeking a full-time Urban Forestry Service Corps Supervisor. This position is temporary, starting January 6, 2025, and ending December 19, 2025. This position works five days a week supervising and instructing small cohorts of Urban Forestry Service Corps members through a combination of in-class learning and in-the-field service projects. This position reports to the city Urban Forestry Manager.

Examples of Duties

• Educate corps members on a variety of topics related to urban forestry.
• Develop instructional materials.
• Plan urban forestry service projects.
• Supervise and instruct corps members during completion of service projects.
• Assist in grant-related administrative activities such as data collection and reporting.

The Department

The Community Services Department strives to improve the health, wellness and quality of life for Fremont residents by offering a wide variety of exceptional educational and recreational programs and services, historic and cultural resources, facilities, unique attractions, special events, park use and urban forestry.

The Position

One position will be filled as either an Associate Landscape Architect or a lower level Landscape Architect/Designer II, depending upon qualifications and fit. Both positions will perform professional-level landscape architectural work related to the design, construction, and rehabilitation of landscape and irrigation for parks, landscaped areas, and street and urban design projects. In addition, the Associate level incumbent will serve as project manager, team leader and/or supervisor, and consultant manager for site development of city facilities and private developments.

Examples of Job Duties

• Using prescribed methods and procedures, incumbents perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced landscape architect.
• Prepare plans for planting, irrigation, site plans, grading, and layout for parks and median projects.
