The City of Dixon is looking to fill two full-time, regular positions for the position of Wastewater System Operator I/II in the Engineering Department and to establish an eligibility list for future vacancies. This position will perform the operation and maintenance of the City of Dixon's ("City"), Grade III, activated sludge wastewater facility, laboratory facilities, industrial pretreatment program related property and equipment.

To respond to fire alarms, medical emergency, and other emergency activities in the protection of life and property; and to participate in fire prevention, training and station and equipment maintenance activities. The purpose of this recruitment is to fill a current vacancy in the Woodland Fire Department (WFD), as well as establish an eligibility list for future vacancies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The City of Dixon is recruiting for one (1) full-time position of Utilities Maintenance Worker I/II for the Collections division. This position performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks related to the construction, maintenance, and repair of utilities, including the sanitary sewer system and the storm water system; to operate light and moderately heavy power-driven equipment; to perform related duties assigned.
Utilities Maintenance Worker I: This is the entry level class in the Utilites Maintenance Worker series.

The Dixon Fire Department is opening their Firefighter/Paramedic Recruit position for someone to attend the Fire Academy in January 2026.
