All work is expected to be carried out in an ethical, accurate, secure, timely, and confidential manner.  The incumbent must be experienced with software and systems related to computer operating systems, security, networking, data backup and recovery, and office productivity.

Eligibility Specialist I:
The Eligibility Specialist I is the entry-level classification in the Eligibility Specialist series.  Incumbents may have prior experience determining eligibility for loans, financial assistance, unemployment or veterans benefits, or publicly or privately funded health, counseling or social services programs; have completed initial classroom training provided as part of the Eligibility Specialist Trainee training program; or may have the required level of education. Incumbents will be placed in a work team and initially may receive classroom instruction prior to being assigned casework and/or tasks. Incumbents will work under close supervision while learning to independently determine public assistance eligibility, and apply knowledge and skills learned from their training in completing eligibility tasks and applying complex regulations. As incumbents gain experience and work toward the journey level in the series, they are expected to work with more independence and have the ability to complete more complex tasks and/or handle larger client caseloads. Incumbents are expected to progress to the journey-level Eligibility Specialist II upon completion of one year of satisfactory performance in the entry-level Eligibility Specialist I classification.

Incumbents in the Eligibility Specialist I and II classifications typically receive supervision from an Eligibility Supervisor and may receive lead direction from an Eligibility Specialist III.

 The Accounting and General Services Specialist III position is in the Public Works Department. This position performs a variety of highly complex technical para-professional administrative duties in support of fiscal and accounting procedures, including budget preparation and auditing a variety of financial records under limited supervision. This position will require thorough knowledge of accounting terminology and procedures. The position is full-time, and scheduled for forty (40) hours per week. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Coordinates services and repairs with maintenance staff and/or vendors; conducts inspections, investigations, or interviews as needed to identify problems.
• Enters data into computer systems and maintains information systems database; enter data, processes transactions, assess and validates data, compiles documentation, examines, reconciles and adjusts financial records and reports.
• Tracks progress of projects, payments, expenditures, and reimbursements.
• Creates, maintains, and monitors facility related agreements and contracts with outside vendors and contractors; monitors vendor/contractor/landlord performance, ensuring discrepancies or problems are resolved and work is done in accordance with contractual requirements.

San Juan Water District Seeks a Customer Service Technician

The Customer Service Technician is responsible to provide customer service and support to the public, responding to inquiries and complaints, receiving and processing payments and fees, and assisting with new connection and permit applications.  The District can hire at the I or II level, depending on experience. 

Duties Include:

• Providing customer service in person, by phone, and electronically; responding to inquiries and complaints regarding utility services, rate structures, billing, payments, hydrant permits, and service orders.
• Receiving, processing, and documenting customer utility payments, fees, and reimbursements; processing payments received by mail, phone, in person, and electronically.
• Assisting in resolving water-related service complaints.
• Maintaining customer accounts by monitoring and ensuring the accuracy of account information.
• Providing estimates to title companies when properties are being sold.
• Preparing, tracking, and assigning work orders related to leaks, service line breaks, water quality concerns, pressure issues, meter replacements, and time-and-material tracked services.

• Preparing Will Serve letters, assigning meters, and assisting applicants with the application process.

To be considered, candidates should be knowledgeable of principles and practices of customer service, methods for cash handling and reconciliation, and billing and account management procedures. 

The qualifications include:

I level:

• Graduation from high school or equivalent 

II level:

• Two semesters of college level coursework or two years of experience related to business or accounting

• One year of responsible experience equivalent to a Customer Service Technician I. 

Both levels:

• Possession of a valid California motor vehicle operator's class C license.

The salary range for the I level is $30.42 - $36.50 and for the II level $33.60 - $40.32, depending on qualifications. San Juan Water District Seeks an Electrical Instrumentation Technician

The Electrical Instrumentation Technician is part of the Operations team, performing specialized and technical duties associated with the troubleshooting, maintenance, installation and repair of electrical gear, breakers, electronic equipment, and instrumentation controls associated with surface water treatment plant, pump stations, distributions system facilities, wholesale meters, and medium voltage solar site component. 

Duties Include: 

• Performing corrective and preventative maintenance on electrical switchgear, breakers, transformers, process control systems, flowmeters, transmitters, gauges and other instrumentation and control equipment.
• Performing skilled duties related to the troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation, and testing of instrumentation, Programmable Logic Controller’s (PLC’s), telemetry, electrical and electronic components and instruments used in treatment plants, distribution systems and solar fields. 
• Recognizing, identifying and correcting problems with control and instrumentation equipment.
• Planning, installing and maintaining sophisticated electrical, instrumentation, and control systems; developing and using diagnostic problem solving techniques.
• Inspecting, adjusting, installing, calibrating, and repairing electrical and electronic equipment such as Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s), breakers, transformers, motors, transducers, motor control centers, switches, wiring, electronic circuits, meter transmitters, (Cl2) sensors, and related devices.
• Installing, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting control systems and water quality instruments, analyzers and electrical systems as they relate to water treatment, distribution, and solar systems.
• Working collaboratively with engineering to maintain and modify drawings of District’s Electrical Systems, PLC’s and SCADA systems.
• Assisting in new project design, inspection, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical 
• Systems, including but not limited to, submittals, RFIs, change orders, site layout and planning of specific drawings.

To be considered, candidates should be knowledgeable of principles and practices of electrical theory and electrical circuits, practices and techniques used in the design, installation, testing, calibration, maintenance and repair of radio telemetry, cellular communication, 4160V solar field, electrical and electronic equipment, instrumentation and controls as they relate to water treatment and distribution systems.

• Graduation from high school or equivalent with additional supplementary course work in electrical, electronics, instrumentation, control systems, or equivalent material pertaining to the field of electronics AND
• Three years of journey level experience in the design, construction, installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of electrical/electronic equipment, instrument systems, and control devices common to an industrial facility, water treatment plant, and distribution systems.

Provides information to housing developers regarding compliance with regulatory agreements for residential projects.   Negotiates complex agreements and policies related to affordable housing, effectively soliciting the input of developers, affordable housing advocates, and other stakeholders. Manage housing consultant contracts. Reviews proformas and financial assistance options. Evaluates requests for loans and grant financing and bond issuances for projects leading to funding recommendations. Coordinates and facilitates the development of affordable subsidized and inclusionary housing in the Spring Lake Specific Plan area, as well as infill sites throughout the City. DEFINITION To plan, coordinate, supervise and review the activities and operations of the Building Inspection division; to enforce the laws, codes and ordinances dealing with the construction of new buildings and the alteration and safety of existing buildings; coordinate and manager the Permit Center; personally perform the more complex project assignments; and to do related work as required.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS This is a single-position classification functioning as the Chief Building Official.  This position is responsible for the building inspection program for Glenn County, the Permit Center, and oversight for the construction of/on County owned buildings.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED Receives general direction from the Agency Director; exercises functional and technical supervision over assigned building inspection staff. 

SRFECC is preparing for a Dispatcher Academy, beginning February 2026! As a Dispatcher I, you will be a key player in the public safety network, managing both emergency and non-emergency calls. Your role involves receiving critical information, dispatching appropriate Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) resources, providing live-saving instructions, relaying facts, and ensuring effective communication throughout the incident. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals with no prior public safety dispatching experience. Advancement to Dispatcher II is expected within two years, and offers greater responsibility and higher pay.

This position requires the ability to work well under pressure, demonstrate exceptional communication skills, and think quickly during emergency situations. Shift work is required, and you must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
Dispatch Operations:

• Operate a Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) console with a multi-line telephone system, radio console, and office computer terminal.
• Answer incoming calls and gather necessary information to evaluate the nature and urgency of the situation, and triage the call appropriately.
• Following applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines, dispatch appropriate Fire and EMS units, ensuring a prompt and accurate response.
• Keep track of the location and status of fire apparatus, units, and investigators, updating as needed.

• Provide emergency medical self-help instructions to citizens while EMS units are en route.
