Pay: $17.97 - $23.31 Hourly

The Recreation Leader I-II oversees recreation activities in connection with a specific recreation services program or functional area in support of community, recreational, or park facilities, and performs related duties as assigned.

This is an open, competitive/ promotional recruitment, meaning that it is open to qualified permanent employees and any other applicants who meet the minimum qualifications. Two employment lists will be created for internal promotional and an open list of all other non-current EPA employees.  The department may hire at either the I or the II level, depending on the skills, certifications, and qualifications held by the pool of applicants. 

The department is seeking to fill one full-time and multiple part-time/ on-call positions throughout the year as needed.

Full-time workweek: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 40 hours per week.

Part-time workweek: Monday - Saturday, 6-30 hours per week. Depending on demand, not to exceed 936 annual hours.

The County of Yuba is recruiting for the position of Social Worker III/III Master’s Level in the Child and Adult Protective Services Division of the Health & Human Services Department in an effort to establish an eligibility list for future vacancies. Under general supervision, incumbents are fully competent to independently perform the most complex and sensitive social services case work by providing a variety of services to County residents; identify, access and document abuse and neglect cases; provide counseling and support services to children and parents; refer clients to services; prepare detailed, complex court documents and testify in court as required; and perform related work as assigned. The work may be related to a specific program area or to more general social service benefit provision. The Social Worker III and the Social Worker III – Master’s Level are the advanced journey-level classes in the general social work series.

Under direct supervision, the Police Academy Recruit attends a basic Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified training academy to obtain the basic skills and fitness level necessary for the performance of Police Officer duties.  This position requires a thorough background investigation, psychological assessment, and a medical exam prior to appointment. This is the non-sworn, entry-level classification in the Police Officer series. Incumbents in this classification receive training in a controlled classroom environment.  Advancement to the sworn Police Officer position is based on meeting minimum qualification standards and satisfactory performance in the academy.

Management (Budget) Analyst

Are you someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and making an impact behind the scenes?  The City of Belmont is looking for a Management (Budget) Analyst to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to make an impact through thoughtful budgeting, financial analysis, and cross-department support.

As a Management (Budget) Analyst, you'll work under the direction of a Finance Manager to help develop the City’s annual budget, support financial planning efforts, and keep key systems running smoothly. You’ll be hands-on with both day-to-day operations and longer-term projects that support Belmont’s financial health.

This position is classified as Management Analyst I or II, with the working title of Budget Analyst.
Placement will be made at either level depending on experience and department needs.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in preparing the annual operating budget and 5-year capital improvement plan

• Maintain the City’s budget system and provide end-user support and training

• Analyze trends in revenues and expenditures, and prepare financial reports and presentations

• Coordinate budget transfers and amendments

• Manage chart of accounts alignment and process documentation

• Support payroll processes, audits, and financial system upgrades

• Research local, state, and federal regulations for financial impacts

• Collaborate with other departments and outside agencies to gather and share financial data

• Contribute to cost allocation models, internal service fund rates, and related analysis

• Take on special projects and assist in the general administration of the Finance Department

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience in budgeting, accounting, or finance

Reporting directly to the City Manager, this position is responsible for executive direction, strategic leadership, and management of the Public Works Department, including City maintenance workers and capital improvement projects. 

As the principal administrator of the Public Works Department, the Director; plans, organizes, directs, reviews and manages all department activities and functions including Engineering, Parks and Recreation, Streets, Public Facilities, Wastewater Treatment/Sewage, and Storm Water Management.

The Director also coordinates departmental activities with other City departments, outside agencies, community groups and individuals; and provides highly complex professional advice and support to the City Manager and City Council; assures department compliance with and enforcement of applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and codes; manages and supervises staff; serves as a member of the City’s Executive Team.

REQUIREMENTS

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.  A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Education and Certification

Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar major.

Licenses: Possess valid California Class C Driver’s License.

Experience

Incumbents must have a minimum of three (3) years of managerial experience directly involving municipal services such as public works, public utilities, capital improvement project management, parks maintenance and management, and/or street and facilities maintenance.

• IT Super User – 5% of base salary
