The mission of the Maintenance Operations Department is to enhance the community by providing high quality maintenance services through the maintenance of safe and effective transportation systems and public infrastructure that support a desirable quality of life for residents, businesses, and visitors, and to support the City organization with efficient and effective services for City buildings and fleet vehicles.

The Positions
The Building Maintenance Division of the Maintenance Operations Department is seeking experienced Building Maintenance Workers to provide HVAC maintenance support for all public facilities, such as City Hall, Historic Buildings, Fire Stations, Police Department, Recreation facilities, and Rental Housing. Building Maintenance Workers (HVAC) design, fabricate, inspect, install, troubleshoot and evaluate problems with HVAC equipment.  They also repair heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and related apparatus. Additionally, they install, repair and/or replace controls for energy management system as well as perform preventive maintenance and sheet metal work, including design and fabrication.

The Building Maintenance Division of the Maintenance Operations Department is also seeking experienced Building Maintenance Workers to provide general maintenance support for all public facilities, such as City Hall, Historic Buildings, Fire Stations, Police Department, Recreation facilities, and Rental Housing. Maintenance tasks for the general assignment typically include painting, electrical repairs, wall repair, roof repair, carpentry/metal work, and floor repair.

The Coordinator is responsible for providing the highest quality of guest service to all visitors. The Coordinator will be responsible for administrative duties and assist at various City facilities, as assigned. In addition, the Coordinator will monitor facility rentals and support the special events. This is potentially a year around part time position.

The Guest Service Team Member is responsible for providing the highest quality of guest service to all guests. The Guest Service Team Member is expected to work weekends and holidays on a regular basis.

Desirable Experience: Experience in high level complex, high volume recruitments, and compensation analysis. AC Transit is seeking a Finance Systems Project Manager. Under general direction serves as the project manager leading a variety of complex, finance systems-related projects. This position works with department end-users, Innovation and Technology (IT) staff, consultants and, vendors to translate business and operational requirements into workable finance system solutions. Incumbents in this position provide training and technical assistance in the use of the system software.

This classification is distinguished from other finance classifications by the assigned project management responsibilities leading District-wide, finance systems-related projects and studies of considerable size and complexity. The Finance Systems Project Manager position requires accounting support experience utilizing and supporting financial systems and/or two (2) years that involved responsibilities at a level equivalent to the District's classification of Project Manager II. Years of experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a two for one basis (two years experience may be submitted for one year of education).

The Shallow Water Lifeguard is responsible for the supervision of on-site recreation activities at the Aqua Adventure Waterpark and safe operations of all rides (in water 4 ft or less). Role description

Under general supervision, assists in analyzing, planning, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting and enhancing large complex systems or networks consisting of a combination that may include mainframes, mini-computers, personal computers, mobile devices, LANS, WANs, servers, data storage and the physical and logical components that integrate these systems together as an enterprise networking backbone. 

The 1042 Security Engineer is the journey level position in the Engineer series. The class is distinguished from the Senior level by the complexity of the tasks, projects or duties assigned, and is more independent than the Assistant level. This classification performs a wide range of complex analytical, design, planning, implementation, enhancement and problem resolution tasks on large complex systems and networks. Works within a framework of established procedures and interprets policies, procedures and guidelines. This level may formulate recommendations consistent with directives, policies, standards and regulations. Incumbents require only occasional instruction or assistance. Work is reviewed upon completion and for overall results. Serves as a technical architect and systems integrator for large complex systems or networks, with a focus on securing vulnerabilities and reducing risk of system and/or asset compromises.

Essential Duties:
 

1. Determine requirements for the development environment and / or enhancement for large complex systems that serve HSA’s programs. May research and conduct feasibility studies on new technologies.
2. Design, plan, integrate, test, implement, document and enhance large complex systems. This may involve the analysis, coding (.NET C#, Cold Fusion), web application design, database design, and evaluation of systems software, hardware and communications strategies.
3. Perform systems integration for interoperability over dissimilar platforms and technologies. This may involve the integration of various protocols and systems software.
4. Determine the proper installation parameters for software for smooth integration and efficiency in relation to the enterprise system and network.
5. Write code to customize large systems software which may involve specialized programming languages.
6. Read and understand requirements documentation and other documentation in order to write code to implement the required features for application systems.
7. Analyze, detect, identify and correct complex systems software or hardware deficiencies. Analyze, research and debug program logic and systems; modify program logic; analyze service requests for system changes or new requirements to determine the most effective approach and the appropriate staff time required to achieve the needed modification.
8. Provide emergency technical support for application issues to ensure system availability and data integrity. May provide on-call support to ensure rapid recovery from software or hardware problems for mission-critical systems and networks.
9. Act as the liaison between vendors, technical support hot-lines and departments to resolve complex systems. Coordinate and implement corrective measures; this may involve site visits, telephone assistance, remote systems and participation in technical committees.
10. Facilitate the demonstration and training of staff in the use of new hardware or software products.
11. Document procedures and troubleshooting techniques related to systems software and hardware; develop technical documentation and review documentation prior to general distribution.
12. Plan, develop and implement backup and recovery procedures for large systems.
13. Communicate with managers regarding system performance and operational issues. Suggest improvements to management.
14. Research and test new software technologies; report results; recommend software purchases. Learn and implement the new technologies that are brought in. Coordinate and work with vendors when needed. 
15. Attend meetings, workshops, and demonstrations; perform duties and responsibilities as assigned.
