The Fremont Police Department - Animal Services Division is recruiting for the position of Veterinarian.

• Performs high volume, high quality spay/neuter surgeries of shelter animals and owned animals including dogs, cats, and rabbits
• Determines the need for diagnostic procedures and medical treatments
• Provides high quality shelter medicine by performing physical exams, treatments, and surgical procedures on shelter animals
• Monitors and evaluates the shelter population for behavioral conditions
• Administers injections to humanely euthanize animals in accordance with California State Law and Department guidelines and policies

About the Position

This temporary position will work directly with the Recreation Supervisor-Special Events, assisting with the coordination, management, and implementation of special events operated by the City of San Carlos. This position will work evenings and weekends as needed from May – September 2026.

Essential Duties

• Assist with logistical elements of each event during the event-planning process, be onsite as needed during events for set-up, tear-down, problem-solving, and post-event tasks
• Perform administrative tasks including purchase inquiries and scheduling
• Staff and maintain the City Information Booth as required at each event
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, contractors and entertainment
• Be available for event meetings as required

The Department: 

Silicon Valley Power, Asset Management Group has an excellent opportunity for the position of Engineering Technician (Electric). Job responsibilities include, prepares scaled and dimensioned plans based on sketches prepared by engineering and/or estimating personnel, maintains records of as-builts and updates existing SVP maps and records utilizing ESRI-based GIS applications, maintains master map files, including such records of block maps, street light maps, fiber communication, electric utility single line and operating diagrams and other maps, performs computing and drafting operations in AutoCAD, involved in checking drawings of electric utility facilities, perform other duties as assigned.

The Position: 

The Engineering Technician (Electric) is an entry-level classification in the paraprofessional Engineering Technician series. An incumbent in this classification performs routine technical office and field work in support of various engineering projects in the Electric Utility Department. Acceptable Substitution: 

Post-secondary education equivalent to thirty (30) semester units or forty-five (45) quarter units including satisfactory completion of courses in mathematics, engineering, CAD, GIS, or related subjects may be substituted for the experience requirement.

License/Certifications: 

Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license is required at the time of appointment and for the duration of employment.

Desirable Qualifications: 

Computer-aided drafting (CAD) AND geographic information systems (GIS) experience
Completion of post-secondary coursework in GIS and CAD.

$5,000 Signing Bonus

Position Duties

The salary range for the Senior Power Resources Specialist Classification is:
$147,005.04 - $180,070.80 Annually
This salary range includes an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation. Actual salary shall be determined by the final candidates’ qualifications and experience.

The Energy Department is seeking to fill one (1) full-time Senior Regulatory Compliance & Policy Manager (Senior Power Resources Specialist) position for the Regulatory Compliance & Policy Division. This position reports directly to the Deputy Director of the Regulatory Compliance & Policy Division and will provide technical analysis, assess the potential business impacts to SJCE from proposed regulatory changes, and provide expert public representation.

Under general direction of the Deputy Director, the Senior Regulatory Compliance & Policy Manager will be responsible for engaging in the increasing number of complex electric regulatory proceedings and effectively advocating for the business interests of SJCE at the  California Public Utilities Commission (“CPUC”), the California Energy Commission (CEC), and California Independent System Operator (“CAISO”) to protect and advance San José business and community interests. Typical duties of this position may include, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring and advising internal staff about the progress of regulatory policy and rate-related proceedings
• Performing independent analysis of the possible operational impacts of rate cases and regulatory proceedings
• Representing SJCE before regulatory bodies and on external working groups
• Keeping abreast of key regulatory issues affecting CCAs, and assisting in prioritizing proceedings
• Developing formal written comments to regulatory agencies and advising on advocacy strategy
• Working with other internal teams to share and learn relevant information
• Other duties as assigned     

Minimum Qualifications

Education 
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Law, Natural Resources, Statistics, or related field to utility business.

Experience

Three (3) years of experience in energy resources operations, planning, purchasing, scheduling, or contract negotiations.

The City of Menlo Park is hiring Recreation Specialists to support City-operated Summer Camp programs serving children ages 4.5 through 13 years old for programs running June 15th through August 14th, 2026.

Under general supervision, Recreation Specialists provide direct supervision of participants and assist with age-appropriate recreational, enrichment, and physical activities in compliance with California Community Care Licensing (Title 22) requirements and City policies. Background
The Contra Costa County Library Commission was established by the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors in March, 1991. The Commission was created:

1. To serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors and the County Librarian.
2. To provide a community linkage to the County Librarian.
3. To establish a forum for the community to express its views regarding the goals and operations of the County Library.
4. To assist the Board of Supervisors and the County Librarian to provide library services based on assessed public need.
5. To develop and recommend proposals to the Board of Supervisors and County Librarian for the betterment of the County Library including, but not limited to, such efforts as insuring a stable and adequate funding level for the libraries in the County.

The Library Commission is composed of 29 members:

• 18 members representing the cities/towns in Contra Costa County (and appointed by the City/Town Councils)
• 5 members representing Contra Costa County, each member of the Board of Supervisors appointing one commissioner
