Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Test, implement, and maintain highly complex configurations/gear for core network switches, routers, firewalls, PaaS, and monitoring devices.

• Perform research into new highly complex technologies to increase the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness including POCs of these technologies.
• Support in the administration, maintenance, and day-to-day management of the SIEM platform to support effective threat detection, log analysis, and incident response efforts.
• Act as project manager and technical lead for in the design, development, and maintenance of the most complex Valley Water applications.
• Confer with end user and define application requirements; recommend and develop solutions; conduct cost/benefit analyses; prepare justification for new or enhanced modifications; ensure that recommendations comply with Valley Water standards and conventions; Research and evaluate systems for technical fit and fit for purpose and fit for use for the business.
• Develop written technical documentation, internal operating procedures, and user manuals and instructions; develop instructional materials and conduct training programs on new or enhanced applications; update technical and training manuals as required.
• Serve as a technical resource for maintaining, enhancing, and upgrading the department’s current and long-term computer system operations.

Infrastructure Services Unit (Position Code 27) 

Valley Water Telework Program: Eligibility for telework will depend on the type of work performed, operational needs, and the ability for the employee to perform the essential functions of their job duties while teleworking. INTERNSHIP LOCATION STATUS:
This internship position will require the selected candidate to report on-site 100% of the time, adhering to strict safety protocols. Interns will be placed at one of three locations, the Silicon Valley Advanced Water Purification Center, the Rinconada Water Treatment Plant, or the Santa Teresa Water Treatment Plant.

 

Required License or Certificate WE LOOK FOR INTERNS WHO:

• Currently enrolled in or completed an Engineering, Science, or Water Related Program in the last six (6) months.
• Pursuing state certification to be an operator at a Drinking Water Treatment Facility or an Advanced Water Treatment Facility. (PLEASE NOTE: high school graduates are automatically qualified to take the entry level Grade T1 state exam and obtain their certification right away)

• 5 am start, shift pass down.

The City of Dixon is looking to fill one full-time, regular position of Accountant in the Finance Department. This position performs professional level accounting functions such as recording and reporting financial transactions, review of financial records; provides fiscal control for assigned areas of operation, preparation of financial report statements and analyzes. This is not a remote position and work schedule will be Monday through Friday, onsite.

Accountant - This classification is the entry level, mid-management position in the accounting series. SRFECC is preparing for a Dispatcher Academy, beginning September 2025! As a Dispatcher I, you will be a key player in the public safety network, managing both emergency and non-emergency calls. Your role involves receiving critical information, dispatching appropriate Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) resources, providing live-saving instructions, relaying facts, and ensuring effective communication throughout the incident. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals with no prior public safety dispatching experience. Advancement to Dispatcher II is expected within two years, and offers greater responsibility and higher pay.

This position requires the ability to work well under pressure, demonstrate exceptional communication skills, and think quickly during emergency situations. Shift work is required, and you must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays.
