The Public Works Department is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Street Maintenance Worker I/II for the Street division. Depending on the candidate's qualifications, the vacancy will be filled at either Street Maintenance Worker Level 1 or Level 2. Primary responsibilities:

• Breaks and removes concrete using a hydraulic breaker and handwork
• Repair or replace cracked, raised, sunken, or otherwise damaged sidewalks, curbs, and gutters
• Perform skilled and semi-skilled work in the construction, maintenance, repair, and cleaning of streets, curbs, gutters, storm drains, and related structures
• Perform heavy manual labor in the removal, repair, and finish of concrete and asphalt work
• Operate and maintain a variety of maintenance and construction equipment, including hand and power tools, and light, medium, and heavy motorized equipment
• Conduct traffic control when working in traffic areas of the City; install street barricades and cones; direct and control traffic around work sites

The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Accounting/Customer Service Representative to join the Public Services Division within the Finance Department. This role will serve as a key liaison between the community and the City's revenue operations, managing a high volume of payments and customer inquiries, supporting diverse revenue programs, and adapting to evolving priorities. Primary Responsibilities

• Utility Billing & Collections: Prepare and adjust water and wastewater bills, resolve customer inquiries, and set up payment arrangements to maintain uninterrupted service. When accounts become delinquent, coordinate lien filings and work with customers and field crews to clear balances and restore service.
• Business Tax: Oversee the full life cycle of business license applications and renewals, from initial customer service to intake and fee collection, to compliance verification, and final issuance. Coordinate with Planning, Building, Code Enforcement, and Thousand Oaks Police Department to resolve discrepancies, update records, and provide guidance on licensing requirements.
• Payment Processing & Cashiering: Process payments for all revenue programs, both at the front counter and within a centralized unit, and reconcile daily cash receipts. Balance cash drawers, prepare bank deposits, and validate transactions against the general ledger.

• Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with field technicians, IT, Thousand Oaks Police Department, and other departments to resolve billing and payment issues, identify process improvements, and share best practices. Cross-train on multiple revenue streams to enhance team agility and service coverage.
• Administrative Support: Administer specialized billing programs, including parking citations for false alarm, from initiation through resolution, ensuring accuracy, analytics, and compliance.

THE POSITION

Under close and general supervision, the Public Safety Dispatcher performs a variety of duties involved in receiving, evaluating, prioritizing, and relaying calls for emergency and non-emergency public safety assistance; dispatches appropriate units and coordinates response of emergency personnel; operates a variety of telecommunications equipment including radio, telephone, and computer aided dispatch systems; performs a wide variety of specialized duties involved in emergency communications; and performs related duties as assigned.

The City of Dixon is recruiting Senior Lifeguard/ Swim Instructor applicants for the 2025 Aquatic Season.

The Senior Lifeguard/Swim Instructor performs a variety of duties to ensure the City of Dixon swimming pool is a safe and enjoyable aquatic facility. Supervises pool patrons, enforces pool rules, performs first aid and emergency rescues, instructs swim lessons, performs cashiering duties, leads recreational activities; performs related and other work as required.

Staff may be expected to work weekends and on fixed holidays. Those who work on a City Holiday will earn 1 ½ times their base hourly salary.

THE POSITION
To perform a variety of tasks in the maintenance of City-owned buildings, equipment and facilities.

The purpose of this recruitment is to hire a Temporary / Part-Time position. Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications for the Facility Maintenance Worker I position may be considered for employment as an Intern. Temporary / Part-Time employees work no more than 130 hours per month AND 960 hours per fiscal year. Typical work schedule will be three 8-hour shifts per week, excluding weekends and evenings.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
This position will perform semi-skilled tasks in a variety of light construction and maintenance activities. The Ideal Candidate will be customer-friendly and be a solutions-oriented professional who is flexible in dealing with shifting priorities, have good time management skills, and possess the ability to work effectively in the absence of supervision.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintain and repair City buildings, equipment and facilities by performing a variety of semiskilled carpentry, plumbing,  painting, heating/air conditioning, mechanical repair and electrical work as necessary. Inspect City buildings to locate conditions indicating the need for repairs and maintenance; assist in establishing and implementing preventative maintenance programs. Operate and maintain a variety of heavy tools and equipment, including small power and hand tools. Work cooperatively with others. Regular and consistent attendance.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Remodel and repair a variety of building components such as counters, tables, desks, bookshelves, cabinets, partitions, walls, windows and doors; boilers, water pumps, exhaust fans, compressors, and other water and sewage system plumbing as required. Perform electrical work such as wiring and rewiring; replace switches, ballast and receptacles as required. Prepare simple activity and related reports; maintain inventory and work records as required. Requisition supplies and materials. Perform general janitorial duties as needed.
