Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit is a new passenger rail system that operates between Marin and Sonoma Counties in the Northern San Francisco Bay Area. A 43-mile, 10 station system was opened in August 2017. SMART is currently constructing a 2.1-mile extension from downtown San Rafael to Larkspur. The Junior Engineer would work on this project and be exposed to many aspects of implementing a large infrastructure project that is in the construction phase.
