SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

• Perform a wide range of administrative, operational, and technical tasks supporting planning programs and functions.
• Process, review, and evaluate plans, required planning documents and construction plans for completeness, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
• Administer zoning, land use, subdivision, and environmental regulations; provide recommendations on project issues, and assist applicants to ensure all requirements are met within established time frames.
• Interact with the public, and internal and external stakeholders;  serve as liaison to City staff, applicants, developers, consultants, and external organizations and agencies regarding City codes, policies, processes, and requirements.
• Conduct site visits; investigate zoning issues and complaints; advise property owners, developers, and the public on relevant City ordinances and regulations.
• Prepare reports and make public presentations to the Planning Commission, City Council, and other public groups.
• Conduct specialized planning studies, research, and analysis for current and long-range planning issues, including environmental evaluations and General Plan updates.
• Develop ordinances, resolutions, and regulations related to planning matters.
• Oversee and coordinate the current planning process including project scheduling for Historic Design Review Committee and Planning Commission, and project review with other staff.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date planning records and data.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

We're seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable professional to make an immediate impact. Your time will be split equally between the two departments, with a primary focus on payroll processing. • Handle inquiries, provide information, offer technical information and guidance on procedures, rules and regulations to internal and external customers.
• Provide administrative support to department management and staff, including research, processing, and preparing reports, correspondence, and written materials.

Finance Duties:

• Participate in core finance processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, license and permit fee collection, and general financial transaction processing.
• Process and record financial transactions related to payroll and benefits, prepare related tax forms (e.g. 1099 and W2), and fee/levy data for tax rolls.
• Assist with budget preparation and monitoring, financial reporting, external auditor inquiries, and the review/approval of purchase requisitions.
• Participate in the implementation and adherence to Government Accounting Standards Board requirements and statements.
• Maintain financial and accounting records and data within systems, reconcile accounts, identify and resolve discrepancies, and prepare related reports.

Human Resources Duties:

• Participate in various functions supporting payroll, recruitment, benefits administration, leaves and other human resources functions.
• Participate in processing payroll including changes to wages, positions, benefits, leaves of absence, and related.
• Assist with benefits administration including processing forms, enrollments and changes, assisting employees, and responding to vendor inquiries.
• Intake and assist with worker’s compensation and insurance claim documentation.
• Apply personnel rules, MOUs, and relevant regulations to HR and payroll tasks, and assist with ensuring compliance, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel and management information.

Position Duties

The Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services Department is currently seeking to fill 2 full-time Maintenance Worker I vacancies in the Parks Division.

The salary range for this classification is: $68,473.60 - $83,304.00

Actual salary shall be determined by the final candidates’ qualifications and experience.

This is the journey-level class in the Maintenance Worker classification series responsible for performing the full range of semi-skilled tasks for assigned maintenance operations and programs. Incumbents are expected to work independently and exercise judgment and initiative. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit. This class is distinguished from the Maintenance Worker II in that the latter class performs the more complex work assigned to the series.

 

Some assignments require candidates to be willing and able to work weekends, holidays and/or other shifts as needed.

Duties of the Maintenance Worker I position include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining park grounds which may include, but is not limited to: irrigation, cultivation, pruning, planting, and transplanting a variety of turf, shrubs, trees, and plants. 

• Operating mowing equipment in parks and athletic fields and operating triplex gang/rotary mowers, power edgers, tractors, rototillers, sprayers, dump and other trucks, power chain saws and other light power equipment and hand tools used in grounds and maintenance work.

• Maintaining and making minor repairs to playgrounds, picnic areas, athletic fields and sport courts, park trails, and firebreaks as well as make minor repairs and adjustments to irrigation systems, mowers, and miscellaneous equipment. 

• Performing clean-up and litter pick-up functions, cleaning pools and fountains, scheduling automatic irrigation controllers, maintaining work-related records, and preparing corresponding reports. 

• Explaining programs and policies to the public, providing lead guidance to less experienced workers, assisting in firefighting and rescue duties in wilderness park areas, and may be responsible for vehicle and pedestrian traffic safety in work areas.

Required License or Certificate WE LOOK FOR INTERNS WHO:

The City of Dixon is looking to fill one full-time, regular position of Accountant in the Finance Department. This position performs professional level accounting functions such as recording and reporting financial transactions, review of financial records; provides fiscal control for assigned areas of operation, preparation of financial report statements and analyzes. This is not a remote position and work schedule will be Monday through Friday, onsite.

Accountant - This classification is the entry level, mid-management position in the accounting series. Professional level work is performed, and incumbents are expected to perform the full range of accounting duties with minimal supervision. General

 

The Engineering Manager will report to the Director, Bus Infrastructure and Capital Projects and will be responsible for the engineering functions of the infrastructure and capital project development department for the San Mateo County Transit District (SamTrans). 

 

The Bus Infrastructure and Capital Projects Department oversees the delivery of major bus fleet and facilities infrastructure projects for SamTrans. The department’s projects include design and construction of zero emission infrastructure (battery electric bus (BEB) charging infrastructure and hydrogen fuel cell electric bus (FCEB) infrastructure) for SamTrans's revenue and non­revenue fleet of nearly 400 vehicles, sea level rise and flood mitigation structures, bus administration, transportation, and maintenance buildings, and other structures at SamTrans' North Base and South Base Maintenance Facilities.

• Oversee the development of standard plans and specifications that can be used for future SamTrans infrastructure projects.

• Manage consultants with technical expertise across multiple disciplines in conducting independent technical reviews of SamTrans’ infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate and collaborate closely with SamTrans project stakeholders.
• Provide documents and briefs to Executive Management and the Board on the status, progress, and requirements of SamTrans infrastructure projects.
• Manage coordination, communications and expectations with project stakeholders, and internal cross-functional teams responsible for different aspects of planning, design, and engineering
• Provide direction and guidance to consultant staff responsible for managing infrastructure projects.
• Provide support for federal and state grant applications for funding of SamTrans infrastructure projects.
• Support development of contract solicitations.
• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve project issues.
• Identify root cause of issues. Determine and present appropriate solutions.
• Review cost estimates, monitor project schedules and budgets, and monitor work in progress.
• Coordinate the provision of capital project development and implementation services with other departments and divisions.

Supervision: Works under the general supervision of the Director, Infrastructure who establishes goals and objectives and evaluates performance.   

 

The Emergency Dispatcher I/II position in the Sheriff’s Department performs a variety of difficult work in the provision of 24-hour-per-day, seven-days-per-week public safety emergency dispatch service, including all 911 communications. Emergency Dispatcher I is the entry level class in the Emergency Dispatcher series.  It differs from Emergency Dispatcher II in that the II level is fully trained as a dispatcher and may provide training for the Dispatcher I. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Receives incoming calls from the public; determines type of assistance required, including law enforcement, fire or ambulance personnel, etc., and dispatches emergency and non-emergency radio and telephone communications to appropriate jurisdictions and agencies.
• Operates a law enforcement 911 communications network.
• Maintains radio communications with field personnel as necessary to relay messages and information, and to determine the location and safety of field personnel.
• Performs a variety of clerical duties as required, including but not limited to answering business telephones; processing and/or maintaining department records, including case files; compiling information and statistics for reports; preparing criminal history reports; entering/cancelling/retrieving data on computer; ordering supplies, copying and filing documents, etc.

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Social Worker Supervisor III in the Child and Adult Protective Services division of the Health and Human Services Department. Under general supervision this position plans, assigns, supervises, trains, reviews and evaluates the work of Social Workers assigned to adult and child protective services; oversees and performs social services case work of a complex and difficult nature in providing a variety of social services to County residents; performs case work of varying scope and complexity and may provide program leadership and consultative services; responsible for program planning and implementation as well as performance of the most complex work and the full range of work supervised on a relief or overflow basis and performs other duties as assigned. This position is the specialized supervisory professional level in the social worker series and reports directly to a Health and Human Services Program Manager.

Examples of Duties:

• Plan, organize, assign, supervise, review and evaluate the work of various levels of professional social work staff in the area of adult and child protective services.
• Provide direction and coaching, through regular feedback sessions; create individual development plans with employees, discuss job performance problems to identify causes and issues, and work on resolving problems; and offer advice and assistance as needed.
• Recommend and administer discipline and implement discipline procedures as needed/directed.
• Recommend selection of staff; provide or coordinate staff training and provide for their professional development.
• Interpret regulations and rules to staff; provide for consistency of staff interpretation and application of such rules and regulations.
• Provide technical assistance to staff regarding difficult case problems.
• Prepare and modifies procedures related to assigned activities; inform staff of such changes.
• Perform the full range of professional work, often in difficult or complex circumstances.
• Interview and counsel a diverse population referred for services; handle the most complex and sensitive child welfare services cases.
