What you will do: 
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

Performs specialized and detailed work in the review and processing of various financial records and related materials; ensures the integrity of data and information related to area of assignment which may include cash management, payroll, accounts payable/receivable and consolidated billing.

Analyzes and reconciles a variety of journals, accounts, reports and records; to prepare, process, and maintains accounting system records, and transactions.

Prepares journal entries and general ledger reconciliations and performs month and year-end closing of accounting records; assists with City-wide budget development and monitoring.

Balances financial information system controls; balances and posts financial transactions to ledgers and sub-ledgers and reconciles to the accounting system; and balances various other financial transactions with source documents and controls.

Processes and prepares payrolls; responds to staff regarding payroll related questions; updates employee information in payroll systems.

Maintains subsidiary records of fixed assets and depreciation, and tags all fixed assets.

Assists in the preparation of schedules as required for audits and special requests.

Prepares, compiles, tabulates and maintains data and complex documents; assists with preparing technical financial, statistical and operational reports, statements and records.

Responds to inquiries from the public in person, by telephone, and/or in writing, regarding areas of responsibility and initiates appropriate action to resolve problems.

Researches and answers inquiries from employees and other City departments regarding the status of accounts and payments, including proper transaction coding and related matters.

Builds and maintains positive working relationships with co-workers, other City employees and the public using principles of good customer service.

Assists in daily operations providing general clerical support as needed.

Performs related work as necessary.

Education: Equivalent to an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance or a related field.

The City of Dixon is recruiting to fill a full-time position of a Maintenance Worker I/II in the Public Works Streets Division and to establish an Eligibility List for future use. 

Essential Job Functions When Assigned to Streets: Performs semi-skilled and skilled repair and maintenance tasks involving traffic painting, traffic sign installation and maintenance and the installation of reflectors; performs minor street asphalting, patching and sealing; performs cement work on sidewalks, curbs and gutters; performs weed spraying, tree and bush trimming; performs graffiti removal. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT AND POSITION

The police department is divided into three divisions: Field Operations (Patrol, K-9, Community Services Offices, Graffiti Abatement, Animal Control), Special Operations (Investigations, Traffic, Anti-Crime Team, Regional Task Forces), and Administration (Records, Property & Evidence, Communications (Police and Fire 911 Services), Budget) each managed by a Police Captain.

The Police Records Technician I (PRT) plays a critical role in supporting the administrative functions of the department. PRTs are essential team members who help ensure accurate documentation, record management and information flow that support frontline operations, and public safety efforts. POSITION

To attend a Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T), a certified basic academy. After successful completion of the P.O.S.T. academy, guaranteed promotion to Police Officer where they will perform law enforcement and crime prevention work and do related work as required.  The purpose of this recruitment is to fill current vacancies and establish an eligibility list for future vacancies.

ABOUT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Woodland Police Department is staffed with 72 sworn officers and 22 support employees. It, too, is expected to expand in size as the City grows. The Department is managed by a Chief of Police, a Deputy Chief, four Lieutenants, ten Sergeants, and a Police Records Supervisor. The Department has three Bureaus: Patrol, Investigations, and Community Relations. Police Officers are assigned to all Bureaus where they work in various capacities and teams.   Within the Bureaus are many specialty units including K-9, Motors, School Resource Officers, Gang Task Force, Narcotics Agents, Detectives, and a Homeless Outreach Street Team.  There are a number of collateral duties available to officers including SWAT, Crisis Negotiations Team, Field Training Officer, Honor Guard, Arrest & Control Instructors, Firearms Instructors, Gang Resistance Education and Training (G.R.E.A.T) instructors, Social Media Team, and Bicycle Team. ABOUT THE CITY

Woodland is a city of approximately 60,000 residents. Incorporated in 1871, Woodland is conveniently located on I-5 just 12 miles northwest of Sacramento and 9 miles north of U.C. Davis. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

As a Police Officer Recruit, the Recruit will attend a Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T), a certified basic academy during regular academy hours, and any other scheduled departmental and academy exercise activities.  Successful completion of the academy is required to continue employment and be promoted to Police Officer.  General Supervision will be provided by supervisory Police Department personnel, both sworn and civilian, and P.O.S.T. Academy staff.  No direct supervision of staff is exercised. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  Equivalent to graduation from an accredited U.S. high school; passing score on the General Education Development (GED) test; or possession of a two-year, four-year, or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.

License or Certificate:  Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Environment:  The candidate will train in a high-stress police-training academy; indoor classrooms and outdoor physical agility course; exposed to noise, smoke, and inclement

Physical:  Physical health, strength, stature, and agility to meet the physical demands of police work as determined by an agility test and a pre-employment physical exam.

Vision:  See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for the Police Officer Recruit position must pass the POST Entry-Level Law Enforcement Test Battery (PELLETB) with a minimum T-Score of 45 and must pass all components of the Physical Agility Test-Work Sample Test Battery (WSTB) with a minimum score of 320.

• If taken within the past 12 months, applicants may submit evidence of a P.O.S.T. Certified PELLETB test score with a score equal to or greater than a T-45 with the application to be considered for this recruitment.
• Woodland Police Department will accept previously received Physical Agility Test-Work Sample Test Battery (WSTB) scores if it is in an official format and less than 6 months old. 

Test Details:

1) Written Test - POST Entry-Level Law Enforcement Test Battery (PELLETB) - This test must be completed in less than 2.5 hours, and it must be passed with a minimum T-Score of 45.  The areas covered by the test include:

• Spelling - Select the correct spelling of a word from a list of options
• Vocabulary - Select the correct meaning of a word from a list of options
• Clarity - Select the sentence that is most clearly written from a pair of options
• Reading - Read a passage and answer questions about the passage's content
• CLOZE - Use contextual clues to complete a passage that contains missing words

2) Physical Agility Test - Work Sample Test Battery (WSTB) - This test consists of five individually timed and weighted events, and the minimum passing score is 320 (Important – POST Academies may require a higher standard). The events include:

• 99-yard obstacle course with sharp turns and up to 34-inch high obstacles
• 165-pound body drag for 32 feet
• 6-foot chain link fence climb
• 6-foot solid wall climb
• 500-yard run

Test Date:

Woodland Police Department will offer the WSTB tests on an ongoing basis. Candidates will be notified of test dates and times once they have applied.

Eligible List Placement: 

Applicants for this position must take and pass the Physical Agility - Work Sample Test Battery (pass/fail), and the POST Entry-level Law Enforcement Test Battery (PELLETB) with a minimum T-score of 45 (weight: 100%).  Those applicants who pass both the PELLETB and Physical Agility test (WSTB) will be invited to participate in a panel interview.  Applicants who successfully pass the panel interview will be placed on an eligibility list and may be selected to participate in a final interview with the Chief of Police.

The Position:

Silicon Valley Power (SVP), the City of Santa Clara’s Electric Utility, is seeking two (2) skilled and customer-focused Information Technology Systems Specialists to support the utility’s end-user computing environment.

This position is part of SVP’s Systems Support Group (SSG) — the technology backbone of the utility — which provides reliable, high-quality technical support and systems management for SVP’s staff and operations. As a growing division, SSG supports a broad range of technology projects and modernization initiatives, including those driven by the unprecedented growth in the utility’s service area.

The Information Technology Systems Specialist plays a key role in help desk and deskside support operations, providing timely and effective technical assistance to end users. Core responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues; performing system deployments, imaging, and upgrades; managing user accounts and access; and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation. Additional duties include helpdesk management, application packaging, patch management, group policy administration, software installation and licensing, VOIP and telephony support, VPN/RDP connectivity, and ensuring the overall reliability and security of end-user devices and systems.

The ideal candidates will demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This position also participates in an on-call and after-hours support rotation, providing critical technical support and ensuring the availability of key systems during emergencies or planned maintenance activities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Additional qualifying experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education, up to a maximum of four (4) years.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience working with municipal utilities or in a telecommunications environment;
• Possession of advanced computing, computer technician, and/or cybersecurity certificates, such as A+, Security +, etc.);
• Experience with Operating Systems (such as Windows, Apple OSX, and iOS, Linux, etc.) and Microsoft 365 or other cloud-based platform; and
• Experience with virtualization software (such as VMWare and Hyper-V).

When assigned to the Electric Utility Operations Division, in addition to the above:
• Experience with Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), microprocessor-based relays, and the Distributed Network Protocol (DNP); and
• Experience using Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• May be required to work unusual hours and weekends in the performance of their duties and be available on an "on call" basis.
• Incumbents will be required to pass initial and periodic comprehensive background checks, which may include fingerprinting, to meet Federal, State and/or industry security requirements.

About the Department

The Public Works and Engineering Department is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the City’s infrastructure, including streets, storm drains, public facilities, and capital projects. It also manages engineering review for private development, traffic safety programs, and environmental compliance.

The Management Analyst will play a key role in helping the department deliver efficient, high-quality services through strong project coordination, data-driven analysis, and effective communication with residents, consultants, and other agencies.

Typical Duties

Under direction of the Public Works Director or designee, the Management Analyst performs a variety of professional-level administrative, analytical, and technical duties, including:

• Prepares RFPs and coordinates consultant selection; administers consultant and construction contracts, including bidding, invoicing, and compliance tracking.

• Conducts research, analysis, and prepares reports on departmental projects, programs, and compliance activities such as the Clean Water/NPDES Program.

• Supports geographic data analysis and mapping using GIS to track infrastructure assets, stormwater facilities, and project locations.

• Assists with operating and capital improvement budgets, including analysis of revenues, expenditures, and performance measures.

• Coordinates and supports Capital Improvement Projects (CIPs) through planning, design, and construction phases.

• Manages grant applications, tracking, and reporting; assists in identifying and securing funding opportunities.

• Provides information to the public and represents the department in meetings; responds to inquiries and complaints regarding City projects and programs.

• Researches records, maps, and other sources to obtain engineering data and respond to Public Records Act requests.

• Prepares staff reports, correspondence, and presentations for the City Council, commissions, and committees.

• Assists in the development and implementation of departmental procedures and policies.

Education and Experience

Education:

Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public administration, business administration, civil engineering, environmental studies, or a related field.  A master's degree is desirable.

Experience:

• Management Analyst I:  Some professional-level administrative, analytical, or budgetary experience, preferably in a public works, engineering, or local government setting.
• Management Analyst II:  At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience performing duties at the Management Analyst I level.

Licenses:

Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California Class C driver’s license.

Special Requirements:

• Ability to work in an office environment with occasional travel to field locations and meetings, including occasional evening or weekend commitments.  
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and Live Scan.
