Preschool Teacher

The City of Burlingame is looking for an energetic, caring, creative, and responsible Preschool Teacher. Under direction of a Recreation Supervisor, the Preschool Teacher plans, schedules, and organizes preschool classes for the City’s Village Park Preschool program, assures policies and procedures are maintained, and performs related work as required.

Essential Duties

• Plan, organize, and implement activities that support early childhood education and socialization
• Lead a variety of activities including, but not limited to, arts and crafts, organized games, story time, music/singing activities, science, cooking, early writing skills, and interactive circle time

San Mateo County Health is seeking well-qualified individual for the position of Medical Office Specialist-Behavioral Health & Recovery Services – Extra Help.

There is currently one extra help part time (20-hours per week) vacancy in the Behavioral Health & Recovery Services Division. This position is located in Belmont, CA, but may travel/drive throughout the County to perform duties of the job.

The Medical Office Specialist (MOS) will be involved in the organization and development of workflows for the Access Utilization Management (UM) Team. The Medical Office Specialist will oversee and perform a variety of complex medical office administrative tasks that correspond to the compliance mandates of Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS); perform difficult, complex, technical or specialized medical office support work, which may require the exercise of independent judgment, the application of technical skills, and a knowledge of detailed or specialized activities related to Behavioral Health and Recovery Services and compliance standards; and may train others in work procedures or direct the work of others on a project or relief basis.

Access Utilization Management (UM) MOS Position
Support outpatient utilization management; track timelines, requests, and provide monthly reports on completed tasks; help with formatting spreadsheets, creating PDF referral forms, and completing complex spreadsheet analysis in Excel; write formal letters and input data from the electronic medical record (EMR) database; verify insurance eligibility; input demographic and insurance eligibility in EMR database, Avatar; oversee and perform a variety of complex administrative tasks that correspond to the compliance mandates of DHCS and CMS; and process in or out of county requests using knowledge of specialized out of county activities.

Ideal candidate will possess:

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel

The position will be filled at either the Water Distribution Operator I or Water Distribution Operator II classification, dependent upon candidate qualifications. The salary ranges for each classification are as follows:

• Water Distribution Operator I: $35.87 – $48.43 hourly
• Water Distribution Operator II: $39.45 – $53.27 hourly

WORK SCHEDULE AND BENEFITS:

The District observes a 4/10 work schedule, Monday-Thursday, 10-hour days. The regular work schedule for the Water Distribution Operator I/II position is 6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Water Distribution Operators also perform Standby Duty on a rotating basis. Standby Duty begins at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday and shall end at 5:00 p.m. on the following Tuesday. Per CHWD policy, employees assigned to Standby Duty must reside within fifteen (15) miles of the District headquarters while performing Standby Duty.

Water Distribution Operators are directly involved in the installation, maintenance, and repair of valves, mains, services, and related potable water distribution system facilities and equipment. Performs related work as required.

Water Distribution Operator I - This is the entry-level class in the Water Distribution Operator series. Positions in this class typically have little or no directly related work experience and work under immediate supervision while learning job tasks. The Water Distribution Operator I class is distinguished from the II level by the performance of less than the full range of duties assigned to the II level. Water Distribution Operator II - This is the journey-level class in the Water Distribution Operator series and is distinguished from the I level by the assignment of the full range of duties. Employees at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new, unusual, or unique situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies within the work unit. Positions in this class are flexibly staffed and are normally filled by advancement from the I level once the incumbent meets the qualification standards of the II level, demonstrates an ability to perform the full scope of the work, and meets performance standards.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

•    Assisting with employee benefits and health plan administration, employee inquiries, enrollment support, and new employee orientation

DEFINITION:

The City of Union City’s Community and Recreation Services Department is seeking passionate, motivated, and certified fitness professionals to join the Mark Green Sports Center (MGSC) team as Group Exercise Instructors and/or Personal Trainers. This position supports the City’s mission to promote health, wellness, and community engagement through high-quality fitness programs. Trainers and instructors work in a supportive, community-based environment — with no commission-based quotas or sales pressure. Instead, our Fitness Coordinator assists in client promotion, class opportunities, and professional growth through internal referrals and member engagement. Group Exercise Instructors may join our substitute roster and may be assigned to teach classes aligned with their certification and experience as openings arise.
