The Position: PAL Program Attendants work with Suisun City’s PAL Program and with area teenagers ages 13-19 to implement educational and recreational activities: tutoring, sports, games, mini-excursions, competitions, contests, seminars, and special events, and provide general support to the program’s Recreation Supervisor. After School Program Technician I's work in the formal Suisun City classification of Recreation Specialist II. Starting hourly rate will depend on qualifications. This position works on average 19-29 hours per week.

The Position: Under general supervision, this position involves organizing, leading, and coordinating a variety of indoor and outdoor recreational and educational activities for an Afterschool Program. This role is classified as Temporary Part-Time to support both seasonal and year-round recreational programs.

On April 29, 2025, Suisun City Council approved a new contract between the Suisun City RPM Department and the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD). This agreement expands after school programming to include to grades TK-5 at Dan O. Root Elementary and Crescent Elementary Schools, making the Suisun City RPM Department the sole provider of after school services at both locations. • Assist with administrating the construction and demolition recycling program and coordinating with City departments for project compliance.

The City of Gilroy is currently recruiting for a full-time Systems Administrator to join the Information Technology Division within the Finance Department. In this exciting opportunity, the Systems Administrator will work under the direction of the Information Technology Manager and will lead large scale projects, including those involving mission critical services. This position is responsible for initiating, maintaining, and overseeing all server and storage systems including Public Safety. This includes preventative maintenance, process improvements, diagnostic routines, and ongoing technical support. Responsibilities may include supervising Information Technology staff and managing technology resources to support departmental goals. The role also involves analyzing business needs to identify effective technology solutions, as well as managing the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise applications and server infrastructure. Bring your expertise to a dynamic team, where you’ll perform system upgrades to ensure reliability and optimal performance. This position also offers the opportunity to develop and maintain Information Technology policies and documentation, contributing to the division’s strategic vision, and handle materials and information with strict confidentiality. CANDIDATE PERSPECTIVE/ LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
 This position offers the opportunity to work with a broad range of systems and applications within the City’s technology environment. Key projects include migrating desktop and server operating systems to the latest versions of Windows and supporting cybersecurity initiatives such as the implementation of a next-generation internet protection solution. This role will also be involved in the transition of the City’s internal and external domain name systems to a secure .gov domain. Looking ahead, future initiatives include upgrading our enterprise storage infrastructure to enhance multi-site redundancy and resiliency, as well as modernizing the City’s telephony (VOIP) communication systems.

• Complete the migration of Police Department endpoints to Windows 11
• Upgrade all Windows Server operating systems

About the role:                   

The Parks, Recreation & Community Services Manager – Arts & Events is responsible for overseeing the City’s signature community events, cultural programming, and public art initiatives that celebrate Redwood City’s diverse community and vibrant downtown. This position manages the planning, coordination, and production of a wide range of public events including festivals, concerts, cultural celebrations, and arts programming that bring people together and foster community pride.

In addition to event management, this role provides critical support to the Director of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services on all public art initiatives. The Arts and Events Manager serve as the staff liaison to the Arts Commission, manages website content related to the Commission and public art, and leads the implementation and updating of the City’s Public Art Master Plan. The position also ensures compliance with the Percent for Art Ordinance, including public art permit application management, maintaining detailed records of all art in public places (45.070 Section C), and overseeing the recognition and promotion of public art throughout the city.

The Arts and Events Manager collaborate closely with the Economic Development Manager and works with developers as new commercial projects over 50,000 square feet come on board, ensuring compliance with public art requirements.

More broadly, this role involves negotiating, preparing, and managing contracts and agreements with vendors, performers, artists, and community partners, while ensuring compliance with City policies and maintaining strong inter-agency collaboration.
