ABOUT THE POSITION

The City of Redwood City Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department invites you to apply for the casual position of Building Attendant. This position requires daytime availability for four-to-six-hour shifts between the hours of 8am and 5pm. A person in this classification will work flexibly, up to 20 hours per week. Locations could vary across multiple community centers, and Building Attendants will be required to open the facility as needed.

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is looking for to fill one vacancy for the Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) for the Adult Full Service Partnership (FSP) Department. The BHS will provide a variety of rehabilitative support services to clients to facilitate behavior modification, skill building, and self-care and safety in individual and/or group settings. 

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Develops, monitors, and evaluates client rehabilitative and case management goals and increases/decreases in targeted behavior according to client needs; monitors goal progress/regression.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Redwood City is known for delivering a large variety of high-quality special events year-round including concerts, festivals, cultural events, kids concerts, pop up recreational activities, and more. Overview:

The Assistant Engineer I/II in the Construction Management Services Unit performs essential execution-level civil engineering and construction management support functions for Valley Water capital construction projects. This position performs professional engineering tasks related to managing construction contracts, including reviewing and processing contractor submittals and requests for information (RFIs), interpreting contract documents, evaluating design changes, and supporting change orders and construction claims. The Assistant Engineer I/II provides continuity during the transition from pre-construction into construction by supporting constructability review, contract administration setup, early contractor coordination, and issue resolution as work progresses. The role supports project delivery by providing timely technical analysis and coordination support under the direction of Associate and Senior Engineering staff to manage construction risks related to cost, schedule, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform professional civil engineering duties in support of construction contract management for various capital projects, including technical review of construction activities, evaluation of construction issues, and coordination with construction management, inspection staff, and contractors to support issue resolution.
• Review, track, and respond to contractor RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and design clarifications; interpret contract documents and coordinate with design engineers and construction management staff to support timely resolution of construction issues.

Ideal Training and Education:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in civil engineering or a related field.

OR

Possession of a valid California Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate with two (2) years of associated paraprofessional engineering experience.

This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule, typically working 40% remote and 60% onsite.

The Ideal Candidate for the Digital Media & Communications Intern position is a creative, organized, and detail-oriented individual with a strong interest in digital media, visual design, and public-sector communications. The successful candidate will have experience capturing and editing photographs and video, managing digital files, and creating visually consistent materials across multiple platforms.

This candidate demonstrates proficiency with design and media tools (such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar software) and has a foundational understanding of branding, layout, and visual storytelling. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage and catalog digital assets, and a willingness to work collaboratively with department staff are essential to this position. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Woodland Joint Unified School District (WJUSD) Maintenance, Operations, and Facilities Department is seeking a motivated Civic Fellow to support the district’s sustainability and environmental stewardship efforts. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in sustainability practices, facilities operations, and process improvement within a public education setting.

The Civic Fellow will assist in assessing current district practices related to recycling, waste reduction, and resource conservation. This may include reviewing recycling programs, observing waste management practices at school sites, and identifying opportunities to improve sustainability efforts. Working closely with Maintenance, Operations, and Facilities staff, the Fellow will help research best practices and develop practical recommendations to improve environmental outcomes and operational efficiency.

This fellowship provides practical exposure to sustainability planning, facilities management, and public sector operations, equipping participants with valuable skills in research, data analysis, environmental practices, and process improvement while contributing to the district’s commitment to responsible resource management.

The ideal candidate is a motivated and detail-oriented individual with an interest in sustainability, environmental science, public administration, and/or facilities operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills, curiosity, and a willingness to learn about sustainability practices. Interest in environmental responsibility, waste reduction, or operational efficiency is desirable. Experience with research, data collection, or spreadsheets is helpful but not required.

This position is well suited for someone who enjoys identifying practical solutions, working on real-world challenges, and contributing to efforts that improve environmental responsibility within a large organization.
