The City of Foster City is looking for a Public Works Maintenance Worker I who is able to demonstrate competency and increasing independence, knowledge and ability in performing routine and special assignments in a variety of maintenance program areas in the Public Works department. This position is expected to rotate through all the maintenance divisions of streets, lagoons, water, and wastewater. This is a full-time entry-level position. 

The ideal candidate will be an active listener with the ability to understand and follow verbal or written instruction. They will be able to safely operate equipment and tools and recognize the use of safe work practices. This individual will establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others and learn and retain information concerning equipment, functions, and projects. This position requires standby and emergency response coverage before or after regular work hours, weekends, and holidays.

Education and Training Guidelines
Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities. A typical way would be:

Education: Completion of a job or technical training program in maintenance, or construction, completion of high school or the equivalent.

Experience: One year of full-time experience in general maintenance or construction.

Licenses, Certificates, Registration
Licenses:  Possession of a valid California Class "C" and Class "B" Driver's License. Must obtain valid California Class “B” Driver’s License within six months of appointment.

Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed for relevant education, experience, training and other job related qualifications. Based upon a review of employment applications received, a limited number of the qualified applicants will be invited to participate in the examination process.

The process will consist of an Oral Panel Interview (weighted 50%), Written Exercise (weighted 25%), and Practical Exercise (weighted 25%). An eligibility list will be established from those who pass the examination process with a score of 70% or higher. Current and future vacancies may be filled from this list. The list will remain in effect for at least one year unless exhausted sooner.

The department will invite the most qualified candidates from the eligibility list to a final department interview. The Public Works department will make the hiring decision.

The Economic Development Manager will plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage the activities of the economic development program utilizing specialized knowledge and skills to develop and implement strategies and projects to encourage business attraction, retention and expansion.  

The Economic Development Manager receives administrative direction from the Community Development Director. Responsibilities and essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to: 

• Assist the City Manager in developing and implementing the goals, objectives, policies and priorities for the economic development program. 
• Prepare and present staff reports and information on economic development projects to the City Council.
• Plan, prepare and implement marketing strategies, programs and special events that promote and expand the quality of life for both residents and businesses in the City and support economic vitality of the City.
• Participate in and manage collaborative programs of economic development with the Chamber of Commerce, business community and other public and private sector entities.
• Serve as the City’s representative and primary liaison to the Pleasant Hill Tourism Improvement District (TID), including staff support for formation/renewal of the TID. 
• Monitor, compile, analyze and report on various information data sources including employment, retail sales tax, business license, commercial real estate, population and demographics, hotel occupancy rates and assessed property values.
• Coordinate with other City divisions/departments on current and planned development projects.
• Exercise management and operational authority over assigned projects, services, and administration operations; maintain financial and administrative processes and records; develop recommendations for establishing and/or modifying policies and procedures.
• Monitor workflow of the Economic Development Division and review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures and make necessary recommendations to the City Manager.
• Prepare budget and forecasting for the Economic Development Division.
• Serve as primary staff support for the City Council’s Economic Development Committee providing policy research and project implementation of economic development activities in the City.
• Serve as the City’s primary contact with the commercial real estate brokerage community including participation at local and regional International Council of Shopping Center (ICSC) events.
• Represent the City and establish and maintain positive working relationships with representatives of community organizations, business organizations, state and local agencies and associations, city management, staff and the general public.
• Serve as the City’s liaison with the property owner and manager of Downtown Pleasant Hill to coordinate and facilitate projects in the Downtown. 
• Perform related duties as assigned.  

The ideal candidate will have significant economic development experience and will excel project management. The ideal candidate will be able to “hit the ground running” and quickly establish rapport, trust, and credibility within the organization and the community.  

Top areas of focus for the next Economic Development Manager will be:

• Collaboration – Continue to work seamlessly with the City Manager and the Community and Economic Development Director’s team.
• Development – Maintain and carry on the momentum the incumbent has set forth on various projects and negotiations such as the Farmers Market. Continue to work on the City’s shopping centers developments.
• Housing – Work with the Planning team on meeting state housing requirements. Work on rezoning commercial areas for mixed-use developments.
• Communication – Foster open and timely communication internally with staff and other departments and externally with developers and stakeholders. Represent the City as a staff liaison on commissions and boards such as the Education Commission.

THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill one (1) full-time vacancy for the position of Psychiatric Technician I/II (Licensed) within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP) for the day shift. 

Tri-City’s MCCP operates 24/7 to provide crucial support in mobile crises. As such, the schedule will involve a 3/12 shift pattern, consisting of three twelve-hour days per workweek and one alternating eight-hour day every other week. Shifts may include weekends, daytime hours, and holidays.

This position will first work a 5/40 schedule for approximately 3-6 months of training before transitioning into the day shift schedule.

Examples of day shifts are included below:

• Day Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Weekend and night shifts will be entitled to Shift Differential Pay of $2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday shifts will be entitled to Holiday Pay.

Tri-City is looking for an individual to serve as a Psychiatric Technician I/II (Licensed) on a full-time basis for the MCCP. The MCCP Psychiatric Technician will be part of a team that provides crisis intervention and stabilization, linkage and referral, consultation, and education within the scope of practice. The MCCP Psychiatric Technician will report to the Mobile Crisis Care Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but are not limited to, the following:

Positions at the Psychiatric Technician I level may perform some of these duties and responsibilities in a learning capacity.

• Under the direction of clinical staff, provides medication management services to a caseload of clients in the office and in the field; ensures the proper acquisition and administration of medication.
   
• Provides education and training to clients, their families, and/or staff on the proper care and use of medications, including symptoms of, reactions to, or side effects of, specific medications; informs clients of the impact of abuse and/or misuse of medications.
   
• Conducts home/field visits to evaluate client’s physical environment and behavior such as anxiety, withdrawals, and behavioral health progression/regression.
   
• Takes and records measures of clients’ vital signs, physical condition, and behaviors; assists and observes clients self-dispense medication as prescribed by a psychiatrist and administers scheduled injections.
   
• Conducts medication checks on clients to assess their overall medication management capabilities; takes appropriate action if client poses danger with respect to the use or abuse of medication; observes, evaluates, records, and reports to professional staff changes in client’s condition.
   
• Motivates clients to develop self-reliance in daily living; encourages clients to participate in group and/or individual therapy/program activities.

Under general direction, the Regulatory Compliance Analyst coordinates and oversees the planning, development, and implementation of regulatory programs within the Public Works Department. ABOUT THE POSITION
City of Gilroy is currently recruiting for a full-time Senior Maintenance Worker position assigned to the Wastewater section within the Utilities Department, Operations Division. 
Wastewater section personnel are responsible for the wastewater collection system including inspecting, cleaning, maintaining, constructing, and repairing sanitary sewer lines and lift stations. Under direct supervision of the Operations Services Supervisor, this position performs and supervises maintenance work within the Wastewater section and acts for the supervisor in his/her absence or direction.

Located adjacent to San Francisco Bay on Colma Creek, the Water Quality Control Plant (WQCP) provides secondary wastewater treatment for the cities of South San Francisco, San Bruno, and Colma. It also provides the dechlorination treatment of chlorinated effluent for the cities of Burlingame, Millbrae, and the San Francisco International Airport prior to discharging the treated wastewater into San Francisco Bay. The average dry weather flow through the facility is 9 million gallons per day (MGD).
