THE POSITION:

This is a division head management position at the Hayward Executive Airport, reporting to the Airport Manager. The incumbent is responsible for the management of the business and accounting functions at the airport and provides second-line supervision and direction of staff within the Airport Division. This position is distinguished from the Airport Operations Supervisor classification which is responsible for the direct supervision of staff performance of Airside and Landside operations and maintenance tasks at the airport. Under general direction, the Airport Business Supervisor, oversees the airport business function including budget preparation, the real property program, tenant compliance with contract provisions, collections, preparation of grant applications, and other administrative duties.

The Airport Business Supervisor is a key administrative position in the Airport division of Hayward Public Works Department. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, discrete and a multitasker able to meet tight deadlines when required. They are a networker, able to build bridges with internal and external customers. Essential Duties

What you will do: 
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

Assist the Airport Manager with the negotiation of commercial lease agreements.

Prepare draft leases at the request of the Airport Manager.
 
Oversee preparation of the annual airport budget.
 
Maintain a detailed database of all commercial and individual airport tenants.
 
Monitor tenant compliance with contract provisions.
 
Monitor account receivables and collect past due amounts.
 
Prepare annual business permits and monitor tenant compliance.

Perform appraisals and provide estimated current values on real property.
 
Administer the City hangar waiting list.
 
Prepare Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Caltrans grant applications and related documents.
 
Monitor and submit required FAA reports for the DBE program.
 
Performs related work as necessary.

Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying.  A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
 
Experience:  Five (5) years of experience in real property management, appraisals, negotiations, and budgeting.  Including two (2) years of supervisory or lead experience.  Experience in an airport business office preferred.
 
Education:  Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major work in Public or Business Administration, or a closely related field.
 
Licenses and Certificates:  Possession of either an FAA Private Pilot Certificate or standing as a Certified Member (CM) of the American Association of Airport Executives is desirable.

The Position

The current opening is for a casual, part-time Police Community Service Officer and is under the direction of the Police Sergeant.  The Police Community Service Officer is an entry level, non-sworn, technical support classification associated with law enforcement in the Town Police Department and may perform a variety of responsible duties not requiring the attention of a sworn officer. The focus of the incumbent is parking enforcement.

The Department

San Mateo County Health's Public Health, Policy and Planning Division has exciting field-based opportunities for well-qualified and motivated Nurse Practitioners to provide both primary and urgent care to adults from vulnerable populations within our community—people experiencing homelessness and/or in shelters, monolingual Spanish speakers and other new immigrants, and those without insurance or underinsured. These services are provided through various Mobile Clinic modalities and venues, including but not limited to street medicine, shelter medicine, and the mobile coach. We are looking for collaborative Nurse Practitioners to work in and lead various multidisciplinary service teams in the field to provide comprehensive, low-threshold, client-centered care and engagement.

Teams are staffed by a Nurse Practitioner (NP), Psychiatrist, Medical Services Assistant, AOD Case Manager, and Patient Services Assistants. These teams work closely with our community partners from the Human Services Agency and community-based organizations who locate and identify clients needing medical and/or mental health services, as well as provide additional health, housing, and social services in the field.

Under general supervision, Nurse Practitioners provide urgent care and primary health care services such as physical examinations, chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes and hypertension), and referrals/linkages to specialty clinics as appropriate.

Currently, Public Health Clinics has one full-time, regular, 40-hour-per-week vacancy for a bilingual Spanish Nurse Practitioner and two 40-hour-per-week, Limited-Term Nurse Practitioner vacancies, requiring flexible schedules and field-based work at different locations. Sixty-five percent of the NP’s time will be in the field, with the remainder spent in the office documenting notes, placing orders, and coordinating with other staff as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying.

• Education: Completion of an advanced nursing degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), with emphasis in a Nurse Practitioner specialty area.

• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of paid experience in an acute and/or ambulatory care setting.

What You’ll Be Doing
Definition
Under direction, the Senior Information Systems Analyst leads and participates in the work of staff responsible for providing technical and analytical support to VTA computer information systems and computer servers.

Distinguishing Characteristics
This is the advanced journey level in the Information Systems Analyst series.  Positions at this level are distinguished from other classes within the series by the level of responsibility assumed and the complexity of duties assigned. The Senior Information Systems Analyst performs project lead functions including assigning work, delegating assignments, and reviewing the work of others and keeping the supervisor updated.

Incumbents at this level perform the most difficult and responsible types of duties assigned to classes within this series including serving as a project lead over staff responsible for maintaining VTA's computer information systems and computer servers, researching and recommending new hardware and software components, and providing related support to the users.  Incumbents at this level are fully trained in all procedures related to assigned area of responsibility.

This class is distinguished from the higher-level classifications of Information Systems Supervisor and Technology Infrastructure Supervisor in that the supervisory classifications are responsible for full supervisory activities over a major section in the Technology Department.
 

Minimum Qualifications
Employment Standards

The San Rafael Fire Department (SRFD) is piloting a 6-month, part-time, BLS ambulance  program and is seeking up to 6 motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team! This opportunity is designed for individuals who are pursuing a career in the fire/EMS services and want to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment. As an EMT, you will work closely with our experienced staff to learn about fire department operations, emergency response procedures, and community engagement.

The ideal candidate is a motivated and community-minded individual who is eager to learn and grow while supporting the San Rafael Fire Department (SRFD) in delivering high-quality Basic Life Support (BLS) services. Under the instruction and supervision of the EMS Battalion Chief, the ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and a strong commitment to teamwork. They will embrace training opportunities, from classroom learning to hands-on field experience, and apply this knowledge to support emergency medical services and operations. The mission of the EMT program within the San Rafael Fire Department is to support emergency operations by providing high-quality Basic Life Support services under the guidance of the EMS Battalion Chief. • Emergency Response Support: Provide emergency medical care at the basic life support level and provide support services to Firefighter/Paramedic crews at prolonged incidents including fires, medical emergencies, rescues, and hazardous materials incidents. Participate in drills and exercises to enhance your understanding of emergency response protocols. 

• Equipment and Vehicle Operation and Communication: identify and operate various types of equipment for life saving and support measures; safely and effectively drive ambulance unit to specific locations while in communication with dispatchers, treatment center personnel, and/or other emergency team members and internal/external personnel, in a respectful and collaborative manner. Consistently practice and promote safety for yourself, colleagues, patients, and the public in all aspects of emergency medical response and care.  

• Training Participation: Attend training sessions, workshops, and skill-building exercises to learn about emergency medicine and fire suppression techniques, search and rescue operations, medical aid procedures, and other essential firefighting skills. 

• Equipment and Facility Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and inspection of firefighting equipment, tools, and apparatus. Learn proper cleaning, care, and upkeep of vehicles, gear and tools to ensure readiness for emergency situations. Assist in the tracking, organizing, and dispensing of inventory.  

• Community Outreach: Participate in community events, educational programs, and public demonstrations to promote fire safety awareness and engage with the local community. Serve as an ambassador for the fire department and provide information about fire prevention and preparedness. 

• Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as record-keeping, data entry, and inventory management. Gain exposure to the behind-the-scenes operations of a fire department.  

• Physical Fitness: Work towards maintaining a level of physical fitness necessary for performing firefighting duties. Engage in physical training and conditioning activities as directed by the department. 

• Professional Development: Actively seek opportunities for learning and growth within the fire service. Take part in discussions with experienced firefighters to gain insights into career pathways and development strategies. 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 

• Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.  

• Must possess a valid EMT (EMT-1/EMT-B) Certificate either through the National Registry EMT or State of California. Must maintain local certification requirements.  

• Must possess a valid CPR “Healthcare Provider” card issued by the American Heart Association or equivalent.  

• Must possess, or within one month of appointment must obtain, an Ambulance Driver Certificate through the CA DMV.  

• Must possess a valid California Class C Driver’s License with a satisfactory record.

• Physical fitness and ability to perform basic physical tasks, continuously move +/-25lbs, and lift up to 50lbs.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as adhere to the chain of command.  

• Bilingual language skills. 

DURATION

This position is part of a 6-month pilot program. The exact duration may vary based on department needs and program performance. Successful candidates may not work more than 1,000 hours in a fiscal year.

Under the general direction of the Town Manager, plans, schedules, and directs the work of the Public Works Department, which includes providing supervision of street improvements, permits, traffic control, pavement markings, parks and public landscaping, storm drains, street sweeping, building maintenance, and general engineering functions; performs related work as required.

EXAMPLES  OF DUTIES

Prepares and presents public works related items and issues to the Town Council. Plans and supervises the capital improvement program, street maintenance program, storm drain and disaster related repairs and all aspects and equipment related thereto; periodically inspects streets and all public facilities for deficiencies and recommends corrective actions and priority of work; estimates labor, materials, and oversees initiation of projects including street openings, retaining walls, flood control and drainage facilities; manages the Town’s participation in the Marin County storm water pollution prevention program; manages the Town’s GIS program; prepares plans and specifications for bidding procedures; interacts with the Consulting Town Engineer and/or supervises engineering functions; provides complex and responsible administrative support to the Town Manager; prepares departmental budget and controls expenditures; personnel administration within the department; participates in code enforcement and in other activities, as required.
