Public Safety Records Specialist I

The City of Sunnyvale is recruiting for the position of Public Safety Records Specialist I for the Department of Public Safety. The Public Safety Records Specialist is responsible for performing a wide variety of administrative, technical, and clerical records support duties in the Records Division of the Department of Public Safety, including the maintenance of records and files, processing of data and reports, critical time-sensitive data entry, providing support to sworn personnel, and providing information to the public, outside agencies and departmental staff; and performs related work as required. The Records Division is staffed on a seven day/week, 24 hour/day schedule, including weekends and holidays.

OVERVIEW 
The Judicial Council of California is accepting applications for the position of Engineering Specialist with the Facilities Services office. 

The Engineering Specialist is a subject matter expert in electrical systems of building facilities. Working closely with project managers, architects and engineers, and facility management administrators, the incumbent will have broad knowledge and experience in electrical systems. Incumbent will review and advise on multiple new ground-up construction capital projects and facility modifications and act as a resource for providing technical assistance on projects during design and construction. THE ORGANIZATION

ABOUT THE POSITION
 Under policy direction from the City Council, the City Manager serves as the chief executive officer for the City; The City Manager plans, manages, organizes and directs the overall administrative activities and operations of the City, develops and implements budget and financial strategies for the City and provides complex administrative support to the City Council. The City Manager develops and recommends policies, procedures, rules, and regulations governing City operations for presentation and approval from the City Council and ensures proper communication and implementation of policy decisions. This position directs the preparation of staff reports and agenda items and ensures that all City Council actions are properly recorded and implemented.

OVERVIEW 
The Judicial Council of California is accepting applications for the position of Construction Inspector with the Facilities Services office. 

The Construction Inspector is responsible for providing technical construction inspections of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related elements during construction or alteration of judicial branch buildings and facilities. Incumbents may direct the work of contracted staff, and/or may serve as specialists who work independently and deal with complex and/or sensitive projects relating to detailed technical inspections of construction materials, methods, and work quality, and monitor construction work for compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations. In this capacity, Construction Inspectors ensure compliance with applicable codes, rules, and regulations, provide technical direction in assigned area of expertise, and serve as a point of contact for both internal clients and external regulatory agencies. Incumbent should have working knowledge of California Building Standards Code, Title 24.

Under the general supervision of the Planning and Building Director, the Building Inspector I/II is responsible for inspecting construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable building codes and regulations. The City of Dixon is looking to fill two (2) vacancies for a Departmental Intern for the Engineering Department! This is a great opportunity for Civil Engineering students currently working towards an engineering career who would like to obtain paraprofessional experience at a Public Sector agency. The Engineering/Utilities Department is responsible for the design of residential and commercial developments, construction oversight of infrastructure within the City Right-of-Way, and operation and maintenance of utilities used, owned, and enjoyed by the public. The utility infrastructure includes the municipal water distribution system/facilities, storm drainage collection system/facilities, sewer collection system, and wastewater treatment facility.

This position will perform a variety of entry-level paraprofessional work which may involve research, data collection, investigation, report, and materials preparation, record keeping, and plans evaluation and processing, database maintenance, drafting, wastewater flow studies, measure and calculate project quantities, hydraulic and other analysis and assistance with general office and field tasks.

Length of Employment:  Temporary Employment for a duration of 6-12 months. Subject to change as deemed necessary.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, move large appliances short distances, and climb ladders to inspect attic spaces for certain programs.
