The City of Hayward is seeking a strategic and collaborative Director of Finance to oversee its centralized financial operations. Reporting directly to the City Manager, this executive role provides leadership in accounting, budgeting, treasury, revenue collection, licensing, purchasing, and data systems. The Director serves as the City's Chief Financial Officer, managing the preparation and oversight of the annual operating and capital improvement budgets, ensuring audit compliance, and maintaining strong internal controls. Additionally, the role advises the City Manager and Council on fiscal matters, promotes transparency and efficiency, and leads a dedicated team committed to service excellence and innovation. The Director also acts as Treasurer-Controller for the East Bay Dischargers Authority and supports programs such as the Rent Review Board.

The County of Yuba is recruiting for both Extra-Help and Full-Time Juvenile Corrections Officers I/II, in an effort to fill current vacancies and expand staffing levels. These positions are located on the Tri-County Youth Rehabilitation Campus which falls under the Juvenile Institutions Division of the Yuba County Probation Department.  The primary responsibilities of this flexibly staffed position are to: provide care, custody, supervision, and control of youth housed in the secured detention facilities while they are pending legal action or serving a post adjudication commitment; ensure and sustain a safe and secure environment for youth; and coordinate counseling and behavior modification activities associated with the operation of the facilities.

About Detention Services & Yuba County:

Our Department believes people can change and we can be instrumental in supporting that change.  We are  a small workplace family that supports one another to accomplish our mission and allow our team members to live full lives outside the workplace. Our Campus provides youth detention services to the communities of Yuba, Sutter, and Colusa Counties as well as several contract counties through our Camp Singer program.  We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, and includes the Tri-County Juvenile Hall, Secure Housing Unit, and Maxine Singer Youth Guidance Center (Camp Singer), under a Joint Powers Agreement between the three counties. Our Department is the administrative agency responsible for the management and daily operation of the facility. The shared goal of facility staff is to provide youth with support and tools that will assist them with successfully reintegrating back into the community.  Staff are provided with state mandated relevant training, which includes youth trauma; crisis management; cultural competence; mental health awareness; sexual abuse and harassment; and proper use of force.    

IMPORTANT:

This is a journey-level classification encompassing specialized technical and administrative support within the Police Department. Incumbents are responsible for the comprehensive maintenance of departmental databases, preparation and assembly of detailed reports, support of recruitment processes, contribution to departmental planning initiatives, and provision of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) expertise. This classification demands independent work and the exercise of sound judgment and initiative. Under direct supervision, a Water Distribution Operator Trainee assists in the operation and maintenance of the potable water and recycled water distribution systems; operates a variety of equipment; inspects and repairs water meters and water service lines; monitors and records meter readings of water consumption levels and assists with related adjustments as needed; collects and transport water samples for lab analysis; and performs other duties as assigned. This trainee level position will initially work under direct supervision and receive on-the-job training to develop skills and experience necessary for safe operation and maintenance of the water distribution system.

The City of Dixon is looking to fill one full-time, regular position of Accountant in the Finance Department. This position performs professional level accounting functions such as recording and reporting financial transactions, review of financial records; provides fiscal control for assigned areas of operation, preparation of financial report statements and analyzes. This is not a remote position and work schedule will be Monday through Friday, onsite.

Accountant - This classification is the entry level, mid-management position in the accounting series. Professional level work is performed, and incumbents are expected to perform the full range of accounting duties with minimal supervision. Successful performance in this position requires a thorough knowledge of governmental accounting procedures and the ability to exercise sound judgement within established guidelines.

The City of Newark is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and highly professional City Clerk to lead and manage the operations of the City Clerk’s Office. This key leadership position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the City’s official records, ensuring transparency in local government, and safeguarding public information.

The City Clerk oversees the preparation and maintenance of City Council agendas and minutes, directs municipal elections, administers the City’s Records Management Program, and serves as the Filing Officer for the Fair Political Practices Commission. The role also includes managing ordinances and municipal codes, providing complex administrative support to the City Council, City Manager, and Assistant City Manager, and supervising administrative and clerical staff.

This position requires exceptional leadership, judgment, discretion, and organizational skills, as well as extensive knowledge of municipal governance, public policy, and the role of an elected City Council. The City Clerk must work with professionalism, tact, and diplomacy when interacting with elected officials, staff, agencies, and the public. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing official and confidential records in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

• Preparing and editing reports, ordinances, and resolutions.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Public Administration, Business Administration, Public Policy, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a closely related field, and five (5) years of municipal government experience with a minimum of two (2) years in a City Clerk’s office, and two (2) years of supervisory experience.

License and Certificate:

• Certification as a Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) is desirable. 

SENIOR APPLICATIONS ANALYST

The City of Sunnyvale is seeking two Senior Applications Analysts in the Information Technology Department. These positions are intended for support and enhancements of our Oracle Cloud ERP & HCM applications. In addition the positions will assume primary and secondary support roles for multiple enterprise systems including system configuration, reporting and interfaces, day-to-day operational issues, break/fix, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and on-call rotations.

The ideal candidate will have experience with supporting HCM or Financial systems, preferably an integrated ERP/HCM system, ideally Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.  Our Oracle Cloud ERP modules include General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Procure to Pay, Inventory Management, Accounts Receivable and Project Portfolio Management, and HCM includes Core HR, Benefits, Absence, Time and Labor and Payroll; the position will provide a strong techno-functional foundation to other team members.  The candidate we seek will be detail-oriented, able to create and edit documentation, and understand technical complexities involved in functional configuration, integration, interface, and report development with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with end users.

Work Schedule: The position is eligible for Telework, up to 2 days per week, after a 6-month mandatory onsite work schedule.  The Telework schedule is subject to approval from the department head as permitted by City policy and practice.
