Village Park Preschool Program

Village Park Preschool is a play-based preschool program offered by the City of Burlingame Parks and Recreation Department. We offer 5 programs: Lil’ Sprouts (2 year olds), Cottage Kids (3 year olds), Playschool Villagers (3 year olds), Afternoon Owls (3 year olds), and Camp Treehouse (3-4 year olds).  The emphasis of the program is physical, social, and emotional growth in a child-centered environment. Activities are designed to foster a healthy child that develops an early love of learning. Village Park Preschool programs strive to create an environment inspiring each child’s individual creativity and self-expression. Children participate in arts/crafts, music, body movement, basic science, cognitive games, creative/dramatic play, cooking, circle and story time, fine and gross motor skill building, and phonics awareness.

Definition: Preschool Site Coordinator

The City of Burlingame is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, creative, and responsible Preschool Site Coordinator. Under direction of a Recreation Supervisor, the Preschool Site Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Village Park Preschool ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This role involves managing staff, coordinating programs, communicating with parents, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties

• Program Oversite
  • Coordinate with teachers and staff to ensure lesson plans, schedules, and classroom activities align with educational standards and goals.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of programs and make adjustments as needed to meet the needs of children and families.
  • Manage supply lists and shop for required materials.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
  • Lead a variety of activities including, but not limited to, arts and crafts, organized games, story time, music/singing activities, science, cooking, early writing skills, and interactive circle time.
  • Develop and plan activities for preschool summer camp
  • Change diapers and support toilet training.

• Staff Management 
  • Train and supervise teaching staff.
  • Provide ongoing support, guidance, and professional development opportunities to staff to enhance their skills and performance.

• Parent Communication 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a responsive and professional manner.
  • Facilitate open communication and collaboration between parents, teachers, and staff to promote a positive and supportive learning environment.

• Administrative Duties 
  • Prepare monthly newsletter.

San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) seeks a board eligible or board-certified psychiatrist to serve as a staff Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist within BHRS. The position is full time, and provides child psychiatric diagnostic and therapeutic services to clients in various divisions of San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services. Potential service sites include our outpatient behavioral health clinics, the Canyon Oaks Youth Center (youth residential program), the Youth Services Center, the Therapeutic Day School programs, the Transitional Age Youth program, and BHRS’s integrated behavioral health team co-located within the County’s pediatric clinics. The specifics of the clinical sites will be determined in collaboration with the successful candidate, the Supervising Child Psychiatrist, and the BHRS Medical Director.

Excellent Benefits Package

The position offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package which includes County funded malpractice insurance, pension plans and health benefits for retirees, 5% match into deferred comp, reimbursement of professional dues and expenses (up to $3,000/year), an additional 5% increase in salary for each qualifying Board certification up to two (2) Boards, administrative leave time at 5 hours per pay period up to 260 hours (this is prorated for part time employees) that can be used as time off or cashed out up to 50%, three days of Winter Recess (24 total hours) leave time, and a wellness program, including exercise classes, worksite massage, and an onsite gym. Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is: Completion of an accredited psychiatric residency program as well as a child and adolescent fellowship.

Licensure/Certification:

• License to practice medicine or osteopathy in the State of California.
• Possession of a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

The City of Santa Clara is recruiting for the Electric Utility Chief Operating Officer for its Electric Utility, Silicon Valley Power (SVP).  Reporting to the Chief Electric Utility Officer (CEUO), the Electric Utility Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a senior management position in the City's unclassified service responsible for the oversight and direction for the fiscal, administrative, and managerial operations of the utility. The COO has supervisory and support responsibilities for the utility's divisions: Utility Operations, Customer Development and Project Management, Resource Planning and Customer Engagement, and Business Services. The COO will help guide SVP through the extraordinary period of growth related by doubling the existing capacity of the electrical system to meet new customer demands over the next 10 years. In addition to the expansion, the COO will work to ensure new renewable resources are added to meet the City's and State’s climate goals. The COO is responsible for forecasting service requirements and for planning, organizing and directing assigned resources of the electric utility division in order to meet those requirements. This includes developing and administering the department operations and capital improvement budgets. The COO is expected to exercise critical thinking and detail oriented oversight in ensuring that utility operations are smooth, efficient, and compliant, with responsibility for results including costs, methods, and staffing.

This department is seeking to fill one (1) full-time Power Resources Specialist I/II position to support the Risk Management and Contracts Administration Division.

This position is part of an exciting fast-paced team responsible for mitigating risks and managing a power portfolio comprised of hundreds of megawatts of renewable energy projects.

The selected candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:

• Evaluate, review, and validate the accuracy of market positions and risk metrics such as mark-to-market, value at risk, gross margin at risk.
• Perform quantitative and analytical data modeling to quantify risks, evaluate risk reduction strategies, aid strategic/ operational decision making and provide insights.
• Update, manage and validate accuracy of Power BI business intelligence dashboards related to energy risk management such as risk limits, forward prices, collateral.
• Execute monthly and ad-hoc data reporting and quantitative modeling tasks.
• Validate and forecast collateral calls from counterparties and the CAISO and verify accuracy of collateral records.
• Collaborate with different divisions and IT department to support the build and implementation of data repository.
• Provide analytical support for power purchase and sale agreements and power supply audits.
• Compile reports, summaries, and presentations to communicate findings to management.
• Understand SJCE Risk Management Policy and Regulations and manage reviews and amendments.
• Support the development of middle office procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate energy market risks and market events. Develop and share knowledge of energy industry trends, new developments, and emerging risks.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

The Risk Management and Contracts Administration Division is responsible for providing independent oversight of the risks in transacting for energy products and services as well as ensuring compliance with adopted risk management policies and procedures. This unit provides strategic support to facilitate the development and execution of various contracts, and also manages the contracts administration and settlements function.

Salary Information:

Power Resources Specialist I is $99,503.04 - $121,255.68.

Power Resources Specialist II is $108,282.72-$131,913.60.

This range includes an approximate five (5%) ongoing on-pensionable pay. Actual pay shall be determined by the candidate's qualifications and experience.
