Attorneys collaborate closely with internal clients, and as needed, outside counsel to deliver practical, solutions oriented legal advice in support of City priorities.

• Conferring with department heads and City staff regarding legal issues and making appropriate recommendations

• Researching legal issues and preparing opinions, ordinances, resolutions, contracts, leases, permits, and other legal documents, depending on assignment

• Monitoring proposed legislation and court decisions affecting municipal operations

The Department: 

Silicon Valley Power, Asset Management Group has an excellent opportunity for the position of Engineering Technician (Electric). Job responsibilities include, prepares scaled and dimensioned plans based on sketches prepared by engineering and/or estimating personnel, maintains records of as-builts and updates existing SVP maps and records utilizing ESRI-based GIS applications, maintains master map files, including such records of block maps, street light maps, fiber communication, electric utility single line and operating diagrams and other maps, performs computing and drafting operations in AutoCAD, involved in checking drawings of electric utility facilities, perform other duties as assigned.

Post-secondary education equivalent to thirty (30) semester units or forty-five (45) quarter units including satisfactory completion of courses in mathematics, engineering, CAD, GIS, or related subjects may be substituted for the experience requirement.

License/Certifications: 

Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license is required at the time of appointment and for the duration of employment.

Desirable Qualifications: 

Computer-aided drafting (CAD) AND geographic information systems (GIS) experience
Completion of post-secondary coursework in GIS and CAD.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for an individual to fill the position of Psychiatric Technician I/II whom will provide medication support services both in the field and at the office. This particular position is located within the Adult Outpatient Clinic and will report to the Medication Support Team Manager & the Medication Support Services Supervisor. The Psychiatric Technician I/II will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community by providing all manner of adjunctive medication support services.

Psychiatric Technician I: This is the entry-level classification in the Psychiatric Technician series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn and perform routine medication monitoring, administration, and support, while learning Authority policies and procedures. 

Psychiatric Technician II: This is the journey-level classification in the Psychiatric Technician series. Positions at this level are distinguished from the Psychiatric Technician I by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned, working independently, and exercising judgment and initiative. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Under the direction of clinical staff, provides medication management services to a caseload of clients in the office and in the field; ensures the proper acquisition and administration of medication.
   
• Provides education and training to clients, their families, and/or staff on the proper care and use of medications, including symptoms of, reactions to, or side effects of, specific medications; informs clients of the impact of abuse and/or misuse of medications.
   
• Conducts home/field visits to evaluate client’s physical environment and behavior such as anxiety, withdrawals, and behavioral health progression/regression.
   
• Takes and records measures of clients’ vital signs, physical condition, and behaviors; assists and observes clients self-dispense medication as prescribed by a psychiatrist and administers scheduled injections.
   
• Conducts medication checks on clients to assess their overall medication management capabilities; takes appropriate action if client poses danger with respect to the use or abuse of medication; observes, evaluates, records, and reports to professional staff changes in client’s condition.
   
• Motivates clients to develop self-reliance in daily living; encourages clients to participate in group and/or individual therapy/program activities.

The Department

The Public Works Department is committed to high performance levels and standards, utilizing best practices relative to performance management and team-oriented approaches. Our department oversees the maintenance of 260 miles of sanitary sewer lines, 75 miles of storm drains, 210 miles of City streets and 380 miles of sidewalk. To ensure that streets and sidewalks are in proper condition, Public Works manages the Pavement Management Program and the Sidewalk Program to keep our streets and sidewalks clean and in good repair along with a variety of other tasks as it relates to public right of way. The Position

The Public Works Maintenance Leadworker performs skilled work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of sewer infrastructure, road ways, sidewalks, and storm conveyance system. The Leadworker assigns and participates in the work of maintenance crews, operates power driven equipment, and performs related work as required.   This position is responsible for lead supervision of a sewer, street, storm or traffic safety maintenance field crew.
